Location was wonderful. Easy access to trolley. This property worked wonderful for the entire family. If I could have changed anything it would have been the weather. But the house was very warm and accommodating.

Deadwood Winter Getaway

We had such a great time last year staying at this property, we knew we wanted to book it again for this years getaway with family and two friends. Conveniently located across from the Deadwood Gulch, where there is a restaurant, casino, and trolley stop- this property is close enough to get to downtown Deadwood quickly but offers wonderful, serene, and secluded views of the Black Hills. The property was incredibly clean and the owners always have wonderful communication of check in and check out processes. Will see you again next year!

Awesome stay!

Our group had a very nice time staying here. Very convenient for getting on the trolley when we used it. Lots of space for the group that we had. Lots of room for parking and the taxi the couple of times we had that.

Friend time in a great town

The owners were very personable, the property was clean lots of extras, like coffee, shampoo laundry soap etc… very nice location. It was perfect and we will be staying there again. It was also easy to get to Spearfish, downtown Deadwood. It is a must stay in that area Thank you.

Great place!

We had a great time staying here! The house was very clean, had all the amenities we needed. The deck is gorgeous and there’s so much room for people to gather. There was even a great restaurant and casino right across the street!

A Deadwood Gem

I was in Deadwood to celebrate my 40th birthday with a group of friends and family and The Red House could not have been a more perfect location for the center of the fun! Breakfast on the deck every morning watching the deer, a fully stocked kitchen for cooking big meals, and cozy spaces for games and endless nights of laughter! The beds and rooms were so comfortable and the owners were so kind and communicative, even being excited for our celebration! The house is meticulously clean and a lovely spot in Deadwood to gather! Thank you for opening your home to us!

Remarkable Red Lodge!

Highly recommend staying at the red lodge. Location is great. It was furnished fantastically. Great outdoor spaces for all times of the day. Truly enjoyed our time there.

Wonderful home!!

We travel up to the black hills every year and this was our first year at Red Lodge. Everything was perfect! There is plenty of room and things to do for every one of all ages. The location is absolutely perfect too. We will definitely look to stay at the Red Lodge in the future!

Quite Getaway

Wonderful quiet getaway that was only a half mile from historic Deadwood. Had everything we needed stocked and ready to go. Was centrally located to see all the other historic sites in southern SD. Would definitely recommend and do again !!

Guys golf trip

Went to Deadwood/Black Hills golf trip. Booked the Red Lodge as we had 4 people. The location was great, just outside of Deadwood with a quick and easy Trolley ride into and back out to the house, as needed. Had a fantastic deck that overlooked deer feeding in the back, often. The only small issue that we noticed was that the TV in the Living Room was too small for the room size, other than that, it was nicely furnished with everything you would need.

This property is very well maintained. Inside and out period the location was excellent. We got to see a few deer and a chipmunk on the property. Three year old granddaughter loved it as well as all of us adults.

4th of July Extravaganza

Absolutely one of the best places we have stayed in recent years. Property is well equipped with everything you need, spacious with room for everyone. Beautiful oversized deck was a highlight for relaxing and spending time visiting with family. Terry and Dawn could not have been better hosts and treated us as if we were extended family, very thankful for everything. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great place to stay!

Home Away From Home

This VRBO lives up to all of the hype. It is super spacious and has lots of activities. I stayed here with my fiance and some friends to do a weekend in Deadwood and it was SO easy and convenient to be able to stay here. Check-in/check-out was a breeze, beds are comfortable, the ping-pong table was well utilized, and we enjoyed hanging out on the deck since it was so nice!

Fun stay

Home is well equipped with games, ping pong, foosball table and movies plus roku tv. Great patio and views. The basement was perfect for the family with kids. 2 twin beds in the same room as a queen plus they were separated from the others. Great coffee bar. We enjoyed the property very much!

Great Place to Stay

We really enjoyed our stay. We have stayed at alot of places and this place was perfect for a big group. We had 10 of us and there was plenty of room to move around and more then enough privacy and bathrooms. They had a ton of kitchen essentials including crock pots which we use all the time on big gatherings and lots of spices and coffee. Would recommend to anyone and would definetly stay again. They responded to any of our questions within seconds. LOVE THIS PLACE!

The location appealed to us right away. The home is conveniently located within the city limits of Deadwood. Deadwood Gulch Hotel, Restaurant, and Casino is located right across the road. Mickelson Trail is also located across the street where one can bike and walk. In certain winter months there is snowmobile access to the Mickelson Trail. One can grab the trolley across the street to catch a ride downtown. There is plenty of room for parking too.

Even though one is right in Deadwood the property has a sense of seclusion. One can enjoy the beautiful canyon views from the deck in the back of the home. There is lots of pine and birch trees. Deer often visit right in the front yard. Take a hike to the top of the canyon and enjoy the views.
