Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: WOW!! The listing undersold the property! We had everything we needed and more. Clean, comfortable and convenient. The property is updated and extremely easy to use as an anchor for our sightseeing. The unit even had beach chairs for us to borrow. The kitchen was fully stocked - toasters, rice cooker, blenders ect! Bedroom was nice and comfy! Our daughter used the sleeper sofa and had no complaints

Great vacation spot

The condo was in a great location! Close to the beach, stores and restaurants. Condo was quiet, clean and spacious. Host was responsive and helpful. We had a fantastic vacay!

The location was very good, close to beach and shopping. The unit was spotless, but could use some updates. The IPhone app for rental details and check in was awesome and really made it easy. Only downside was the hotel elevators, which are ridiculously slow. Thank you!

ONE OF THE BEST UNITS IN WAIKIKI SUNSET

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo had just undergone a wall-to-wall renovation and was in excellent condition. The building has no dishwashers if that matters to you. We were never able to figure out how to use the TV except for Netflix; the rental agency offered to send a serviceperson, but we could not find a mutually-acceptable time for his visit. Not an emergency during a one-week stay in Honolulu!

An Excellent Condo in Waikiki

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed in an Ali'i Beach Rental condo on Paoakalani Avenue in Waikiki for 16 nights. Our experience was great; it felt more like living at home than in a hotel. We went to the Safeway for groceries and had some meals at 'home'. Check-in and check-out couldn't have been smoother. We had a short walk to the beach. The condo had everything we could ask for, including an ice cream scoop. Ali'i Beach Rental will be our first choice for our next vacation in any area they serve. One of the reasons we selected this property is the many five star reviews we read. Now back home after a great vacation in a great condo, this is my five star review. Thank you Ali'i Beach Rental.

Adequate for our needs

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were pleasantly surprised to find such a nice unit. The towels were soft and plentiful. The shower head was a rain shower or could be used as handheld. The large window gave an open feel to condo.the only negative is I wish parking was included. The other piece is the bedroom linen needs updating and the full and twin bed needs to be replaced with at least a queen been. Mattresses not very comfortAble. They are hard. Combo lock was nice.unit needs updating, furnishing and counter tops.

Good option if you are on a budget

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed for 2 weeks; I was with my adult daughter. The decor in the unit is the same as it was when I first stayed at the Waikiki Sunset in 1987, but there was no bad smell in the unit, and everything was clean, except the carpet.The unit is carpeted and walking in our socks for a few minutes got them pretty dirty. The location is good, It's 2 blocks from the beach, but the same location at the other end of Waikiki would not have given us such a good access to the beach. There is no dishwasher, and no wine glasses and the kitchen is equipped like a rental would be. So no big meals were cooked there but there is 3 bbqs on the 6th floor and we used them. The pool is really only ok. It's heated but mostly in the shade. It's not very busy.I was disappointed when 2 weeks after check out, I received an email asking me for $40 because one of the sheets was stained with what appeared to be nail polish. The delay and the fact that we don't use nail polish, made me re-think whether or not I would use Ali'i Beach Rentals again. Maybe I should send them a bill for my stained socks.

Great condo for family

Very pleasant stay, and we were very happy with the condo. The owner was very helpful, and communication was excellent. The condo was in a great location—close to the beach, stores, and restaurants. The rooms were clean and spacious for the four of us. The living room had a double sofa bed that was very comfortable, and the bedroom had a double bed as well as a sofa bed. The kitchen had all the supplies needed, and the pots and pans we used were in very good condition. The owner was so thoughtful and had prepared four bottles of water for our arrival in the fridge! We arrived at the end of August. The air conditioning and overhead fan were great! The balcony was fantastic, and we were fortunate to watch the sunset. We had no issues with the elevator, and they sent reminders in advance about its closure for maintenance from 8 am to 9 am on Wednesday. We didn’t rent a car here in Waikiki, but this location was very close to the bus stop—just one street away. There was only one issue with the double bed: the frame of the bed was too wide compared to the mattress, and three of us bumped and bruised our legs on it. It would be nice if some protectors could be added to the frame to prevent accidents, especially considering the safety of kids. Overall, we strongly recommend this place—it's clean, quiet, convenient, and reasonably priced. The photos are all true to the real world.
