A week in SSI.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay was good. Unit was clean and comfortable. The location is great. Good email and text communications on rental confirmations.One toilet handle had to be jiggled to keep it from running and bath soap would have been nice. Otherwise, no issues.Biggest challenge was TV in main room did not get any live network stations. Signed up for a free 10-day trial with YouTubeTV which worked.Pool area was hot. Bushes block the breeze and there was no shade.

The location of this property is superb - a very short walk to the central village and nearby beaches. The condo complex is gated and the very pleasant grounds are lush, mature, and well-maintained. The condo itself is warm, cozy, and comfortable - well furnished, but somewhat dated. The kitchen is very well equipped, but rather small with limited storage - workable for a couple. Overall, we had very pleasant stay.

The lock/handle of the sliding door in living area was broken. It could not be locked and was secured only with the piece of wood in the track. The television in the living room was not very usable. It lost its connection every time we tried to use it. We have stayed in other Harbour Oaks units several times in the past. This, by far, was the worst we have stayed in.

We appreciate you bringing the sliding door lock and TV connection issues to our attention. The sliding door was secured with the track bar for safety, but we understand your concern regarding the lock itself. We also regret the frustration with the television connection. Please know that we do have 24-hour guest service and maintenance staff available, and we would have been happy to assist during your stay had we been notified at the time. Our team works hard to address issues quickly so guests can fully enjoy their vacation experience. Very Comfortable Stay!!

Comfortable unit and well stocked. My wife, I, and Luca our dog enjoyed our stay. We would highly recommend this unit for anyone looking to stay near town and the pier.

We LOVE staying at Harbour Oaks!

Great location! Close to the beach, pier, Pier Village, dog park & pickleball courts, and other island amenities. This unit is clean and nicely decorated and furnished. We had everything we needed. Note that the AC is really loud. Other than that it is perfect for a family/group of up to 4 adults.

Great Location

This is the third time we have rented in Harbour Oaks. The location to the pier and beach can't be beat. The unit was very clean and comfortable and Emmons Realty responded quickly to our questions.

Perfect Location at Saint Simon's

We've used VRBO several times this year and have enjoyed all of our stays. This time, we needed some help from the rental company. They were excellent. The rental unit was all that we had expected. Loved the location, too.

Very close to the village, shops, and beach accesses. Gated which was very nice. Comfortable and homey. Would rent again. Would be nice to have waterhose at front of property for convenience for rinsing off sand as we always entered thru the front door. Was one at back of property. Pet friendly. Overall a wonderful stay. We visit St. Simon’s every year. Was worried as this was our first trip without an ocean view rental, but it was just as nice.

A comfortable stay

We are Canadians and spent a month on St. Simons Island. Our accommodations were quite nice, clean and accurate to the advertisement. It was quiet and easy for our dogs to enjoy some outdoor space. We ran out of many of the supplies. Since we were booked for a month I was surprised there wasn't more of the things we needed ( dishwasher soap, garbage bags, shampoo...) The broken patio chairs we reported were never replaced. Otherwise, everything was comfortable.

Annual end of summer family trip

We stayed in this unit this year for our annual end of summer family trip to SSI. It was very quiet (last week of summer before school starts around the state) and perfect for our needs. The complex is gated, it’s a short walk to downtown and centrally located to popular beaches. The property management company is exceptionally responsive and we appreciated that when we arrived to find a dead squirrel just off the back patio that was drawing a huge amount of flies. They removed it within an hour of our arrival. We enjoyed our stay at this unit and recommend for anyone looking for a pleasant stay on SSI!

Great stay, but

Could not find a “direct” tv remote for the tv in the living/family room, had to watch “live” sports in bedroom, downer. Found live cockroach in kitchen sink, suggests inadequate pest control services. All else, excellent.
