This is a one bedroom (sleeps 2), loft (sleeps 4) and one bath home. The basement has a small bath and a full size lofted bed. The couch can be made into a full sleeping two comfortably. We fully remodeled this home ourselves to be a place to get away as a family and share with friends. Indoor fireplace as well as a outside fire pit. A great porch to sit and enjoy the outside with lots of outdoor space to enjoy as we are on the edge of national forest. A creek across the street a short walk down the hill near the volunteer firestation as well as 3 miles from Lynx Lake. Near mountain biking, hiking, fishing and outdoor fun.

We are located just outside of downtown about 13 miles away and there are grocery stores etc within 7 miles. Dogs are welcome if they are house broken and well behaved.

Driveway is 1/4 mile dirt road 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive very helpful. Sedans and mini vans make it up, just punch it and go!

Fun cabin outside on Prescott

The location in the woods was great and was as described in the listing. The house was large enough for a big family but note most of the sleeping areas are either in the loft (3 beds) or the basement (2 beds) and are set up for groups of kids rather than couples. There is one private bedroom with a Queen bed. The host Rochelle was very responsive to the few questions I had when we checked in. The only caution I would mention is the heat in the summer. The cabin does not have AC and the fans and one evap cooler in the living room was not sufficient to be comfortable on a July afternoon. I'm sure it will be cozy in the cooler months. Kitchen had everything we needed. Bathrooms were newer and clean with lots of towels.

Family Friendly Getaway

If you are looking for a family friendly cabin this is it! Plenty of fun for kids. Plenty of relaxation for adults. We saw wildlife, enjoyed the outdoors but with the comforts of home.

Sneaky Get-Away

As a native Phoenix dweller, I had no idea these Ponderosa Pines were so close... I always reserved that feel for the extreme Northern areas of the State. Only 8miles or so from the Town, so can still get into civilization when needed, but plenty of off-grid outdoor things to do if you enjoy hiking. Gotta love the fresh running water nearby.

Paradise Hill West

We rented this property due to its location close to my daughter’s home and amid the pines! It was a joy to wake up to blue skies, the smell of pines and hiking trails right from the property! We could not have asked for a more comfortable home with all the needed amenities! The porch swing, rocking chairs, games, etc were greatly enjoyed! The hosts were so kind and accommodating! They responded to us when needed and really were angels helping us through an emergency relocation! They made a stressful situation so much easier! We can never thank them enough!

Great place!

We loved it and will probably be back one day! Clean and cute! The girls loved to explore around the woods and downtown is always fun. It's very close to Lynx Lake.

Walker cabin

Family and I had a great time in this one. The scenery is very beautiful and what attracted us the most. The cabin itself had everything you could possibly need and fit perfect a family of 7. Only hassle was the dumpster location & the water running out issue due to it being ran off a well. I would also recommend some kind of truck or SUV to reach the destination. Was a pretty cool path going up and down with my truck. Overall : Great place, peaceful environment & good communication from owners when it was needed. Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful cabin in the woods

Fun get away in the woods

We had a lovely time with two families at this comfortable, rustic, and well equipped cabin. Great access to kid friendly trails and lots of fun things to do and explore. The porch is perfect, shaded and cozy with a swing, rocking chairs and a picnic table.

A little getaway

All worked out well! Didn’t know if we would make it up the hill though in our vehicle but we did after a few attempts. Nice and quiet location!

Cozy Cabin in the Woods

We had a great stay up in the cool pines of Prescott. Cozy yet spacious cabin stocked with everything you need to escape in comfort from the big city. We especially enjoyed the porch with log poles, wagon wheels, and a swing. The air was crisp and cool, and the deer scampered through the grounds to our delight. Dont hesitate to come and visit this ole cabin in the woods!

Cabin in the woods

Perfect place for our stay in Prescott! We loved the location being in the woods and outside of town. Super close to Lynx Lake. Plenty of space. The WiFi was fast for work too. Couldn’t have picked a better place for us!

Amazing Property

Great stay! The property backs the national forest and very private. Perfect spot for a family with children to play and explore the forest. The house has all amenities needed and the owners are very responsive. We will definitely come back.

We'd come back!

Lovely, spacious cabin in a captivating landscape. Opportunities for growth include: cleaning staff my friends noted, completed to allow later than expected 3pm entry just after 3:30pm. Hoped to use the grill but found it caked w/ prior grillings, without fuel, and a broken handle. A heads up as to where (as is at the fire station, which of the 9 locked dumpsters is the one including the combo, provided the AM of check out, rather than guests having to realize and seek this out, would increase the peak experience. Still...none of these opps are major and Rochelle is friendly with a happy warm experience to share. Our small group agreed, we'd come back.

Great weekend getaway!

We had a wonderful time at the cabin. Plenty of room for our party of 8. We really appreciated the spices and such in the kitchen. Would definitely book this cabin again

After looking for several years this property came to our attention completely gutted and needing a remodel. We spent 6 weekends completely remodeling every inch, including installing a 1000 lb 30 foot long beam along with our family and friends. Every inch of the remodel was somehow touched by those who love us and knew we had dreamed of this place. We celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary with friends and family from across the US here as our first gathering after the remodel. That weekend was everything we hoped this place will represent for those who would visit. We hope all who walk thru the doors and explore the land will be just as blessed by the space and go out to find adventure.
