This centrally located/newly renovated farmhouse has been in the Bernard family for 100 years. It is15.8 miles from Jamestown Marina (Safe Harbor), 13 miles from Lake Cumberland (Alligator II) Marina, 18 miles from Lake Cumberland State Park and Marina, and 17 miles from Wolf Creek Dam. It is right off of the Cumberland Parkway, and a short distance to both Columbia and Somerset. This 4th generation farmhouse is the perfect place to relax with family and friends after a day of boating on the lake or fishing on the river. It is cozy, inviting, clean, and welcoming. And it is pet (dogs only) friendly! The large front porch has 2 rockers, a swing, and a chase lounger. Inside are 3 bedrooms, a family room with a comfy leather couch, which leads to a living room with more comfortable furniture. The dining room has a large dining table seating 6. Off the dining room is the kitchen stocked with everything you need for preparing and dining (except for the food, of course!). The original bathroom boasts a 1950’s tub with newly added showerhead, and the original beadboard ceiling. Our "new" 2nd bathroom has an amazing soaking tub that is always a hit with renters. The main floor bedroom has a tempur-pedic adjustable queen bed. The 2 bedrooms upstairs are full of charm and warmth, each with a queen bed. The floors are all original throughout the house. Each and every room in the house has a perfect combination of new furniture and antique pieces. A french door in the dining room opens up to a deck with a griddle grill and 2 tables. To the right of the deck is a large firepit and 6 chairs. We provide wood for our guests to use. There is a large backyard for kids to run around and play. Also, in the summer you will be surrounded by crop (corn or soy), because it still is a working farm.
The driveway is a large circular driveway, and there is plenty of room for several cars and/or trucks with boat trailers. House is close to Maple Street, so you will hear some traffic noise.
NOTICE: We have a very old pear tree in the front yard. During fruit bearing season (July- September) it does attract alot of bees. IF YOU OR A FAMILY MEMBER HAS AN ALLERGIC REACTION TO BEE STINGS PLEASE BE AWARE.
