Reality check! All comments before us were 4 and 5 stars but it’s not…it’s a 3 stars. Maybe once upon a time in the west it was a 5 stars but ain’t anymore but still have potential to be a 5 stars. This cottage is located in the rich countryside of Ocala so if you’re looking for an experience on a real ranch, this isn’t the place. Max one of the owners on site is friendly, they have two friendly dogs also . We did appreciate our stay but…gotta admit that it was a little bit boring after 4 days. This place is more suited for people over 55 years old …here’s a lot of pros and cons which will backup our evaluation. Don’t get me wrong , it’s a nice place but overrated in our opinion which we are in titled to. PROS; Great view Washer and dryer inside the cottage Peaceful and quiet place if you forget the peacock screaming all night Nice cottage The pool….but You can watch and touch the horses and a few other animals Great weather Patio doors all around so great view even when inside CONS; Parking is about 150 feet from the cottage which isn’t a problem in itself but the path to get there had DOG POO in our way everyday of our stay… Curtains and Coussins on the sofa had stains on it Blue patio chairs outside all showed signed of moisture Pool was cold and showed traces of stain all around the pool It’s an area with many ranch but you CAN’T ride horses anywhere!!?? Have 14 examples showing a lack of maintenance but no more room to write
