This waterfront house has a breathtaking view of the sound as it sits high on a dune overlooking the sound. Just relax on the private pier. The sunsets are fabulous!
The house has 3 bedrooms and / 2 baths with a total 3 queen beds and 1 twin bed. Dining table sits 8, plus 2 bar stools. It's located in the private gated community with a huge community soundfront pool, beach, marina with a boat launch and a covered picnic area!
Go for a kayak paddle and explore the wildlife in and around the sound. Fishing is great off your own private pier as well as crabbing. Two kayaks are provided.

Great experience

My family had a wonderful week. We caught many different fish from the dock at the home. Sunsets are absolutely gorgeous. Great communication with owner making the checking in process easy. We are already planning our next visit.

Beautiful home

We had a fabulous vacation at this beautiful house! The fishing was great the views were amazing and Z was an attentive host. We had an issue with the television and he responded almost immediately and then followed up the next day to make sure that we were all set.

eview This quaint little cottage is the perfect getaway! Tucked away on the sound, you have this amazing view of sunsets, a hammock to sway gently with the breeze, and a dock to fish from, jump in a kayak, swim in the sound, or bring your boat and have it docked right there! When we go on vacation, we rarely spend time indoors. Well, this cottage has a fully stocked kitchen with all the utensils and cooking essentials you’ll need. A comfy living room, bedrooms and bonus, a sunroom so you can still enjoy the view while you stay out of the rain. There were five of us, 4 young adults who felt the location was perfect, had a great time, and asked why we never stayed there before. And I am the older adult who snoozed in the hammock and enjoy a relaxing day on the dock, reading a book. We spent one day at the ocean, and the remainder here. One bonus was the privacy, not fighting for space on the beach, yet still enjoying the water views. The host is very kind and responsive. We had a few questions and the host was on top of them. The host provides so many extras to the guests that all you need to bring, are your clothes. A and 5 stars all around. We will be staying again as my family has already asked when we are booking next year! Thank you for such a wonderfully delightful stay and making our vacation perfect!

Great house and location!

We’ve been to OBX many times, but never stayed sound side before. The kids (all teens) had a blast jumping off the dock and swimming in the sound and we were a short drive from the beach. The house had everything we needed and we enjoyed kayaking and fishing from our backyard. The owner was easy to reach when needed. Would definitely stay here again.

Amazing view

Nestled in a quiet neighborhood, the house is very cozy and we absolutely enjoyed the sound view and the awesome daily sunsets. The dock is a major plus for fishing and crabbing! The house is well-stocked with necessities and we are grateful for the (extra) beach chairs. We enjoyed our week-long vacation in OBX!

Home away from home

The views from the house of the sunset and the sound are gorgeous! The rooms were spacious and had all the basic needs of a home! Also a great community pool to walk too! The owners were great at communicating! We enjoyed are stay!

Great property, beautiful views!

We had a blast at this property. There was so much to do. We fished from the private dock, kayaked, and swam in the sound all from the dock. We also visited the community pool a couple days during our stay. The staff was very nice, pool was pristine and there were plenty of chairs and tables with umbrellas. There’s just a short drive to almost anything that Kill Devil Hills has to offer. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay here again in the future.

Perfect vacation rental

Outstanding experience. Perfect place to relax. Directly on the shore to the Sound with a stunning view on water. Very Clean and fully equiped in every aspect - toys for the beach, canoes, fishing rods, complete cooking tools ... The landlord was very friendly. I would definitely chose the house again.

Very clean and accommodating

This is the 2nd time renting this property and plan to rent again. Great location on water. House was clean making it more appealing for return visits.

Beautiful, Peaceful Soundfront Location

Easy process to reserve , great communication with host. Very clean, well equipped kitchen, quiet location. Loved the kayaks and the sunsets were amazing. Thanks for a great vacation 😊

A great location for a vacation

We really enjoyed this house. The view of the sound is outstanding, and it was very enjoyable to take the kayaks out and go into the nearby canals. This property is excellent for a family wanting to relax and visit the surrounding areas. Very enjoyable stay.

Nice place

It was a nice place and I would rent it again. Weather was not great but u can’t control that. I would recommend it to any of my friends. Plus weather might have been bad but if u could tough it out the fishing was great.

Great weekend getaway

Very clean, quiet and comfortable house to get away for the weekend. Caught crabs off the dock, went to the beach just minutes away and had a nice selection of restaurants in the area.

Nice place on the Sound

My family and I enjoyed our time at the house. It was clean, and the view from the sunroom was beautiful. It had all the kitchen gadgets we needed to make dinners when we ate in. I think the exterior, especially the backyard could use some TLC. The fishing was alright, we mostly caught crabs and our lines got stuck and had to be cut and we ended up catching other people's lines who had the same issue. If you have small children, the sound/playground area around the pool was a great alternative to the beach where the waves knock them over and you dont have to worry about them getting swept away. The house is about a 15 minute drive to beach access. Another thing to note is the driveway is a long narrow spot so cars have to line up behind each other so we're playing musical cars multiple times depending on who needs to leave the house first. Overall, it's a nice place in a pretty quiet neighborhood.

Exceeded our expectations!

I can not praise this place enough! The views, the private dock, the layout of the house, the neighborhood, the community pool/beach area...it was all perfect for us. There were 6 in my group age 3-60 and it was plenty of space for us all. We fished off the private dock. We enjoyed watching sunsets and storms through the lovely sunroom. Already planning to come back next year!

Most Beautiful Sunsets!

We had a wonderful time staying here! Excellent communication throughout the entire rental process. I loved viewing God’s beautiful Sunset creation every night! My family enjoyed fishing and crabbing on the private dock!
