Carol was an amazing host to our family! She gave us tons of ideas for our visit, and awesome restaurant recommendations. The house has the most beautiful view, and my kids enjoyed listening to the train come in during the evenings. The house was the perfect fit for our family- very clean, lots of kitchen necessities, and I loved that there is a washer and dryer. We can’t wait to stay here and visit Durango again!

This property is great, spacious home, with incredible view of Animas Valley and the surrounding neighborhood. It is a short walk to coffee, a bakery and a few restaurants. For those with disabilities please be aware this is a two story home with living quarters upstairs and bedrooms downstairs. I missed that for my Mother in law, but we still really enjoyed our stay!You will love Carol, the owner! One of the sweetest women I’ve ever met! Thanks Carol!!!

Five stars: Clean, bright, and beautiful!Our stay in Durango was wonderful. We stayed in the casita, the guest house on the property, and it was thoughtfully done and spotlessly clean. It's bright and airy, with a beautiful view and everything we needed to feel at home. The property had all the amenities we needed as a family of four, and it was roomy and comfortable, never small. Two bedrooms and a bath are downstairs, with the kitchen, living room, and another bath upstairs. There's even a queen bed in the main living space, which made it feel so spacious. It's close to so much, including the hot springs, Main Street, and the Animas River Trail, which we walked again and again. We also loved the drive up to Silverton, and the Fall leaves were stunning! Carol lives on site and was so welcoming every time we ran into her. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it.

The house is exactly as described. IT WAS FANTASTIC! It was clean and extremely well cared for with so many nice extras. The VIEW from the second story roofed porch is amazing! Kitchen is well equipped and the bed was comfortable. The hosts could not have been any better. They live right next door and were very informative about the area and extremely responsive to any questions. If we are ever in the area we won't look for another place to stay. We have found our go-to VRBO for the area. Thanks so much for a beautiful well-kept property.

We loved everything about our stay here-close to town but the setting is so peaceful and views from the deck are incredible! The house is very comfortably furnished and well stocked for cooking at home. Host is very friendly and easy to communicate with. We will definitely return to this house next time we are in Durango if it's available!

The property was as described. You do have to walk through one bedroom to get to the other, but that was not a problem for our family. The views from the deck more than made up for that!The location was great - centrally located for the activities we did.

Very nice, clean, home with a wonderful view of mountains to the north. Furnishings and decorations were very attractive and comfortable. Kitchen was large with all appliances and utensils needed. The beds were situated and arranged exactly like we needed to accommodate our group. Rooms were very sunny and spacious.Our host was available and friendly and we knew she was there in case we needed anything during our stay.It was a great home away from home!

Carol is the most wonderful hostess! You are truly a guest, not just a business transaction. The house is situated on the top of a hill with a beautiful view from the living room or back deck. The location is great for getting anywhere in Durango, but especially handy for those folks riding bikes up into the mountains. We have stayed here twice (only because it was not available on another trip), and will always check for availability here first.

The property was beautiful, and then we had a lot of wildlife come visit us. It was a stunning backdrop of the beautiful mountains and Green valleys. The hosts were very communicative and easy to work with - highly recommend.

Great location with fantastic views. The house was very spacious and had all the amenities as if you were at home. Carol was invaluable and communicated effectively before we even arrived. I would recommend this house. It's close to everything.
