We loved the location of the house. We walked into town, as well as the beach within minutes. It was so nice to have multiple sitting areas to choose from and we found everything we needed in the kitchen. The owners are awesome and respond quickly if you have any questions. We enjoyed our stay very much.

We’ve stayed here several times, and it’s always a fantastic experience. The location is perfect—an easy walk to the beach, restaurants, and shops. The front porch is our favorite place to relax with coffee in the morning or unwind in the evening. We always enjoy our time here and look forward to coming back. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend! Marty and Kerry were very friendly and responsive to our needs. The house was lovely; we especially enjoyed sitting in the front sun room with our coffee in the morning, and having a glass of wine in the evening. Nine (or so) of the mushroom houses are in the block immediately next to the house, so we were able to easily walk to see them...fun! Immediately across the street was a beach with soft sand, and also Petosky and Charlevois stone hunting! (There were rugged steps down to the beach, easy to manage, but not handicap-accessable.) This deer was in the back yard to greet us when we arrived!

I should probably just ditto our past reviews and the many reviews here from other repeat renters: unbeatable location and a great porch to welcome the mornings, reading the papers on our tablets with a cup of coffee within reach. The evenings are just as enjoyable, and if we want to watch a sunset from the beach, we're down there within a couple of minutes. We appreciated the updates that have been made since our last visit two years ago. Yes, there are some quirky features (to be expected in a house this old), but it has everything we need to be comfortable and be able to fix breakfasts and a few other meals. And of course, downtown with its shops and restaurants is just over 5 minutes away on foot.

Relaxing stay next to the big Lake

We made a quick reservation after some of our other travel plans feel through and our hosts were able to accommodate us. The beds allowed for a solid night's sleep and the house was comfortable. Great relaxing stay.

The location was perfect. The house was very clean. It is nice to have many plates and other kitchen items readily available. Could not ask for a better place to stay.

Great up north house- excellent location

Our family had a wonderful week- we could walk across the road to the beach and easily walk into town for food and shopping.

Wonderful location

We enjoyed our stay very much! The home is beautiful, charming and perfect for a family. Loved the game room and two full bathrooms! Location couldn’t be better.

Great family vacation home

Outstanding location on Lake Michigan and walking distance to beautiful downtown Charlevoix. We had family and good friends visit and between the incredible front porch and the spacious rear deck it was easy to relax and enjoy the cooler summer weather.

This property is in a great location. Very walkable and has “cottage charm”. It feels like a step back in time but the hosts have done a good job supplying all the extras a guest will need. The online description was well represented. We came for a wedding and it met our needs.

Perfect location!

Beautiful beach access right across the street. Easy walking distance to town, park and marina. Lots of room in the house and a great front porch and deck. We go back here to stay every year.

Great location near Thatch House

Spacious, well equipped, and convenient location. Just a few houses down from Thatch House and a short walk to restaurants, shops, and marina.

Excellent Place to Stay

The house was located within walking distance of both the beach and downtown area. We are a family of five and there was plenty of space to spread out in both sleeping and seating areas House was clean and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Would highly recommend staying here to family and friends!

Amazing location!

Wonderful locatio !

This lovely home is in a superb Charlevoix location. Lake view thru the trees at the park across the street, short stroll to both a beach park and downtown, and adjacent to several mushroom houses! Be sure to take a mushroom house tour, charming and informative.
