Four bedroom lake front cottage on Lake James. Large front yard with fire pit, 65' lake frontage, pier with shallow, sandy beach. Deep water off end of pier for fishing. From lake side, walk in to a sun porch of cedar, great room with pull-out sofa bed, kitchen, laundry room, bath. Washer, dryer, dishwasher, large kitchen, central air. Four bedrooms upstairs, with bath/shower. Beds/king, queen, full, twin.

Lake getaway

Wonderf’ul lake home. Good location

Lake home that had a “cottage” feel. Was clean and well-furnished. Kitchen very useable except for smallish fridge with broken crisper drawers ( a very small inconvenience ). Loved every day of our 7 day stay. Want 2 weeks next September!

Great Lake House

Karen’s lake house was perfect for our family of 8. Everything was sparkling clean when we got there. She has everything you need in the kitchen, bathrooms, and even provided beach towels. There was really nothing missing for a week’s stay at the lake. We stayed here about 8 years ago and noticed when we arrived this time that the house has been kept up to date with new flooring and furniture. Lake front, nice dock, and sandy beach rounded out a perfect stay. Wonderful week. Thank you Karen!

Everything You Need!

We really enjoyed our 2 week stay at this lake house. The location was perfect - close to the highway exit, grocery, restaurants, etc. We loved the knotty pine/cedar sun porch. We spent a portion of every day here. The sandy beach and super-clear water were wonderful. We docked our boat and 2 jet-ski's at the pier. Great view of the fireworks from the house on the 4th. The couple of times we had questions or needed something, the response was immediate. I notified the caretaker that the propane tank was out and a new one was there in 10 minutes. Very comfortable, AC was great. The kitchen is well-stocked. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. Pet friendly which was a bonus.

Week at the Lake

The property and the owner/hosts were fantastic. We had a wonderful week and had everything we needed. It was very comfortable for 3 couples and a guest or 2 that stopped by for a night.

Nice Place on a Nice Lake

We have stayed in this lake house twice now. No complaints. Everything was great both times. We love Lake James and this is a perfect way to enjoy it.

Nice, Easy Vacation

The perfect vacation spot for our young family (almost 2 and almost 4 yo). Nice open layout for the first floor, big beautiful yard, nice sandy swimming right at the house, and even a spot for our boat. Very easy check-in and check-out. Would definitely stay here again, but do be aware there is no railing for the stairs going to the second story (for those with very little ones).

A Great Location.

Very Nice!

Corresponding with the owner was extremely easy. The cottage was clean and well-stocked upon our arrival. The beach was fabulous! We would definitely stay there again! The only suggestion I could make would be that there be bouys/markers put out so the boats and jet skis don't come so close to the swimming area.

Lake Visit

Perfect in most ways, however, all 4 bedrooms upstairs were very warm for sleeping. Portable fans are an absolute must in addition to the ceiling fans already present, at least they were for most of us. The pier was wonderful, although buoys are needed in front of the pier for additional safety. We definitely recommend this location. Less boat traffic than on the upper two basins.

A Wonderful Cottage on Lake James

The cottage is very well maintained, comfortable and has plenty of amenities. The bedrooms are good sized with comfortable beds. The sandy lake bottom off the dock is perfect for young swimmers and wading. Lots of fishing action right off the dock. The cottage is conveniently located near grocery stores, shopping and restaurants. Lake James (and the connecting lakes) are Great for boating, water sports and fishing. Would definitely rent again!

Perfect Getaway!

My family has stayed twice at this comfortable lake cottage. The cottage is clean, spacious, and well appointed with everything you need for a relaxing vacation. The neighbors are super friendly too, which only adds to the experience. Lake James is gorgeous! The cottage dock is perfect for swimming, wading, and boating. Our kids (ages 7, 10, 15) had SO much fun! Many wonderful memories were made. Karen is an excellent host. She is very responsive to questions and/or concerns. She had me at "Don't lift a finger!" when I asked about cleaning up at check-out. I can tell that Karen really loves her lake cottage and wants her guests to experience the best of like at the lake!

A picture perfect getaway on Lake James!

This was an amazing getaway! We had Beautiful views of Lake James and it was very peaceful, and quiet with a large backyard that over looks the lake! Karen was wonderful to work with and was very prompt with any questions we had. I would recommend this this cottage to all families who need some quality time.

Great family vacation

This was a great house for our family vacation. - even more spacious than it looked online. Our host was helpful with our questions and quickly took care of a small problem that occurred. The location is beautiful and also close to any stores needed (we did need a few more bathroom supplies than expected). We took advantage of a very nice grill and fire pit. The TV was great to catch football games - very easy to use. We had fun fishing off the dock and caught enough in the lake for a fish fry. Note: it is a long way to public access for a boat, but once we made it back we were able to keep our fishing boat & kayaks right out front during our stay. Beautiful well-equipped home that accommodated our 7 adults easily.

Vacation 2019

Great house, great location

I brought the family and kids up to the lake. Such a peaceful spot on the lake with good fishing off the dock. Clean home and big enough for a family.

Great for families!

This lake house was great for our 2 young families and "Grammy." We were even able to bring our dog. It was very clean, well-stocked with toiletries and household items, and had a good layout. The 4 bedrooms and 1 of the bathrooms are on the upper level, with plenty of room in the master for pack n plays. The interior staircase to the main level is very narrow, which made it a little difficult bringing in groceries, etc. The main level is open concept living/dining/kitchen, with a screened porch and beautiful views of the lake. The yard is perfect for the kids and dog - very large and flat. The lake is shallow enough by the seawall for the toddlers to stand, and our 4-1/2 year old was able to reach to the end of the dock. The location was perfect. Stores and restaurants are only a 5-10 minute drive from the house. Local favorites we tried and would recommend, are Caruso’s (Italian…..we ordered take out), Club Paradise (restaurant/bar with a separate room for families), and Tom’s Donuts. We also took the kids to Commons Park, which is a great playground for all ages, and Carnegie Public Library. The library has a very nice kid’s area, and was a good rainy day activity. Although the weather wasn’t great for the last half of our trip, we really enjoyed Angola, Lake James, and the lake house. Karen was easy to work with, responded within 24 hours, and was quick in returning our security deposit. We will definitely consider returning!!
