Come relax in this newer home situated in the middle of Surf Pines, a quiet, beachfront community on the North Oregon Coast. The 2,800 sq ft house features 4 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms and sleeps 10 +guests with plenty of room to spare. From the large elevated deck and hot tub you will enjoy listening to the nearby waves crash and watching the numerous deer and elk feeding on nearby grass. Take a short walk down one of the communities private trails to beautiful Sunset beach which offers miles of beach combing, kite flying, boogie boarding and bonfires while watching the sun set over the Pacific. The house's central location puts you within 15 minutes of Downtown Seaside, Gearhart, Astoria and numerous beaches. For the outdoor enthusiast Sunset beach offers fantastic clamming and nearby seaside and nehalem bay offer a chance to catch tasty Dungeness crabs. Public golf courses, kayaking and miles of hiking and bike riding opportunities are all within a short drive. The house features a fully equipped kitchen, wifi internet, flat screen televisions, and cable for all the amenities of home. Parking is available for boat trailers and/or rv's and house is kid friendly with a pack and play, baby gates and high chair.

Absolutely perfect for large families

The title says it all! There is so much space, and the floorplan divides it very nicely. We had two whole families (4 adults 7 kids) sharing this accommodation with room to spare. The kitchen was well-equipped, with ample room for cooking while others socialized around the bar. We saw deer in the neighborhood almost every day, to the children's great delight, and the sunset on the appropriately-named Sunset Beach nearby was one of the best I've ever seen. This was definitely one of the most pleasant VRBOs I've had the privilege to enjoy.

Family Time

Good food, fun, and family time in Astoria and Seaside. This house was close to everything we wanted to do. Good time had by all!

Perfect beach house

Great property, location, and hot tub was great. Only complaint is the fridge smelled so bad we couldn’t put food in there

Weekend beach trip

The house was very nice. Huge rooms! Good bidding. Great bathrooms! Very well stocked kitchen. Hot tub is well maintained by a service. The only thing that was a little odd, a lot of the bedside or couch side lamps and floor lamps did not have knobs to turn them on. Some of the outlets had broken plates. Exposing the inside wires. It was a very comfortable house. Huge common room, making it very comfortable for our large group it was very private, and quiet, having a gated community setting.

Always a great stay

My friends and I have stayed here several years in a row now. We have a great time. The house does well for the 5 of us. Host is great. Will be back again next year.

Spacious home!

Lovely large home we had 5 adults and 5 kids and had plenty of room! Well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. The community is beautiful and quiet!

Bunco beach trip

This was a beautiful home. There was lots of comfortable places to sleep. It was a great location with plenty to do in Astoria and Seaside nearby. The only thing I would recommend is that there are more chairs to sit around the table for a larger group. Well stocked kitchen. House very clean!

Great, roomy and close to destinations

Lots of room for the 6 of us (or more if we had more) to stretch out. 3 tv rooms were nice but kitchen was great as we did most of our hanging out in the spacious area. Great gated neighborhood. Felt safe. Local deer were fun to look at off back deck where we enjoyed coffee one morning. No complaints other than some pretty old gnarly ice from the fridge ice maker, and 3 small remotes didn’t have batteries in them. Not sure what they were for but apparently didn’t need them to operate tvs.

Great house for couples weekend getaway!

I was a little concerned when two of the last three reviews mentioned guys fishing trip and going crabbing. I thought we might be getting a house that was a little fishy. It was anything but! We had four couples staying there and it accommodated us very nicely. The kitchen and upstairs area provided a great space to be together while meals were prepared, eaten, games played and plans made for the days activities. It was a nice walk to the beach where we enjoyed a great sunset. The house was in a great location to golf in Gearhart one day and spend time in Astoria on others. I look forward to coming back again!

Third time!

Stayed at this house for the third time. Friends come down and we go crabbing. The house has everything we need, plenty of room, close to boat launch and in a wonderful neighborhood. We will come again!!

Overall, the house was a nice place for us to stay centrally in the Seaside-Astoria area. It was unseasonably warm for the first day of our stay and the house had little airflow with no cooling solutions, especially with no breeze which was problematic for our group as the house was 78 degrees that night and made sleeping hard. Other than that, it housed our group of 10 well with adequate spaces for everyone to have their own spot and privacy. The walk to the beach was also nice and a fun way to spend the evening.

September Fishing

The house was great for 4 guys fishing trip. It was very clean, large and the amenities were as advertised. We will definitely try to stay here on future trips.

Great location

The place was nice, spacious, and in a great location! A short walk to the beach, and lots of wildlife to see, especially early mornings. The local breakfast place (The Nest) at the corner of Sunset Beach and Lewis rd quickly became our favorite. Friendly people, great coffee, delicious food. Only stressful part was making sure we staggered showers to not overwhelm the septic system.

Not so Newer Hom

The house is nice, but definitely isn't "newer." The patio furniture is in the final stages of rusting out, the stairs to up to the back deck have missing support boards, and the overall condition is "aging" with a LOT of emphasis on not overwhelming the septic system (signs in bathrooms, by the sink, etc). The kitchen has a random assortment of things, but all starting to show age. The can opener doesn't spin when you turn the handle, the (only) big cooking pot has a BIG bulge in the bottom making boiling water a long-term project, the toaster warms eventually and browns on one side of the bread only, etc. When we checked in, one patio chair was collapsed from rust, there was a hole in the kids-bedroom door, some window screens are missing, blinds don't close all the way due to broken pull-cords, and the paint is chipped and scuffed throughout. The community is gated and there are a LOT of speed bumps, but the neighbors seem friendly and it's close to the beach (though you just barely CAN'T see the ocean from the house because it is behind a 1/4 mile wide sand dune.

Great for the weekend

We enjoyed the house for the weekend. It was clean, spacious and well kept. The kitchen was well stocked w/ pots / pans / dishes / spices. There are 11 of us and we all had room to hang out, play games and even have some private times if needed. Overall, a good house to rent for a family gathering.
