One of the best ways to enjoy a unique Texas vacation is by cozying up in a cabin in the Hill Country.
The Hideout is on the same 20 acres as the Guesthaus at White Tail Oaks and Texas Star, but out of view range. This newly built cabin in the Texas, Hill Country is located about 15 minutes northwest of downtown Fredericksburg near the historic Cherry Springs community.
Guests will enjoy a spacious and open, private cabin with a King-sized bed, sitting area, and full kitchen. The fabulous outdoor hot tub or the romantic electric fireplace are favored and unique features. The outdoor shower is perfect for cooling off after a long summers day and provides a rare opportunity to be at one with nature. You will find a TV and DVD player but no cable reception...remember, this is why you headed to the country! Bring along some DVD's however and enjoy a lazy morning sleeping in.

We are repeat guest at this property. If you like a very tranquil and relaxing getaway, this is your place. Stargazing, rocking on the porch, listening, and watching various wildlife are just some of the highlights at this peaceful getaway.

Perfect getaway

Such a cute and clean Hill Country stay! The hot tub was amazing and perfect for relaxing. We loved the five friendly cats—they made it feel extra special. Everything we needed was nearby. No WiFi for streaming, but we actually enjoyed unplugging, and the DVD player with movies was a nice touch. Would definitely come back!

Our stay was wonderful, peaceful and exactly what we had hoped for. This cabin is now at the top of our list, and we hope to stay there again.

Bf and I just spent two nights at The Hideout and loved it so much we already booked our next stay! Heavenly quiet, very private, a perfect spot for a romantic getaway, but there's lots to see and do within easy driving distance.

Great Cabin & Getaway!

Cabin was just as advertised and it was a great getaway. Cabin was about 20 minutes northwest of Fredericksburg. Clean, comfortable and enjoyable.

Anniversary Getaway

Such a quaint place to get away from the busyness of life. We had a great time relaxing in the cabin, soaking in the hot tub in the evenings and drinking coffee in the rocking chairs in the mornings. Wonderful place to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary!

Perfect When Getaway Spot

The Hideaway is just that, a perfect private getaway spot! All that was missing was a couple of robes for to and from the hot tub… Hope the deer didn’t mind! We will be back!

Peaceful

We had a great stay. The cabin was just as advertised. Getting there and getting the keys was easy. Hot tub was just what we were looking for. It was cold and drizzly in Fredericksburg so we cut our shopping short and went back to the cabin early to relax, watch movies and cook dinner. Would come again just to stay and relax at the cabin.

Cat house

We arrived to our cabin and there were multiple cat bowls outside on the porch and 3 cats, I was not sure we were in the right place. I messaged asking about the cats and was told they live there, I let them know I was allergic but they didn't seem to think it was a problem. Nothing was said about cats in the listing. I was told they live there and to feed them if I want to. They never left the front patio which is where the hot tub was. We will not stay at this cabin again.

Perfect Getaway

We loved the scenic (but short!) drive to the cabin. It was so nice to get away from everything and just enjoy the peace and nature. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. The hot tub was amazing, and I was in love with the deep tub in the bathroom. It is a beautifully rustic cabin. There was some wildlife (we watched deer and racoons while we were in the hot tub), the birds were beautiful, and the local cats were sweet! This was our second time on the property (we were at the Casa Del Sol on our last trip). Again I will give a 10/10 with high recommendations for hospitality!

Loved everything!

Came to celebrate our anniversary and wanted a secluded/away from people/relaxing stay. This is exactly that. We are already figuring out when we can sneak away to come back. 20 minutes to drive into town and taste wines or eat, or pick up steaks and grill at the cabin! Highly recommend! Pack some movies and some games, download a music playlist ahead of time, and bring a book. We will be back!

The Hideout - White tail Oaks

Our only frustration was with the check in process. Owner/management is not willing to give out exact location details as well as gate AND door entry codes ( to get keys to gate padlock and cabin door ). I realize this is for security purposes, but the last minute cell phone email was frustrating to follow as cell service was spotty. Long story short we were helped by a patient housekeeper ( on the phone ) getting in. The place is charming, appointed with all the necessities and some luxuries. Peaceful, isolated surroundings in nature. Two other similar rental cabins on the property. Not far from Fredericksburg.

Enjoyed our time

We enjoyed our time there together it was just what we needed. I have a few things that if they were taken care of this would be a ten out of ten! The shower needed a little clorox cleanup to kill the mold. The blinds, ceiling fan, curtain rods and top of fridge needed dusting. Also under the bed! The vent under the A/C has a little mold on the fins. I am a cleaner and I noticed this stuff. I did not let it bother me though because it was a cabin in the woods! Just thought I'd share incase you wanted to up the experience of your guests. The hot tub, stars and atmosphere was absolutely wonderful!

This was exactly what we were looking for. A beautiful cabin in a secluded location. The property was really nice and quiet. It had a nice kitchen set up with all the things needed to cook a meal. We did bring a few of our own things to help with that, but it wasn't necessary. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom area was big and beautiful with a sink, toilet, stand up shower, and a nice tub. It was exactly as the listing. The kitties were so sweet. A couple were a little shy but warmed up. We enjoyed watching the hummingbirds on the front porch and the night sky was absolutely gorgeous. If you are looking for a get away from the noisy big towns, this is an amazing place to stay!

We absolutely loved the tranquility of this cabin. It was exactly what we wanted, peace and quiet. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed and was the perfect size for the 2 of us. We loved using the hot tub at night while listening to nature. We saw deer, raccoons, and loved being greeted by the cats everyday. We would definitely stay here again!

Anniversary getaway

I absolutely adored this little cabin, it was secluded enough that I really felt I had some quiet relaxation to myself but close enough to town it wasn't an inconvenience to drive to town. The cabin itself was cute and homey it had all the cooking utensils we needed. Also, THE BED! I have not slept on something more comfortable, as someone with back and neck issues I felt amazing when I woke up in the morning. Will definitely be staying here again in the future.

Quiet and soothing

We came for our 41st anniversary and some quiet time.The cabin was secluded at the end of the road and we never heard or saw anyone. It had everything we needed and an endless supply of DVDs. Thank you for a great week.
