Beautiful Cozy Cabin with 180 Degree Breathtaking Lake and Mountain Views!

Our cozy cabin is located in peaceful Columbine Lake. The private Columbine Lake community is centrally located just a few miles between historic downtown Grand Lake and Rocky Mountain National Park.

From our deck, relax and enjoy the amazing, unobstructed 180-degree views of Columbine Lake and Mt. Baldy as you grill out, watch the hummingbirds at the feeder, or spot a moose, deer, and/or fox walking by—something we see almost every day.

The main floor has a fully equipped kitchen, a table that seats 8, and 2 bar stools at the counter. The open living room has 1 couch, 2 chairs, a TV, and a small wood-burning stove to warm you on cooler mornings or at night as you gaze up at the stars through the large front windows. There is also gas and electric heat, as well as a laundry room.

The main floor has 2 bedrooms with queen-sized beds and TVs, along with 2 full bathrooms, one with a bathtub. The upstairs loft has a desk and chair with a door separating it from the bedroom. The upstairs bedroom has 2 queen beds, 2 twin beds, and a TV.

Our property is very safe and family-friendly. All railings are up to code, and we provide many games for all ages, 2 adult bikes, helmets, a Pack ’n Play, toddler bed rails, a high chair, booster seat, safety gates, and a safe yard for kids to play in.

There is plenty of parking in the driveway and room for a trailer. Please note that parking is not allowed on the road.

The quaint town of Grand Lake has something for everyone, with over 60 shops, restaurants, and galleries, along with many festivals and fireworks shows. In the summer, you can enjoy the beach, swimming, or rent a paddleboard, paddleboat, kayak, or pontoon boat. You can also go fishing on one of the beautiful nearby lakes: Grand Lake, Shadow Mountain Lake, or Lake Granby. You can even take in a show at the renowned Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre.

The entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park and the Kawuneeche Visitor Center is only 2 miles from our cabin. From there, you can enjoy the amazing Trail Ridge Road drive, with breathtaking views from elevations over 12,000 feet, or explore one of the many hiking and biking trails and enjoy the incredible wildlife sightings the park has to offer.

The Columbine Lake area also has the Grand Lake Golf Course, Nordic Ski Center and Sledding Hill, Sly Fox Restaurant, and hiking trails.

In the winter, Grand Lake is known as the “Snowmobiling Capital of Colorado.” It transforms into a winter wonderland with miles and miles of trails. You can snowmobile from our cabin to over 100 miles of groomed trails or ride into town to one of the many restaurants for dinner.

You can also cross-country ski, snowshoe, or take the kiddos sledding at the Grand Lake Nordic Center, only 1 mile from the cabin. Rental equipment is available. Afterward, enjoy sipping hot chocolate, a hot toddy, or soup at the clubhouse. You can ice fish on one of the 3 surrounding lakes—Grand Lake, Shadow Mountain Lake, and Lake Granby. You can also snowboard and/or downhill ski at Granby Ranch Resort or even try dog sledding, which is always a unique and memorable experience.

Columbine Lake is a private, covenant-controlled community. Renters are not allowed to use the clubhouse, gazebo, horse pasture, OHVs, or Columbine Lake. Please plan on using one of the three local lakes only minutes away—Grand Lake, Lake Granby, and Shadow Mountain Lake—for all of your lake activities.

Smoking and pets are not allowed.
