Relaxing Casita With Hot Tub Near The Broadmoor

Our beautiful and cozy Casa Hovel, located a hop away from the Ivywild eateries, a skip from the Broadmoor and a jump from downtown, is the ultimate place to stay for your next trip to Colorado Springs. This home is unlike any other you have experienced. Built in order to sustain efficient living, Casa Hovel has a unique, southwestern feel. The adobe exterior, colorful tiles, kiva fireplace and ceiling vigas will leave you feeling comforted and relaxed for your entire stay. While the home does include two bedrooms and one and a half baths, each bedroom is located in a separate building, accommodating the privacy of our guests.
The main "casa" has a front courtyard decorated with red adirondack chairs, water fountain and is scattered with vibrant wild flowers. Each house has a covered patio for early morning coffees, long talks, games and summer night cocktails. But don't worry, for those cold winter days, there are warm robes and a hot tub to warm up cold toes and each house is equipped with a quaint fireplace. For those more athletically inclined, the home has a spacious yard and is right down the road from Cheyenne Mountain Canyon where tourists and townies alike go to hike, bike and sightsee. Not to mention the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Tinseltown movie theater and Broadmoor bowling alley are all close by if you are traveling with children. The home has soft natural lighting, brand new stainless steel appliances and a washer and dryer. The "casa" has a new walk-in shower and the "casita" has a powder room. All in all, your visit to Colorado Springs would not be complete without a stay at Casa Hovel.

The property was very nice, clean and adorable. It was was ideal for a dog with a fenced in yard and so close to The Broadmoor and all the local activities...The property manager is very efficient and had all of our information sent to us promptly..we are already renting it again for family during the holidays....thank you for the great staycay...

Colorado Springs Getaway

We really enjoyed our stay in the Casita! The backyard was so cute and peaceful. We really enjoyed the hot tub as well. The location was great, close to all the attractions we wanted to see.

Amazing stay supported by the most super of super hosts

We actually switched properties first day. There was an issue with the hot tub and the host knew that was important to us - without hesitation she moved us to her super deluxe Stratton property .It was absolutely amazing. Beautiful exterior and interior nestled next to a flowing stream. There are stream side chairs for morning coffee and stream side hammocks for afternoon snooze. Very quiet with an abundance of both flora and fauna. Great hot tub with robes provided for all guests. Linens and beds top notch ( we slept in the master suite). Host was very responsive and accommodating. I highly recommend - perfect retreat!

Amazing and unique property, absolutely beautiful.

We stayed three nights, and slept in both the main casa (once) and the very unique and beautiful single bedroom casa adjacent and across the private fenced in yard. Our two little dogs absolutely had a blast roaming around the yard and beautiful gardens (they loved it!) it was such an easy stay and the host was very thorough and thoughtful, ensuring everything we needed. I would highly recommend this property for anyone, but it was perfect for just my wife and I and our two small dogs. This property has so much personality and beauty it's remarkable. The little touches such as the lightning, art and the overall feel of the house and property were very authentic and romantic. We had an amazing time, and it is located in a beautiful part of the city. Thanks so much for this much needed getaway!

Little Oasis in Colorado Springs

This really is a gem! Somehow it’s evening more charming in person- might just be the prettiest short term rental I’ve ever stayed at, all the details made it feel upscale yet homey. The beds were comfy, the backyard and hot tub was perfection, and access to a washer/dryer was a plus. And the host was very kind and communicativeFor the sake of honesty, a couple cons- the lack of AC was notable during the afternoon, but not too bad. During our stay, the high was around 80- windows open and fans on at night made it perfectly pleasant, but it was a bit warm during the day. And then the home is at the cross section of two residential roads- not noticeable at all from inside, but if using the backyard/hot tub, definitely there is road noise.However knowing those things, I would still absolutely stay here again (and hope to be able to do so!). Highly recommend

Perfect Getaway

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights and we absolutely had a blast. We packed in a lot of hiking, shopping and sight seeing, almost made we wished we booked one more night to just re-coop! The location was excellent because anything you needed was actually right around the corner or not that far away. As for the property itself, it was so cozy and had everything you needed to feel like home plus a few extra amenities! I would not hesitate staying here again for a return trip!

