Rest, Relax and Renew. Our log cabin experience awaits your arrival.

The Goddard Place is located 5 miles East of Anna off of Route 146. We only have one cabin. It is close to Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, the Southern Illinois Wine Trail and the Shawnee National Forest. Your cabin features a living area with a sleeper sofa (for the young ones in the family), a recliner, a 32' flat screen television with DirecTV and a DVD player. The kitchenette includes a small refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, dishes, glassware and silverware. The queen sleigh bed, jacuzzi tub and lavatory complete the room. There is a shower and plenty of towels are provided. All you need to bring is your provisions!!

Honeymoon

Could not have picked a better location for our honeymoon. The host was so very sweet! The place was well stocked and clean! Perfect size for our needs and the view was phenomenal! If I could give 10 stars I would!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

Peaceful & Relaxing

Conveniently located, easy to find and private. The surroundings were beautiful! The hosts were very responsive, and the cabin had everything we needed and was nicely decorated. We slept very comfortably-a nice stay here!

Country Cabin

Clean and cozy with a beautiful view. The whole process was very simple. Location is great, just a short drive to some great wineries and small towns.

Enjoyable!

I enjoyed this cabin very much. Comfortable bed, gorgeous views, very clean. Convenient to all of the wineries we wanted to visit. Had a little bit of trouble with the heater/air conditioning and making it cooler in the cabin but other than that I enjoyed this cabin very much and would stay again.

Cozy Cabin near Anna

The cabin was a nice place for my husband and I to rest and relax. We really enjoyed having our morning coffee on the back deck that overlooks a pond. There were lots of interesting birds to see and hear, including a pair of eagles. The bed was firm, and the hot water plentiful. I recommend a visit to Giant City State Park, because it has pretty trails and a wonderful lodge with great food. The Brick House Grill also has fabulous food. We also really liked shopping Annabelle Market. I highly recommend a stay here!

Peace in the pines

Peaceful Stay

We arrived to a super clean, quaint cabin that was perfect for our getaway. Pretty setting, close to town but far enough away to feel like you’re in the country. Easy access to local parks/hiking and the Shawnee Wine Trail. Highly recommend.

We were intrigued by the beauty of the property from the large pond, abundant wildlife, lovely views and rural setting. This property was the first bed and breakfast in Union County. We are honored to continue the tradition of southern hospitality created by the previous owners. We have big shoes to fill. The bed was so comfortable. I can't tell you how I LOVE that Jacuzzi! Love the 'hope' chest at the foot of the bed with extra blankets & pillows. You had everything you need for the kitchen. Your towels were wonderful...and so many of them was super. We loved having the Weber grill to be able to use. All the chairs outside & inside were very comfortable! The entire decor of the cabin is wonderful. You have a truly charming cabin here. We are already talking about when we want to come back....

Your cabin is perfect & we caught a few nice Bass in your pond -one was 3.56 lbs. - We went to Giant City, Cache River, Ferne Clyffe, and Bald Knob Cross. We also hit Rustle Hill, Blue Sky and Von Jakob Wineries. The bread pudding at Blue Boar is great! Thanks for the recommendations of where to go! We had a great time!!
