Rest, Relax and Renew. Our log cabin experience awaits your arrival.

The Goddard Place is located 5 miles East of Anna off of Route 146. We only have one cabin. You will not be sharing the property with other renters. It is close to Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, the Southern Illinois Wine Trail, the City of Marion, and the Shawnee National Forest. Your cabin features a living area with a sleeper sofa (for the young ones in the family), a recliner, a 32' flat screen television with DirecTV and a DVD player. The kitchenette includes a small refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, dishes, glassware and silverware. The queen sleigh bed, jacuzzi tub and lavatory complete the room. There is a shower and plenty of towels are provided. All you need to bring is your provisions!!

Hosts were very accommodating making sure I had everything I needed. The cabin had nice views all around. Nice size pond right off the rear deck. I didn't try fishing only due to the warm temperatures I experienced outdoors. The inside of the cabin is fantastic! Absolutely spotless clean with very comfortable furniture & bed. The kitchen area had everything I needed. There is a nice Weber charcoal grill for outdoor cooking. I highly recommend a stay here if you seek a peaceful getaway. I am certain I will return.

Enjoyed our time here at The Goddard Place, Super Cute Cabin! Loved it! Only exception was figuring out the Wifi access, tried multiple times but unable to connect. Would book again, and spread the word on how lovely our stay was! Abundantly Pleased , Larry & Kathy Arends!

The cabin was wonderful! The property absolutely beautiful as well. Very clean. The bed is very firm, but that is my only complaint. Bring some fishing poles if you enjoy fishing, I wish we had as my son would have loved it.

Could not be happier about choosing a cabin in a beautiful location over a plain hotel in a busy area. It was so fun to have family visit us instead of us piling in on them. Everyone enjoyed seeing the cabin and walking around the pond. It is a lovely spot - butterflies and birds I hadn't heard before, the stars were so bright. The cabin has everything we needed and the owners were very kind any willing to help if we needed it. It was a great visit!

We were intrigued by the beauty of the property from the large pond, abundant wildlife, lovely views and rural setting. This property was the first bed and breakfast in Union County. We are honored to continue the tradition of southern hospitality created by the previous owners. We have big shoes to fill. The ability to share our knowledge and love for this area with guests is exciting. We look forward to meeting so many new friends along the way.

The bed was so comfortable. I can't tell you how I LOVE that Jacuzzi! Love the 'hope' chest at the foot of the bed with extra blankets & pillows. You had everything you need for the kitchen. Your towels were wonderful...and so many of them was super. We loved having the Weber grill to be able to use. All the chairs outside & inside were very comfortable! The entire decor of the cabin is wonderful. You have a truly charming cabin here. We are already talking about when we want to come back....

Your cabin is perfect & we caught a few nice Bass in your pond -one was 3.56 lbs. - We went to Giant City, Cache River, Ferne Clyffe, and Bald Knob Cross. We also hit Rustle Hill, Blue Sky and Von Jakob Wineries. The bread pudding at Blue Boar is great! Thanks for the recommendations of where to go! We had a great time!!
