Tropical breezes, ocean view and sunny white sand beaches make this an ideal vacation rental house. It is furnished in a traditional island style with a fully equipped kitchen. Upstairs is a large ocean-facing master suite with a California King, an adjoining sun-room with two twin beds and a deck with a 180-degree view towards the ocean. Downstairs are two additional bedrooms each with a queen bed and its own bathroom. The kitchen, dining room and central family room offer plenty of space, sunlight and comfort for all.
Centrally located in the quaint 19th century plantation town of Kapaa on the east shore of Kauai, you will find a variety of activities. A beach protected by a barrier reef is within walking distance. This uncrowded beach is called Baby Beach by the locals because of the gentle surf and safety afforded to smaller children. Other beaches of Kapaa offer windsurfing and kite surfing or enjoy the many surfing spots on the east shore of Kauai.
Also, explore Hawaii's amazing sea life by snorkeling and scuba diving or enjoy fishing. Hike the trails of Nounou (the Sleeping Giant), a Forest Reserve that rewards your effort with views of the entire island. Paddle a kayak up Kauai's Wailua River, one of Hawaii's few navigable rivers and explore the famous Fern Grotto, Secret Falls and the canyons of the Wailua River interior. Loved everything about this house and trip overall. The property had all the necessities- beach chairs, umbrella, snorkel gear, and outdoor shower to rinse off the sand. We walked on the bike trail and watched the sun rise each morning and sat on the porch every night. The house is conveniently located right outside downtown Kapaa with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Perfect.

This property could use a little updating, but was still very comfortable and we loved having all the room to hang out together as a family! I wish we could see the ocean from the front porch.. it was so nice out there! The beach wasn’t that great so we didn’t go there much.. just took a few walks in the mornings. However, it was very conveniently located so I would absolutely recommend this Vrbo! There is so much to do! Thank you for the stay!

Excellent House For Family Vacation
The house i very comfortably set up, with bathrooms next to each bedroom, a comfortable living room with TV, an efficient kitchen, a porch with table and chairs and a view of a spacious yard with several palm trees. We thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay.,

Good location
Enjoyed the location, easy access to shops and restaurants and beaches. Enjoyed our morning walks on Fiji beach.
Kitchen was well stocked, beds were comfortable. Would stay there again

Perfect location
We had a great time. The VRBO fit all 9 of us comfortably. Centrally located, short walk to watch the sunrise. GREAT PLACE!!!

Fabulous Location
We loved the central location! It made it so much easier to do activities all over the island. Grocery store right around the corner! Quiet neighborhood! A little warm without air conditioning but lots of fans and the breeze from the ocean made the nights comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

Kapa'a Rental - great beach house!

We loved our stay at this Kapa'a, Kauai house. This is a true beach house and not a new, modern place. But we loved the ocean breezes that kept the house cool, the well-stocked kitchen, and the lovely, deep front porch. The layout worked for us and each bedroom had its own bathroom. We were provided with beach chairs, an umbrella, and towels, as well as snorkeling equipment. The house is only about 7 miles from the airport and near the old town of Kapa'a so there were lots of shops, coffee spots, and restaurants/food trucks close by. There is also a nice walking/running path along the coast that is quickly accessible. I would rent this house again in a second. (The rental is handled by an agency and communication is not through the VRBO app once you book. This caused us some confusion initially.)

Excellent location and house
All positives to our vacation rental, no negatives!!! We would easily choose this house again! Beds were great, we were able to keep upstairs bedroom sliding door open so we could listen to the waves at night.

Great location with room to spread out!
Very comfortable house! Has one of the best equipped kitchens we've found in a vacation rental. Our group of 4 (my husband and I + our 2 twenty-something kids) found the location very convenient to explore the island or walk to town along the coast. Fabulous porch and spacious front yard provided lots of room for relaxing.

Perfect!
We stayed in this house with our son, daughter in law and granddaughters. Being on the bike trail we rented bikes for the week. Absolutely amazing.

The house was in the perfect location for island adventuring. It was a bit warm during the day inside but the porch offered a continuous breeze and was our go to spot when relaxing. The beach and walking trail were a stone’s throw away. Lots of family memories made! Now having withdrawals from Wailau Shave Ice....the BEST!

The vacation house was wonderful - plenty of space, having 3bd/3ba was amazing, and the kitchen was fully stocked. Thank you for providing so many amenities - laundry detergent, plenty of dishes / pots and pans, snorkels, towels, beach chairs. Felt fully fully on vacation w/o having to worry about any amenities. Highly recommend!
