We loved our days spent in this quiet home. Cozy and comfortable. Most every thing you need in the kitchen. All extra supplies were easy to find. The only note I’d make for us older folks is that the bathroom is on the ground floor and bedrooms are upstairs.

Overall, it was a great stay. Hosts were excellent. Cabin was quite dated. The kitchen needed to be more stocked as far as cookware. Needed some comfortable outside furniture for the deck outside chairs for the fireplace would be nice quick check-in and out just far enough out of town that it felt secluded we did see a moose one morning in the yard. Cabin needed updating. I would recommend this stay.

Seward Adventure Home Base

Seward was amazing. Property had everything we needed to function as home base, did very little food prep, tested well in beautiful surround.

Hi there Seward Adventure homebase! Thanks for the clarifications. I was a little confused that you had the correct property. I understad that removing trash and stripping beds seemed annoying to you. We will revisit our policy onthat -- many timews we will remove trash and bring to the transfer station 1 mile up the road on the last day - our current policy prevents from a stockpile of trash. And stripping the beds does get a jump on the laundry and we appreciate when guests do that so the cleaning crew can clean! Agaon, thanks for your feedback on the phone. Much appreciated!

Beautiful custom built home on a private piece of Homer!

It was a great place to stay just a short scenic drive off of the spit. I will definitely go back

Great time in Homer

We came to Homer to go fishing. We also took the ferry to Seldovia. Moose meadows was a great place to lay our head after a long day of enjoying all Homer had too offer.

Peaceful Paradise

Moose Meadows is so beautiful and peaceful. The decor is very cozy and we felt right at home. Everyone slept like a dream. Hope to make it back someday.

Peaceful property

We really enjoyed this home in the country. It was close enough to Homer to enjoy all the area has to offer. The house was very accommodating and the house offered everything we needed.

Great place from which to launch our adventures. Well-appointed kitchen and easily-accessed location. If I return to Homer, I'll look up this house again.

Cozy cabin

It was like home. Very clean, comfortable but secluded which is like us at home. Close enough to Homer for us to travel. Enjoyed riding the roads and looking at the scenery.

Moose Meadows

This was a terrific rental experience for our adult family. The setting was spectacular, fire pit and deck were a huge plus. House had everything we needed and the owners were always in communication and very friendly

Great Quiet Home

This home was perfect for my family and Grandma. Grandma wasn’t very comfortable with the stairs but the couch was comfortable. We would stay again.

So glad you enjoyed your stay. You arebwleoxme back anytime! Stairs do get to be challenging for us grandmas - especially when getting up at night and needing to go downstairs! For future reference we do have a comfortable rollaway as well as the couch and the little cabin next door 50 feet away has a bed. Still would need to navigate the front steps when getting to the main house. We actually have a momma and baby moose that started wandering through too!

Great cabin

This cabin was great for our group, about 20 min drive to Homer. Quite location, privacy. Communication with Catkin was excellent. Will definitely consider coming back.

Gorgeous home, quiet area, perfection!

My family and I had an amazing stay! It suited us perfectly, We highly recommend if you are looking to be about 15 minutes from downtown Homer with very quiet days and nights and a large home to accommodate everyone. We appreciated the amenities, to include the basic necessities! Thank you so much!!

Peaceful, private cabin in the woods

Wonderful well maintained cabin in the woods. Private and well equipped with everything you need. Great place to decompress and enjoy the peace and quiet. Catkin is a lovely hostess and she made certain we had everything we needed including great directions. Will book again next trip to Homer

Peaceful getaway

The cottage was perfect for our needs. We loved the privacy yet close to town. The evenings on the deck were so relaxing. Had everything we needed to cook and do laundry. Would stay again in the future. Catkin was very easy to work with when I messed up our dates.

The perfect vacation cabin

The cabin is well stocked and taken care of. Sitting outside on the deck was quiet and peaceful. The cabin even lived up to its name. We came back on our last evening to find two cow moose and one calf just off the deck. It was a perfect ending.

Moose Meadows is in a beautiful place with a great view. The property is in a great location as well. The beds are very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked. It was a great place to stay and would definitely stay here again!There is 1 bathroom on the 1st floor and all bedrooms are on the 2nd floor and the water has a strong tinny/metal taste/smell. You can not park near the house either so be prepared to walk all items through the front yard to get them to the house.

Thanks so much. There is a short walk from parking to the house. Some folks drive up to unload/load luggage if needed. Thanks for the comment on the water - we have an iron filter and its now been changed! So glad you enjoyed your stay! Would love to have you stay again.

Relaxing family adventure

We spent a wonderful week here, it was conveniently just a short drive from all the activities in Homer, and the cabin was the perfect fit for the whole family. It is a wonderful and private place to relax after a day of adventures. The host went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed for our stay (including some baby proofing items for our toddler). The cabin lived up to its name with a first moose spotting for mamgu (welsh for grandma) and tadcu (grandpa) on their first trip to Alaska from Wales, UK.
