Modern and unique, Moose Hollow is located on a quiet stretch of Lake Superior’s breathtaking shore just minutes away from “America’s Coolest Small Town” and the historic Gunflint Trail. Watch the sun rise over the lake, go rock hunting along the sandy beach, relax on the spacious patio, hike to a nearby waterfall, star gaze….all within minutes of some of the best hiking, fishing, canoeing, art galleries, live music, and restaurants the North Shore has to offer.

The wonderful cabin features a spacious and fully equipped kitchen, eating area, living room with a one-of-a-kind rock fireplace, sitting room, two large bedrooms, a large tub, walk-in shower, outdoor fire pit, and patio. There is also an charcoal grill so remember your charcoal :). This property is strictly an animal-free zone due to severe allergies.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS ONLY SPACE FOR TWO CARS TOTAL. THERE IS NO SPACE FOR ANY SORT OF TRAILER, CAMPER/RV, ETC. AND THEY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED. THANK YOU!

A serene oasis

We loved every minute of our stay (4 nights). The house is so beautiful, right on the lake. We loved having breakfast and dinner on the picnic table on the shore of the lake. We actually did not have enough time to fully take advantage of all the quiet nooks of the house. The place totally surpassed our expectations and we hope we can come back! Thank you for sharing your home.

Great setting, wonderful space

Very nicely finished interior, spacious bedrooms. Kitchen decor very nice, most basics present. Only 1 shower, but it's workable for how many the house fits. Outdoor setting is wonderful. Nice fire area, nice patio area, and a really short walk to a very inviting beach. Little disappointing to not have any charcoal provided nor any wood set out for the fire area. Overall, I'd stay again without hesitation.

Happy 85th!

We celebrated my father's 85th Birthday along the shores of lake superior. Great food, sight seeing and nature walks on the north shore. Moose Hollow was devine :)

just wonderful

This was our second time staying here, and it was just as great as we remembered. Property is comfortable, clean, and just beautifully located. We loved every minute of our stay! And the kitchen is well-stocked: we were delighted to find a steamer basket while making dinner one night! We will return!

Great homemade for north shore exploring

My family rented Moose Hollow for a few nights on our first trip to Grand Marais. Excellent location with easy access to parks and town. We loved being on the lake and enjoying the rock beach and fire pit. Great arrangement for our family of four. Very comfortable and welcoming!

Relax and unwind

This was the perfect place to relax. Close to town with all the amenities needed for a long weekend. The house was clean and modern. It was an absolute treat to be able to relax here.

We Loved Moose Hollow

Quiet, relaxing cabin

We loved staying at this cabin directly on the shores of Lake Superior. It was so wonderful to leave the windows open at night and hear the waves. Sunrises were beautiful. This place is very clean and has great bedding/towels. We were so happy to have chosen this over a hotel.

So lovely!

This home was absolutely perfect for our family! We loved the access to the lake just outside, and everything was just really lovely about this home. Location is great, close to Grand Marais and all of the hiking we wanted to do. Absolutely quiet and peaceful setting. Home was super clean, beds were comfortable, had everything we needed. We can't wait to return!

Very relaxing

The place was in a perfect spot on the end of the road. We enjoyed the secluded beach and fire pit. The many games available were a nice touch to keep the kids unplugged even though it rained one of the days we stayed!

Peaceful retreat

If you are looking for a private cabin, directly on the lake, this property will not disappoint! The kitchen is fully stocked, we were able to save money by stopping by in Grand Marais (just a couple miles away) and picking up groceries to cook brunch. Inside and out the view is spectacular! I especially enjoyed the sound of the waves as I drifted off to sleep. My only disappointment was that I was not able to enjoy a hot soak in the jet tub, the water heater was not large enough to accommodate it. We did appreciate the furnishings, everything was very thoughtfully placed.
