Late Summer and Fall availability : Soundside MP 6.5~ Cleaning & Linens Included

If you are looking for an amazing place to stay, this is the home for you. The house was built in 2012: 3 BR, 2 Bath , and outdoor shower. The cottage is located on the Sound side of Kill Devil Hill (Milepost 6.5). The master bedroom has a queen size bed and the two guest rooms contain full size bunk beds (Full Over Full). Our house is a 3 minute walk from the sound and a 10-15 minute bike ride/walk from the beach – Adult beach cruisers are also included to enjoy a sunset cruise. We offer highspeed Wi-Fi internet and streaming Tv to enjoy during your stay. We are located in the heart of Kill Devil Hills near several restaurants, a shopping mall, a movie theater and several grocery stores. There is a Putt-Putt course and go karts about 2 miles away and an outlet mall 15 miles from our home.

The cottage is within walking/biking distance to the sound, walking/biking trails, beach, fishing pier, shopping and restaurants.

OBX Getaway

Very nicely appointed light filled vacation home minutes from the wonderful multi-use path along the sound. Having bikes and beach chairs available a real bonus. Wish there had been more outdoor deck space.

Relaxing Weekend

The house was nice and clean. Enjoyed riding the bikes by the sound, just had to find 3 in working condition. Convenient location.

Great house!

We loved our stay in this beautiful home. It was clean and lovely. It had plenty of seating, as well as towels and linens. The owner was very easy to work with and responded to all of my questions. Check-in was a breeze. We also loved the area and highly recommend the Mahi-mahi restaurant! Thanks for a great experience!

Great House!

Home was even better then expected! Very well furnished. Beds were comfortable and home was very clean!. Location was great being right in the middle of town. However this was more of a redidential area then we were used to so we had to be aware of the neighbors stopping by to check on us. Overall it was a great week and we would stay here again!

Something for everyone

This property Is situated in a quiet neighborhood less than 1 mile from beach access and just as close to the Colington Creek and Kitty Hawk Bay fishing areas. Lots of recreational equipment in the storage room including bikes and yard games as well as fishing gear. We spent our days on the beach and evenings on the large comfortable deck at the house. Already planning our next trip here!

Perfect spot in the OBX!

My friends and I love staying in this house when we visit the OBX! It is in the perfect spot to visit all the popular bars and restaurants in Kill Devil Hills and not too far to venture out to either Duck/Corolla or the opposite way to Hatteras for the day. There is a public ocean beach access about a mile away and a beautiful walking/bicycling trail right down the street along the sound. This house is very well kept and clean with nice furniture and the owner was wonderful and accommodating to work with. We will definitely be checking the availability of this house when planning our next visit to OBX!

New appreciation for Soundside!

I have always stayed on the oceanside, but the sound side has a lot to offer including this great cottage! Not to mention the sunset only a few minutes away. Just grab a drink and wander over! My fiancé and I stayed here after Labor Day and found the house to be very updated, not lacking anything we needed and a true get away. We enjoyed the deck for afternoon drinks and the quick drive to the beach for sun and fun.

Great Getaway!

We planned a last minute getaway and quickly found this home available. There are no complaints. Check in was super easy. The home was very clean and really nicely decorated and updated. We did not cook while we were there but the kitchen did have everything needed for cooking or grilling. Like I said - zero complaints. The owner was quick to respond with a couple questions and even offered a few restaurant suggestions.

It was wonderful not fancy or boring I felt right at home like a place I had hidden away

I highly recommend this place it might not be a street away from the beach But it felt like Home and close enough to things that were important and to Great Restaurants,things to do and just great overall Thank You Mr Ryan Creegan for the Great upkeep of this home and for responding to our questions as fast as You did!!!! Incredible rental for the price

I rented this home for a week this past June and I was extremely impressed. The house is brand new, and gorgeous inside and out. Everything was spotless upon arrival, the neighbors are friendly, and the week was an overall 10/10. It's a short walk to the sound for great sunsets, and the beach access is right across the roadway. It's located on a great milepost with shopping and restaurants all close by and tons to do. My experience there was nothing short of great and I will definitely be attending again this summer. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a beautiful yet affordable spot to stay in the heart of Kill Devil Hills!

