Imaginez vous réveiller au milieu du pays des chevaux d'Ocala, entendre les oiseaux, regarder les poneys à proximité et prendre votre café au bord de la piscine, à quelques pas du chêne centenaire. Il s'agit d'un refuge spécial pour deux, à seulement 20 minutes du centre-ville d'Ocala et 30 de Gainesville et de l'Université de Floride. Le couple d'architectes a entièrement rénové sa petite grange, ajoutant des commodités et un mobilier modernes tout en conservant le charme. Un escalier en colimaçon mène à une spacieuse chambre en mezzanine avec lit queen-size, coin salon et bibliothèque; les fenêtres donnent sur les chevaux, les prairies, les arbres. Le rez-de-chaussée a des murs en verre sur trois côtés avec des rideaux pleine longueur pour une intimité totale. salon / salle à manger à aire ouverte avec kitchenette compacte est parfait pour la détente et les repas. Regardez vos émissions préférées sur la télévision par câble. Le patio au bord de la piscine comprend un barbecue, une table en verre et des chaises. La piscine en forme de rein entourée de palmiers est clôturée et accepte les animaux. La cour canine est accessible depuis la salle à manger, et vous pouvez marcher pendant des kilomètres dans les rues environnantes et les ruelles de la ferme. Parfait pour se détendre et laisser vos soucis disparaître.

The hosts were very responsive and easy to work with. The property and properties around are beautiful horse farms. The cottage was very cute and unique. The giant live oak next to cottage is breathtaking. We had a lovely time outside by the pool and taking a walk along the horse farms. Horses were gorgeous and follows us along on their side of fence. They were so interested in our little dog. She wasn't too sure about those big things. It was a nice mini adventure !

Best vacation ever! Everything was outstanding! Our hosts were so welcoming, felt like being home. The environment is so relaxing. Our home away from home had everything you needed and then some…just in case you forget something, it is probably there. Loved visiting with the horses and other critters. There is plenty to do and see in the surrounding area, plus lots of restaurants. Would not hesitate to come back…and hope to see you again!!

Absolutely beautiful also a great place to stay if you are traveling with your pet. I would definitely recommend this cottage just to sit and relax after a busy day of sightseeing.

I have had the pleasure of staying at this cottage whenever I've visited Ocala for years now. It and the lovely hosts is my go-to. My mini-Aussie, Ruby loves it here too and is always intrigued by the horses. Why stay anywhere else?

Peaceful Paradise

This is our second stay and each time has been amazing. Surrounded by beautiful pastures and friendly horses, grilling in the evenings and mimosas by the pool in the morning, we had everything we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Can’t wait to come back.

A peaceful retreat

My friend and I stayed for a week - exactly what we needed. The evening sunset capped off a day poolside. Ann and Max are great hosts. I highly recommend a stay here for rest, relaxation, and peace. I will definitely stay again.

We had an enjoyable stay over the last eight days. The weather was colder than expected, with nighttime temperatures dropping into the 20s, and the loft area was the warmest space in the house. Because of the cold weather, we weren’t able to use the pool, but the property itself was in very good shape.I especially loved the animals on the property. There were six horses and one miniature horse, all very friendly. We were able to pet them and feed them carrots and apples, which I really enjoyed. I also enjoyed watching how the horses are harnessed for a show — it was fascinating to see.There were also two dogs, Captain and Lady, who were very friendly and even looked for me through the fence one day, which was really sweet. In addition, there was a barn cat, a rooster, a hen, and several peacocks.Overall, the stay was peaceful and relaxing. We truly enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and hospitality and would definitely return again.

This is the best place, beautiful, clean, pool house with loft and pool. Max & Anne are the best hosts. Highly recommend and can't wait to return.
