Just a 5 minute walk to Lake Superior and a few more minutes to downtown shops and dining. We are open from June thru September. Minimum 7 night stay Monday to Monday
We have a full kitchen with everything you will need, washer/dryer towels provided, good size bathroom with tub/shower combo.
Master bedroom has 1 queen bed and and 1 full bed and lots of closet space. the second bedroom is a loft over the living room with a queen bed. All linens are provided.
Large deck and picnic table in the back and firepit. Gas grill.

The house exactly as pictured. We came to hunt rocks and they had shovels and bags. Good location. Town has quite a few places to eat wonderful food. I would stay againKitchen was well stocked.

I stayed here in June 2026 and enjoyed it so much I returned the same year with my Dad, who hadn't been on vacation for a very long time. He usually doesn't like rentals or hotels, because he doesn't like sleeping in other people's beds or using other people's things. Even my Dad liked this rental, which really is high praise. The dining room and living have comfortable furniture. It's a great location from town and just a nice little walk to the bay. The house does have everything you need. Jill helped us get settled in and was very responsive, which we truly appreciated.

We had a great stay! The house was mostly as described. My husband and I were aware of the loft, and understood the stairs would be steep. However, they were challenging to get down and we kept hitting our heads on the ceiling when climbing up and down. So we ended up sharing the bedroom with our toddler and infant, not the end of the world. The house was comfortable and rustic. We appreciated that the owners had their streaming services logged in, it made it so much easier to find a movie at night. The location of the house is fantastic. Less than 5 minute walk to the beach on the bay, which is fantastic with small children. We were able to walk into town and enjoyed the local restaurants and shops. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would book again!

We love spending time in Grand Marais and this home, on a quiet street, is the perfect place to relax. It's within walking distance to shopping, restaurants, the beach, and various activities.

This home is in an ideal location, close to restaurants and shops. It was clean, beautifully decorated and supplied with everything you might need. I would definitely rent again. Communication with the owner was easy.

Great stay

The home was very clean and equipt with everything you might need! Great location. Only minutes away from main street. Jill the owner was very quick to respond to any questions we had! Definitely would stay again!

We had another great year at Gus and Jill’s. Jill reached out appropriately and responded quickly, the location is perfect, and we can have our dog with us. We love their place.

Frequent Grand Marais Vacationers

This was our first time staying at this location-though we have vacationed in Grand Marais in the fall for over 20 years. We had a great experience here. The house was comfortable, clean, close to the public beach, and close to town. It had all the essentials-and more-to make our stay very enjoyable.

Great Location and Price

The home is perfect for me, my mom and my dog and we've rented twice before when we come to Grand Marais for an annual family reunion. Already booked for 2024 too!

Cozy home, quiet location and affordable

Felt like home and we didn't need a thing with the exception of food. Nothing to complain about, not even the church bells ringing! We would definitely stay again!

This is a cozy, comfortable home that is right in Grand Marais, so the lication is ideal. The only reason it isn't 5 stars is that the downstairs beds are too firm, and the only Queen size is in the loft with the stairs more like a ladder and not suitable for any very young children, older adults or anyone with ambulatory issues.

House close to the beach

This house is in a great location in Grand Marais. You can walk to the beach and main street where all the restaurants, shopping, and ice cream shops are. It also is in a quiet neighborhood. The home itself does need some updating, but it was fine for our stay.
