Beautiful and unique cabin on the shores of Lake Superior

Modern and unique, Moose Hollow is located on a quiet stretch of Lake Superior’s breathtaking shore just minutes away from “America’s Coolest Small Town” and the historic Gunflint Trail. Watch the sun rise over the lake, go rock hunting along the sandy beach, relax on the spacious patio, hike to a nearby waterfall, star gaze….all within minutes of some of the best hiking, fishing, canoeing, art galleries, live music, and restaurants the North Shore has to offer.

The wonderful cabin features a spacious and fully equipped kitchen, eating area, living room with a one-of-a-kind rock fireplace, sitting room, two large bedrooms, a large tub, walk-in shower, outdoor fire pit, and patio. There is also an charcoal grill so remember your charcoal :). This property is strictly an animal-free zone due to severe allergies.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS ONLY SPACE FOR TWO CARS TOTAL. THERE IS NO SPACE FOR ANY SORT OF TRAILER, CAMPER/RV, ETC. AND THEY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED. THANK YOU!

Beautiful home & location!

The fire pit is awesome and we enjoyed it both nights that we were there. Enjoyed walking up and down the shoreline, discovered the lower falls of the Fall River. Loved the inside of the home.

A serene oasis

We loved every minute of our stay (4 nights). The house is so beautiful, right on the lake. We loved having breakfast and dinner on the picnic table on the shore of the lake. We actually did not have enough time to fully take advantage of all the quiet nooks of the house. The place totally surpassed our expectations and we hope we can come back! Thank you for sharing your home.

Relax and unwind

This was the perfect place to relax. Close to town with all the amenities needed for a long weekend. The house was clean and modern. It was an absolute treat to be able to relax here.

Great homemade for north shore exploring

My family rented Moose Hollow for a few nights on our first trip to Grand Marais. Excellent location with easy access to parks and town. We loved being on the lake and enjoying the rock beach and fire pit. Great arrangement for our family of four. Very comfortable and welcoming!

Great Spot!

We had a great time at the cabin! Close enough to Grand Marais that it was easy to run into town to grab donuts and coffee, but bring them back to the cabin to enjoy the privacy. There is a great waterfall a short walk down the beach, and the sound of the waves crashing on the beach made for a great sleeping soundtrack.

just wonderful

This was our second time staying here, and it was just as great as we remembered. Property is comfortable, clean, and just beautifully located. We loved every minute of our stay! And the kitchen is well-stocked: we were delighted to find a steamer basket while making dinner one night! We will return!

Great location, perfect cabin

We had a wonderful time at this cabin, it was clean, the perfect size and had everything we needed for our group of 4. We spent 4 days hiking waterfalls nearby and loved the proximity of the cabin to grand Marais (perfect for early morning coffee runs to the Java moose). We had no bugs and loved having bonfires every night and taking the short walk down the beach to the waterfall. Overall we had a great time and can't wait to go back.

Pure relaxation

4th time staying here with my family. It has become a favorite family tradition. The shoreline views are the best. Beds are comfortable and the kitchen is very well stocked. Bathrooms are nice, they supply towels, toiletries and shampoo. Great place!!!!

Great setting, wonderful space

Very nicely finished interior, spacious bedrooms. Kitchen decor very nice, most basics present. Only 1 shower, but it's workable for how many the house fits. Outdoor setting is wonderful. Nice fire area, nice patio area, and a really short walk to a very inviting beach. Little disappointing to not have any charcoal provided nor any wood set out for the fire area. Overall, I'd stay again without hesitation.

Perfect shorefront home on Lake Superior

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this gorgeous home on a semi private pebble beach. The house was clean and in wonderful condition. We loved the upstairs bedroom overlooking the lake. Linda was very quick on communication and answering any questions we had. The pictures don't do the house and yard justice. Highly recommend!

Relaxing!

very quiet property on roads end, state land beyond, which made it even better. very scenic private shoreline with pebbles to explore. super cabin layout with private baths for two parties if needed, which worked great for us. clean when we arrived and easy to keep that way. the lake sounds and views are cherished. hope to come back. thanks for sharing

Back to the Nature

Upbeat place. Much beauty inside and outdoors. Works great for two couples. Great place to return to after a long physical day. Appreciated no TV in main living area; it would have spoiled the vibe. Modern and very clean. Completed each day surrounding the firepit followed by a classic Hitchcock movie.

Perfect!

Moose Hollow is a wonderful home with gorgeous views of Lake Superior. The home had everything we needed. It has space for everyone to gather and for people to have privacy. The outdoor space is wonderful! The patio is perfect for morning coffee as well as the picnic table down by the shore. We enjoyed a fire in the fire pit every night. Linda is great to work with! We look forward to booking Moose Hollow again.

Beautiful cabin nestled on the shores of Lake Superior

We loved the Moose Hollow Cabin and it had everything possible to offer to make our stay great with the exception of the beds in the two bedrooms. We are tall people and would have appreciated a softer higher larger mattress such as two king mattresses to provide a more restful night sleep. The bedrooms were large and beautiful and we just needed more comfortable and larger beds and our stay would have been for sure 5 stars! it seems when are paying top dollars for a lovely cabin on Lake Superior it is important that the beds be large enough and comfortable for the guests. Everything else about the cabin was great. We loved that it was close to the water, had great views, beautiful windows and loved the outside picnic table and firepit. We will for sure go back for another stay however we are hoping the owners will invest in some very comfortable larger mattresses and comfy pillows! the other problem was the noise heard from downstairs bedroom from upstairs bedroom when people walked up there due to hardwood floors and not insulated enough for the noise. Otherwise it was a perfect get-a-away and great place!
