On The Mapp #1 is ready for your next OBX vacation! This bright and beachy cottage is conveniently located in the heart of OBX on the soundside at milepost 6 in Kill Devil Hills. Cottage is 3 bedrooms (plus a queen sleeper sofa in livingroom ) & 2 bathrooms and located three streets away from beach access with parking! Minutes away from the sound, multi-use trail that runs along Bay Drive, and public gazebo dock that's perfect for watching sunsets. Cottage is in pristine condition.

Please know we take great pride in our beach cottage and maintaining its excellent condition. We personally inspect and clean cottage after each guest departure.

Fabulous!

Everything was perfect. The place was very clean, kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals, comfortable beds, quiet neighborhood, internet worked fine. Great communication from hosts. Will definitely be back!

Expectations Met.

The Mapp's do not disappoint. It's obvious they care about the upkeep and appearance of their property and making you feel welcomed and at home. Property is clean, spacious, updated and comfortable on all accounts. Street is very quiet.

Great location and lovely home

Our family stayed here for Labor Day weekend and we had an amazing time! Everything was clean and working perfectly. The beach chairs and umbrella in the storage area definitely came in handy. If we find ourselves in the area again, we will be sure to return.

Excellent Home

We had a great time! The home was the perfect size with everything and beyond that we needed. Included was plenty of information about the area and convenient items for the beach. Located a walk to the beach or the sound and near many places to eat, shop and site see. The neighborhood was quiet and very family friendly. The hosts were so accommodating and replied almost instantly when we had a question. We would definitely stay here again. OBX was amazing!

Whirlwind Wedding Weekend

The place is amazing. Super clean and super spacious. Thing only thing we didn't like was that we couldn't stay longer! You are centrally located to so much. The owners are very responsive when asked questions and are very knowledgeable about the area. Really hoping to come back in the years to come.

This property was perfect size for 4 of us. Kitchen was spacious & equipped with all you’d need. Bedrooms are more than big enough. Will definitely be back again.

Another perfect trip in OBX!

My husband, sister-in-law and her husband and I stayed for the week. The first time I stayed at this rental, it was with my son. Both times were wonderful. The owners take very nice care and f this rental and we greatly appreciated getting in a little early after our long drive from Pittsburgh to get there. The house’s location is perfect for day trips to the beach and to access great restaurants! Thank you…we’ll be back for many years to come!

Beach get away

Beach house was very clean and comfy!! The owners were kind enough to let us get in early, since everything was cleaned. Close to stores and house had everything we needed for a weekend stay.

Great place!

The property was in a great location between the beach and the sound and we loved having bikes and beach chairs to use during our stay. The only odd thing was having to put (provided) sheets on the beds ourselves when we got there. Not a deal breaker, just something we hadn’t encountered at a rental before.

Birthday weekend

This house was amazing. Perfect for our group. The house and neighborhood was beautiful and our teens really enjoyed the riding the bikes to the sound and seeing the sunset . We loved having the decks to sit out on as well. The location was perfect for us. Close to everything including the Avalon Pier and a huge Target. Great weekend !

Everything just right!

We enjoyed staying at this beautiful property, a few minutes away from the beach with our grandkids. We appreciated that the owners quickly responded to our questions ahead of our arrival. The property was very clean, and well equipped with everything we needed.

Fantastic place to stay in Kill Devil Hills!

My adult son and I took our first trip to the Outer Banks and selected this property to stay at versus picking a hotel. We absolutely loved the home, which was very clean, organized, has a fully stocked kitchen, two floors with decks and complimentary recreational items (I.e. cornhole, bikes, beach chairs, etc…). Also, access to the beach with lots of parking is less than a mile away! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and plan to return in the upcoming years… so fun! Also, we really appreciated the book with suggestions on what’re to eat, visit and enjoy ice cream. Thank you!

We loved our stay!

This home was perfectly located in Kill Devil Hills, just a short commute to Nags Head where our other family members had booked a home. We were bummed we couldn't stay with everyone else at first- until we found this amazingly clean and welcoming home. It is exactly like the photos posted. The hosts were very responsive with answers to our questions as well. If we ever make it back to the OBX, we know where we are staying!
