Relaxing Casita With Hot Tub Near The Broadmoor

Our beautiful and cozy Casa Hovel, located a hop away from the Ivywild eateries, a skip from the Broadmoor and a jump from downtown, is the ultimate place to stay for your next trip to Colorado Springs. This home is unlike any other you have experienced. Built in order to sustain efficient living, Casa Hovel has a unique, southwestern feel. The adobe exterior, colorful tiles, kiva fireplace and ceiling vigas will leave you feeling comforted and relaxed for your entire stay. While the home does include two bedrooms and one and a half baths, each bedroom is located in a separate building, accommodating the privacy of our guests.
The main "casa" has a front courtyard decorated with red adirondack chairs, water fountain and is scattered with vibrant wild flowers. Each house has a covered patio for early morning coffees, long talks, games and summer night cocktails. But don't worry, for those cold winter days, there are warm robes and a hot tub to warm up cold toes and each house is equipped with a quaint fireplace. For those more athletically inclined, the home has a spacious yard and is right down the road from Cheyenne Mountain Canyon where tourists and townies alike go to hike, bike and sightsee. Not to mention the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Tinseltown movie theater and Broadmoor bowling alley are all close by if you are traveling with children. The home has soft natural lighting, brand new stainless steel appliances and a washer and dryer. The "casa" has a new walk-in shower and the "casita" has a powder room. All in all, your visit to Colorado Springs would not be complete without a stay at Casa Hovel.

Loved it here! It is such a cute place to stay and perfect for our party. Well maintained, comfortable. The property was as described. It was a great fit for our 3 night stay. We would definitely stay there again.

Family vacation

We stayed in Colorado Springs for 2 nights as we were wanting to see as much of Colorado as we could during our week stay. That being said we would have loved to stay longer in the casita. It was such a cozy place and we loved sitting in the hot tub at night and watching the storms roll in. Thank you Caren for being an excellent host!

Little Oasis in Colorado Springs

This really is a gem! Somehow it’s evening more charming in person- might just be the prettiest short term rental I’ve ever stayed at, all the details made it feel upscale yet homey. The beds were comfy, the backyard and hot tub was perfection, and access to a washer/dryer was a plus. And the host was very kind and communicativeFor the sake of honesty, a couple cons- the lack of AC was notable during the afternoon, but not too bad. During our stay, the high was around 80- windows open and fans on at night made it perfectly pleasant, but it was a bit warm during the day. And then the home is at the cross section of two residential roads- not noticeable at all from inside, but if using the backyard/hot tub, definitely there is road noise.However knowing those things, I would still absolutely stay here again (and hope to be able to do so!). Highly recommend

Amazing and unique property, absolutely beautiful.

We stayed three nights, and slept in both the main casa (once) and the very unique and beautiful single bedroom casa adjacent and across the private fenced in yard. Our two little dogs absolutely had a blast roaming around the yard and beautiful gardens (they loved it!) it was such an easy stay and the host was very thorough and thoughtful, ensuring everything we needed. I would highly recommend this property for anyone, but it was perfect for just my wife and I and our two small dogs. This property has so much personality and beauty it's remarkable. The little touches such as the lightning, art and the overall feel of the house and property were very authentic and romantic. We had an amazing time, and it is located in a beautiful part of the city. Thanks so much for this much needed getaway!

Amazing stay supported by the most super of super hosts

We actually switched properties first day. There was an issue with the hot tub and the host knew that was important to us - without hesitation she moved us to her super deluxe Stratton property .It was absolutely amazing. Beautiful exterior and interior nestled next to a flowing stream. There are stream side chairs for morning coffee and stream side hammocks for afternoon snooze. Very quiet with an abundance of both flora and fauna. Great hot tub with robes provided for all guests. Linens and beds top notch ( we slept in the master suite). Host was very responsive and accommodating. I highly recommend - perfect retreat!

Cozy adorable casa

We had a great time here. Loved the fireplace, hot tub and chilling on the patio with the fairy lights. Fenced backyard was perfect for our two dogs. The 12-year-old with us loved the casita out back. Host was very friendly and quick to respond to questions. Would definitely stay here again!

Relaxing and festive December stay

We were thankful to stay at this lovely and relaxing, pet-friendly casita while visiting family in the CSC area. Caren is a fabulous host and answered all of our questions before, during and even after our stay. She stayed in touch and made sure we had everything we needed. The back house and hot tub are a plus and our dogs enjoyed the fenced in yard. Host has added some very thoughtful touches, like plenty of soap, towels, extra blankets and pillows. The home stays warm and toasty inside too. Since we visited in December the adorable holiday decorations made for a festive stay. Location is close to so many notable attractions, activities and restaurants. My husband is over 6 foot tall so the back house bed worked better for us to sleep in. However, I loved the little nook in the main house for reading and napping. We would love to work with Caren again on a future visit.

Thanksgiving retreat

We had a charming time staying in this little casita! Making fires every night was fun! We did have to sleep separately in different buildings, which was different but fun. Nice yard for kids to play in. I would love to see a lock on the hot tub for child safety.

Well-Accommodated at a Great Location

from check in to check out, the casita met our needs and fulfilled our expectations. The location was fantastic, 3 minutes from groceries and gas, and 15 mins or less to everything we wanted to do in Colorado Springs! My favorite part of every day was sitting outside either in the hot tub or by the fire, surrounded by the beautiful backyard setting of the casita. It’s also nice that the detached bedroom is also equipped with a bathroom, very useful. We had no issues and everything was accurate. AC would have been nice but it cools down at night, so by cracking the window and making use of the 2 fans, it’s manageable even in August.

Cozy and Perfect

This home was exactly how the pictures showed but even better in person. The separate casita was so great as with 4 people and luggage, it made the stay feel "less crowded." The private yard and sitting areas felt very cozy and comfortable for coffee, conversation, cocktails..Would definitely stay here again next time around. The host was GREAT.

Wonderful Casita in Colorado Springs

We loved staying in this historic home during our trip to Colorado Springs. The casita and extra bedroom were perfect for our small family. The architecture is impressive. Both spaces are well designed. Caren was kind, professional and helpful with emails. Check-in/out procedures were clear. We feel privileged to have stayed in her home. The fenced yard was helpful since we brought our small dog. Everything was first class. We look forward to returning.

We are originally from Oklahoma but always longed to live in the "west". After finishing our education (University of Florida, University of Oklahoma and Duke University), we moved to Colorado Springs in 2002. It is hard to imagine living anywhere else. We have four children, ages 21-12, and love the out of doors. We would love to make you feel at home and get the most out of your time in Colorado! This piece of property is one we have always admired and have been curious about. When it went on the market, we jumped at the chance to be the care takers of such a wonderful, special place. We can't wait to share it.

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

This is a unique property, as you will see if you stay here. The layout of the two "casitas" is very unusual and affords two couples or family lots of privacy and feels like a small compound. The yard, porches and outdoor living spaces are magical, and the inside living is so quaint and cozy with natural light from the skylights. It feels very safe and reminds me of my favorite smaller spaces as a child. I think that is why we fell in love with it. There is also the fact that it is so close to so many incredible, outdoor colorado experiences and seeing the Broadmoor up close and personal. Of course, sitting in the hot tub and taking it all in, is the icing on the cake for me.