Great Place

We went down for Spring break for four days. I'm always scared when renting online. This place was by far was the best place I have ever rented. It was very clean and I felt like I was at home. It has everything you need down to beach chairs. The bikes were a huge hit for the kids. They have a bike trail that they loved. The owner was awesome. Very quick to respond if you need anything. Very personable which is very hard to find these days. You will not be sorry if you choose this place.

Thanksgiving get away

My family and I truly enjoyed our stay at this very nice and cozy home. We brought everything we needed to prepare our thanksgiving meal but didn’t have to because the home was fully equipped with EVERYTHING you would possibly need. The home is updated and very well maintained. We had one issue with the internet not working properly but Ryan responded in seconds and the problem was resolved in less than five minutes. There were plenty of board games and video games to keep us busy. We truly look forward to booking this location again in the future. Thank you Creegan family for allowing my family to stay at your property.

Super Week

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to OBX and our stay at your lovely beach house. Location was convenient for everything from shopping to entertainment to great restaurants. House was in perfect order and it was obvious you take a great deal of pride in its appearance. All the ‘extras’ provided - linens, bath towels, even beach towels, were a big plus, along with your well-stocked kitchen, with all the cookware, utensils, etc, right at our fingertips. Having the use of the bikes you graciously shared made getting around so much more convenient. We had a great week! Thanks again. Sandy & Charlie Patton

Great location, beautiful house, awesome Host

We visited for a long weekend to catch the last little bit of sun we could before the winter. Ryan’s house is fully stocked with all of the utensils you need to make a great dinner including a grill that is super clean.. He was easy to contact for any issues and even offered to let us have a late check out on the last day, which was awesome because it 80+ and the previous few days were chilly. We throughly enjoyed this rental snd Ryan has easily been the best host we’ve had in the OBX. Only down side is sometimes the internet wouldn’t work but a simple reset of the router and you were good to go. We look forward to renting this house again in the future. Thanks Ryan!

Great vacation!

My family of 5 stayed in this Kill Devil Hills house for 3 weeks. We loved it! the house is located right around the Blk from the sound which is gorgeous and a 2 min drive to the beach- we always had parking. The house is clean and was roomy enough for our family with 3 kids. The house is right by Publix for food shopping, great restaurants, and very centrally located. The area seems to be more for local OBXers more so than Nags Head but we really enjoyed it. The owner provides bikes, chairs, and pretty much every necessity. The owner made a long drive to the house when we first arrive to replace the tv that was broken. He was always very responsive, went above and beyond and even provided a list of great restaurants that he recommended. We loved the vaca and highly recommend this property!

End of summer getaway

Ryan was very easy to work with and responsive. The property is newer, so it has that going for it. It is also a block away from the bike path along the sound (we utilized the bikes that are provided every day we were there, which was nice) and a couple minutes drive to the public beach access. The neighborhood is a little spotty, though, with some houses being maintained and some...not. The property is tidy, but would not be up to my level of clean. Several of the windowsills had a buildup of dead mosquitos, that I may not have noticed if it weren’t for my one year old who is at eye level with them and constantly looking out of them while we were in the house. There is also an abundance of roach motels, which having lived at the beach, I understand the need for some kind of preventative or service. But we did see 2 while we were there...one dead by the door right as we entered and one crawling along the ceiling in one of the bunk rooms one morning. The beds, like most hotels and/or rentals, weren’t very comfortable, but they weren’t the worst I’ve slept on either. I did appreciate the fact that the master had drop down black out shades (something you never find in rentals) and the closet was big enough to put a pack and play. Overall, it was a decent rental and for the price and the location, it was as expected.

Get away

The house was clean and as listed. Everything we needed in the kitchen as far as pits and pans. Loads of towels etc.

Good place to stay

It’s very nice place to stay for vacation with families. House is much nicer than pictures and have enough room for our 10 people group. Stocked kitchen supplies and towels and everything. Very close to beach and have no problem to find parking. We had great time staying in this house.

Fantastic vacation

The location of the property was great a short trip to beach and the sound side. The house itself was great and had a lot of things that was nice not to have to buy that were available for use. The neighborhood was great and people were friendly. I would absolutely recommend this rental for anyone who is looking for a place to relax and escape!
