Beautiful 2 Bedroom Vacation Condo in Galveston - Great Gulf Views

Beautiful 2 bed/2 full bath condo, located directly on the Seawall on the 9'th floor. Walk across the street to Galveston's new "Babe's Beach". Completely unobstructed view of the ocean; the building has a 24 hour concierge on site, and the building has an elevator. Onsite amenities include onsite community laundry, tennis court, onsite pool, security, trash, water and sewer.

Tile in every room provides for an allergy free stay. Modern kitchen has utensils, plates and cups and with stainless steel appliances.

Kitchen comes fully stocked with dishes, pots and pans, and basic cooking utensils.

Open concept dining room and living room have stunning ocean front views.

The condo will sleep 5, each bedroom has a queen size bed, and there is a sofa that sleeps one in the living area. Bedroom 1 has a private full bath, inside the bedroom, and large walk in closet. Bedroom 2 has an ocean view, with a closet with a sliding door, and the bathroom is located just outside the door of the bedroom, and can be shared with guests who are using the living room area.

Property has a pool and tennis courts.

Close to restaurants, Wal-Mart, and transportation (Galveston trolley line runs in front of condominium).

Directly across from the beachfront. Chairs and Umbrellas for sale on beach by independent vendors.

August beach trip

Great property for our group of 2 adults and 2 kids. Short walk across the street to the beach, great community pool, balcony view of the waves and secure parking made for a great weekend getaway before the next school year gets underway. We would definitely consider this property again.

Very nice and quiet...

AC worked very well. The ocean view was spectacular. More water pressure would have been nice, but overall manageable. Would stay again if given the opportunity.

Relaxing location!

The AC is fantastic! Location is great! sitting on the 9th floor being able to look out at the water is the best view! Road noise is surprising loud to be on the 9th floor.

Good Location

The location was good ,quiet building , kitchen utensils adequate but the matresses were too soft. We wound up looking like a taco !!! Would probably stay there again.

Sister Trip

This is our 2nd sister trip and stayed in same room as last year. Really love being further out from hub-bud closer into town. The balcony is great, we love to people watch. Hoping to do a December visit and our "Sister Trip" next year.

Awesome!

The view from the condo was awesome! We could see straight across to the ocean (Babe’s Beach). This was perfect access to take little ones and all of our gear across the street. The condo was clean and updated. The location was perfect. And the pool was great when we needed a break from the ocean.

Weekend getaway

You can't beat the view from the condo. Long balcony with access from living room and a bedroom. Building management was very friendly and made you feel at home.. Just a few items that need attention in the condo....need better mattresses, the toilet in the hall had issues at times flushing. Water pressure in both showers was very low. And have to barely turn on the water in the hall shower to get hot water. Kitchen is stocked with nice appliances. AC worked great. Overall, a nice weekend and good place to stay.

Breathtaking views

The property was beautiful with beautiful views right across the road from on the sea wall. I had to send at least 2 message to get any response from the property owner / manager. We stayed for the Lone Star Rally and the location was good. 9th floor was nice for the views and & helped with some of the motorcycle noise all night long. Lol we are trying a home a little closer to the festives next year if we are not happy we will be back. Maybe a different condo next time, just because of the communication issues. Because of the pandemic I needed to changes dates and that was tough.

Perfect for family of four

My husband, two teen sons and I stayed here. The location is perfect. It is very quick and easy for us to get to the beach. You just walk out the front door of the complex and cross the street and you are on the beach. Crossing with teen age kids is no problem. If you have several small children and a lot of beach gear it may be tricky to cross the street. You may need to walk down to the street light, which might be a bit of a hike with small children. The condo was clean and decorated with cute beach decor. The kitchen had everything we needed. The appliances were clean and in good working condition. One of my boys elected to sleep on the couch instead of share the bed with his brother. He is a lanky 15 year old boy and fit just fine. I don’t think a full grown person would be comfortable on the couch, but he didn’t mind. You may need to bring bedding for the couch. We found a couple of small blankets that didn’t fully cover him, but my son didn’t mind. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again.