Getaway

Amazing place to relax & enjoy the mountain scenery. Close to many trails, restaurants and just an inviting space to relax without the hustle and bustle. The property is all you need for a recharge. I would definitely stay here again if available. The hosts were easy to communicate with and very accommodating. So grateful for our time spent here exploring Colorado Springs.

Charming Casita

Lovely little casita. My husband and 2 little dogs and I enjoyed our stay. Very close to everything we wanted to do. Neighborhood was fun to walk in. Caren was easy to reach and very helpful. 2 lovely areas to relax in. The street was pretty busy.

Well-Accommodated at a Great Location

from check in to check out, the casita met our needs and fulfilled our expectations. The location was fantastic, 3 minutes from groceries and gas, and 15 mins or less to everything we wanted to do in Colorado Springs! My favorite part of every day was sitting outside either in the hot tub or by the fire, surrounded by the beautiful backyard setting of the casita. It’s also nice that the detached bedroom is also equipped with a bathroom, very useful. We had no issues and everything was accurate. AC would have been nice but it cools down at night, so by cracking the window and making use of the 2 fans, it’s manageable even in August.

Cutest Place Ever!

My husband and I went to Colorado Springs for parents weekend at the Academy and met our son for a relaxing break from school. Caren was very organized in getting us all the info needed. We chose the house for it's separate Casita and hot tub. The hot tub and patio area were so fun for just hanging out and visiting. My son got to sleep in as much as he wanted because he was in his own space. We cooked and BBQ'd and everything we needed was there, beautiful and nice quality.

Amazing Early Mardi Gras/Guys Trip Visit!

Our group of 8 friends in our 40s met up in New Orleans for the early Mardi Gras weekend and we couldn't have been more pleased with our experience at Amy's house! It was really cool to stay in a neighborhood that wasn't the CBD or the Quarter. We found the ferry (10-minute walk) to be quite convenient to get across in the days and evenings. Even with it being a busier weekend in Nola, we were able to arrange Lyfts or Ubers to get back easily. One tip: when requesting a car from Algiers, give yourself a bit of extra time in case any drivers cancel due to traffic. Algiers had a lot of character and we found a couple restaurants (Tonti's Hand for French and Barracuda for tacos, etc) and a market within walking distance that we loved. The house itself is very well-appointed and comfortable. The design on the first floor is outstanding and something you'd see in a magazine. All of the bedrooms and bathrooms were nice and perfect for a group of our size. We really enjoyed how well-stocked the kitchen was as well! Finally, even though the weather was a bit cold/rainy for part of our visit, the unheated saltwater pool came in handy for cold plunges for our group each day! Amy was also very helpful and communicative via text during our stay and made some good recommendations for us! If you're coming to New Orleans with a group of family or friends, this property is a really lovely home base for what will surely be a memorable weekends in such an amazing city!

We enjoyed this quiet little adobe. Coffee out back in the morning and the hottub in the evening. It's a small but well equipped space. Host was responsive to any questions we had.

This was a great little Casita. It was perfect for our family of 3 with a Teen son. He loved having his own space, and it worked out well for us. This wouldn’t be all that good for a bigger family, but we loved it. The street was a little busy, but the walks in the neighborhood up the hill were great, with huge bucks and doe’s every day, I love the springs. Would definitely stay again. If I get the chance. All felt right @ home.

Loved the casita just right for the two of us. Near great grocery stores, we only ate out once. Enjoyed the hot tub. Convenient to everywhere we wanted to go. Our host was great. It was a super relaxing weekend.

After finishing our education (University of Florida, University of Oklahoma and Duke University), we moved to Colorado Springs in 2002. It is hard to imagine living anywhere else. We have four children, ages 21-12, and love the out of doors. We would love to make you feel at home and get the most out of your time in Colorado! This piece of property is one we have always admired and have been curious about. When it went on the market, we jumped at the chance to be the care takers of such a wonderful, special place. We can't wait to share it.

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

This is a unique property, as you will see if you stay here. The layout of the two "casitas" is very unusual and affords two couples or family lots of privacy and feels like a small compound. The yard, porches and outdoor living spaces are magical, and the inside living is so quaint and cozy with natural light from the skylights. It feels very safe and reminds me of my favorite smaller spaces as a child. I think that is why we fell in love with it. There is also the fact that it is so close to so many incredible, outdoor colorado experiences and seeing the Broadmoor up close and personal. Of course, sitting in the hot tub and taking it all in, is the icing on the cake for me.
