We loved our stay at this property. It had everything we needed for a lovely holiday including 3 sweet dogs. The home is very comfortable and well provisioned. The location is excellent with shops, groceries, bus and train all very close.

The house was excellent!! Easy bussing into Edinburgh and a food store near!! Kitchen facilities were wonderful!! Irene, the host, was very nice and helpful. The television was a little rough, but I guess that’s to be expected. Overall, I would definitely stay there again!!

We had a wonderful stay in Esbank, Scotland. The property was comfortable, welcoming, and had everything we needed for a relaxing visit. Our hostess was especially lovely and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed and sharing helpful recommendations. The location was a great home base for exploring the area. We really enjoyed our time here and would happily stay again!

Beautiful place to stay but need vehicle to get around. Bus located right out front but 35 min ride into Edinburgh. Otherwise, great place.

Nice appartement with a large living-kitchen. Ideally located for a trip to Edinburgh; a 45 minutes ride with the bus that stops nearly in front of the appartement. Two supermarkets nearby (one 500m walk, the other 5 minutes drive). Parking on private ground in front of the appartement. And a very large and nice garden at the back op the house.Roselyn Chapel, worth a visit, is closeby with car. And a 45 minutes ride away is Jupiter Artland. A sculpture garden on a estate. We spent a whole day wandering around and had a delightful lunch. A day tour to the coast (North Berwick, St. Abbs) is also worth the effort.

Very welcoming and decorated for Christmas which was a lovely touch. Amenities were great and for me the location was perfect. I enjoyed being able to host my family and friends. Irene & Ewan were very welcoming and supportive hosts and I highly recommend.

Fantastic place to stay

My wife and I and our 3 older kids loved staying here. The place is very nice and the 3 separate showers were really helpful. It’s close to a bus stop that we used to head into Edinburgh each day. We would absolutely stay here again.

This apartment was as advertised; spacious and well located in a suburb of Edinburgh. The hosts are generally busy with a b&b in the main part of the building, but were helpful when we needed it and interesting to talk to. And they have a couple of lovely dogs on the property.

Convenient Location

We enjoyed our stay at the Dalkeith, Eskbank, UK Vacation Rental. It was conveniently located to shopping, transportation, and Edinburgh. It was easy to get around and we weren't stuck in the busy center of Edinburgh.

Fantastic place to stay

The home was perfect for our group of 5. The kitchen had everything we needed, the bedrooms a great size for all our things, and the location was great for getting around. Irene and Ewan were wonderful hosts and provided all the information we needed to navigate our way around Edinburg and the area. We’d definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone wanting a perfect place to stay while in the Edinburg area!

Trip for a surprise Family members 60th Birthday.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at these premises..it was well situated for all our needs...easy access to Edinburgh and surrounding areas..the house and garden we're beautiful and the Host was lovely and had everything in place for our arrival..Will mist definitely stay here again

Stunning house and grounds

We had a lovely stay in this spacious comfortable cottage. Our hosts were lovely and accommodating. Great selective bins and composting very good for the environment. Thank you and would love to come back soon.

Christmas in Edinburgh

Our family of 5 adults had a lovely stay at the Rathan house…it’s so quaint with a pretty view of the garden from the living room which we enjoyed every morning with our coffee…the place comes completely prepared and organized and clean…the bus stop for Edinburgh is conveniently located right outside …we would definitely stay here again! Thank you for a great stay!

Truly delightful!

What a great place for our family! Beautiful garden (complete with 2 sweet dogs) that offered a very pleasant respite after a day of sightseeing. The accommodations were perfect with ample space and comfort. The location was ideal for bus service to the city center, Rosslyn Chapel, and the beach. And, a good grocery with easy walking distance. Nice clean property close to Edinburgh

Had a great stay at Eskbank - very clean property that has an amazing kitchen for cooking. The property is very close to the town of Dalkeith, which has great food options and many great places to walk a dog. The house is within steps of a bus stop that will take you into the city center relatively quickly. The hosts were wonderful at offering ideas on places to sight see. Highly recommended if you want to stay a bit outside of the city.