Dirty, In disrepair

Arrived after a long drive was exhausted to a place that had not even been cleaned, in fact it was nasty...Notified property manager had to leave over 2 hours before I could get back in. Bathtub has no/broken stopper, small vanity mirror was broken and leaned against furniture, mirrors were on the floor instead of being properly hung, parking is over $16 was told $10, sliding door doesn’t lock ( I guess not a big deal on the 9th floor) but goes to show the lack of attention this place is given. There are ZERO check out instructions had to ask the front desk personnel. Overall this particular unit needs a serious deep cleaning especially the bedrooms and bathrooms The view is very nice with access right across the street to the beach. I’d stay at this location again but in a different unit. I sent all this information to Terrell and of course got ZERO reply again goes to show this group or persons lack of attention or concern for paying guests. Look elsewhere unless your desperate I wish I had I don’t know who wrote the 5 star reviews saying this place was updated just look in either bedroom or bath and you’ll know that’s simply false. The pool and grounds are maintained by another group so they are in good condition for a older facility. The people we encountered were very nice (tourists, residents and complex staff).

Nice Stay

This property was easily accessed by my dad (cane/scooter user). There was room to park his scooter in the room, elevator access made this property a much better option than others in galveston (most have stairs). If you plan on walking to attractions, this probably isnt the property for you, but that being said- it was a quick drive to everything we wanted on the island. The furthest thing was the strand which was about 15 mins. We had to drive everywhere because of my dad anyway, so this was a great location for us and being a bit further down from the action meant the beach in front of us wasnt near as busy. >Room with view is smaller, master has no view. > its about a 5-7 min walk down the road to the closest cross walk to get to the beach unless you jay walk. >the view was amazing >furniture was perfect for our group of 4. >there was enough room in the living room for a queen blow up (we brought a mattress just in case anyone disagreed on the 2 queen beds). > minimal things provided with the unit. There were extra pillows, but no extra pillowcases. extra throw blankets but no extra full size blankets. Some coffee and sweetener packets. Hand and body soap. No games. >Maintenace needs done on patio door and hot water doesnt work in one bath- so its 1.5 baths. Bath that works is the master. This was not a deal breaker for us, we would book again and just bring an extra blanket and pillow. Just so yall know! Overall very nice view, nice stay, and very clean.

Don't stay here!

After we paid for our stay the owner said the Balcony would be closed for building repairs, For two days they Jack hammered and welded our balcony which had Caution tape in front of the windows for safety. The noise was so loud we had to leave during the day. The Microwave didn't work from the first day here, the Owner did not return a call despite saying he would. The wind blowing through the front door could be felt in the living room and was so loud we had to turn up the TV, you can see daylight through the door and door jam. The toilets don't properly flush all the time and run other times. The towel racks in the front bathroom are falling off the wall. The matteress's in both bedrooms were very uncomfortable, cheap sheets and encased in plastic that was very hot, air matteress's would have been more comfortable. There were no instructions to run the TV remotes which took us 30 to 45 minutes to figure out. Only a 2 up coffee maker not suitable for this condo. The entire Condo was very dated but combined with all else that's wrong makes this unit and the lack of owner communication unacceptable!! To any renter no matter the price. This review has NO reflection on the people who work at the Condo who were most helpful and courteous and answered our questions and even contacted the owner for us, but he never bothered to call us. I would not reccomend this Unit

The condo had aa beautiful view of the Gulf and was very well cared for. Everything was in order when we checked in. The location is nice. The drawback for both of us were the very soft, and spongy, mattresses. I would suggest updated the mattresses and the linens to cotton. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony listening to and watching the waves.

It’s a nice condo with a great view. The swimming pool is ice cold freezing. The tv in the living area would not connect to cable. After paying everything, including required insurance and parking fees, it got a bit pricey. Still, it was a good location for us.

View was nice. One bed was ok , the master bed was too soft and felt worn out , squeaking with every movement and poor quality linens. Although a 2 bath unit, only one ( sluggish) toilet operational for 90% of the stay ( it was repaired the afternoon before our scheduled departure). Very limited supplies in kitchen , although listed as being fully stocked. We were very disappointed with this choice.

Location, location, location!

Dated, the beds are small and in desperate need of new mattresses! The master commode does not fill with water and the tank had to be filled with water from the tub. Other small things need updates/repairs. All in all it met our needs but we will look further next year. That being said we walked to the beach every day and enjoyed the pool.

Great location, building is a bit run down

Nice place, great location. Amazing view. We were able to walk right over to the beach and not deal with the crowds and parking you'll find closer to the touristy area. I was surprised by a few fees not mentioned in the post, but still worked out fine. Size was perfect for our 4 person family. Very comfortable.

Across from Babe Beach

We enjoyed the closeness to the beach, but did stress a bit a few times crossing the street. The unit we stayed in had faulty plumbing. It would take forever for a toilet tank to refill. The master bedroom TV did not work and they had most all utensils but NO Silverware. Will probably not say there again only because we decided we really liked West Beach.
