The property was in good shape, and was clean. The privacy and vicinity to the beach are far and away the best parts of the house.
The VRBO listing said that there was internet, but there wasn’t. Was not a big hang up for us, but if you’re going to be remote working from here, bring a mobile hotpot. There are games, dvds, and televisions in case bad weather rolls in, which was a lifesaver for us on a rainy day.
I would suggest the host add a bit more toilet paper as this location is billed as a large group spot.
Having to get an account with a real estate company on their website after booking through VRBO was a bit of an annoyance (a 21st century gripe, but valid when one considers the convenience one’s paying for).
You have to drive to the Reed Real Estate office to get the key code instead of just being given it via the app or email. If you can’t make it to the office in time they’ll leave it in a Dropbox - at the office. Kind of a bummer, but again, first world problems.
Kitchen has a ton of cookware and utensils which does come in handy when feeding 6 people; this was a wonderful feature as houses I’ve stayed in before have had the accoutrements of a cave.
The walk to the beach is about a block. There are only three public spaces to park, so hoof it if you can. A very doable distance if you plan ahead.
