Un magnifique domaine agricole de colline

South Lodge est une maison de vacances indépendante de plain-pied située seule, nichée dans le côté du bois. Le chalet est dans une position élevée donnant sur la maison principale du domaine et le loch et les collines au-delà.

Vous entrez dans le chalet en trois étapes jusqu'au porche où vous pouvez laisser tous vos bottes et manteaux, puis sur le palier. qui a deux portes. La porte de droite mène à une grande chambre confortable avec un lit super king-size ou des lits jumeaux. La chambre a des placards, une commode, une coiffeuse et deux fenêtres à double vitrage donnant sur les bois et les pelouses. La porte à gauche mène au salon confortable et relaxant avec poêle à bois, TV / DVD à écran plat, station d'accueil, canapé et chaise confortables. Les deux fenêtres à double vitrage offrent également de belles vues.

Au fond du salon se trouve une porte qui mène à la cuisine et à la salle de douche.

La cuisine à droite est bien équipée avec réfrigérateur-congélateur, lave-linge, cuisinière électrique et micro-ondes et tout l'équipement dont vous auriez besoin pour préparer la nourriture.

La salle de douche à gauche a un chauffage au sol, une grande douche Aqualisa avec une excellente pression, lavabo et WC.

Ce charmant chalet possède son propre jardin principalement couvert de pelouse avec une sélection de meubles de jardin et un barbecue mobile pour les soirées d'été. Si vous êtes tranquille, vous pouvez apercevoir les écureuils roux se nourrissant régulièrement de la propre table d'oiseaux des chalets que nous nourrissons.

Un hangar ouvert offre un stockage idéal pour les vélos ou un coffre de toit et de la place pour le stationnement hors route.

Il y a aussi un grand hangar à bûches et les bûches sont fournies gratuitement, mais certaines doivent être fendues avec la hache fournie.

South Lodge a tout ce dont vous avez besoin et est un véritable «chez soi».

Lovely cottage in beautiful surroundings

Perfect sized cottage for 2, with very comfortable bed, excellent hot water supply, well thought out kitchen and sitting room. The powerful shower is a bit too much for the slow drainage in the bathroom shower cubicle. This was the main problem we had (hence the one “4” rating”) but was not really a major issue. We appreciated the friendly welcome from Tayla, also the advice on walks around the estate and list of local eateries, although some of these are not fully operational at present. We liked the Smiddy in Lochgilphead one lunchtime and the cafe in the Ardfern village shop gave us excellent home made soup and sandwiches another day. The peaceful surroundings, nuts and fatballs provided to entice local birds (plus flapjacks for the visiting humans!) all made for a lovely week’s holiday base.

This is a lovely lodge, off the beaten track. Very peaceful, very comfy bed, we had a lovely week away.

Nice cottage for 2

Very nice and helpful hosts on the farm at Loch Ederline. The cottage is very tastefully decorated and has all the essentials for a stay. You can do a lot, it's quiet and close to nature.

Just what we were looking for

Lovely cottage in fantastic location. A peaceful setting close to nature. The whole region has loads of places of interest and beautiful settings. We had our dog with us and everywhere we visited was dog friendly. A great place to go on long walks, explore historical landmarks or just relax and take things easy. I would definitely return. Having excellent weather definitely added to our experience.

South Lodge

The cottage is very pretty and very tastefully decorated. The bed is very comfortable and we slept well. The estate is lovely and we really appreciated the walk suggestions provided. Our only criticism is that the property is not properly ventilated and it was very damp (even with some black mould in one or two places, which was concerning).

LODGE

Particularly enjoyed the spaciousness and comfort of the accommodation. The maps for walks in and around the estate were an unexpected bonus, which was taken full advantage of. A surprising coincidental connection to the estate owner. The flapjacks were the best we'd ever tasted (recipe?)! The only disappointment was the DVD/CD player incompatible with the TV/sound system, so were unable to enjoy the music and movies we'd brought. Otherwise, a well deserved 5 stars!

Another Ederline stay

Another April visit to our favourite pace. Ederline never disappoints. South Lodge is just fantastic with everything you need for the perfect getaway. The wildlife from the kitchen window is fabulous, pine marten, squirrels, badger, deer and fox. Not forgetting the abundance of birds. Willa and Angus are the perfect hosts, nothing is too much trouble. We hope to return later in the year

A little piece of heaven

Out of every window is most beautiful view wherever you look. Estate has most wonderful walks. Bungalow is clean and cosy, wood fire is fab and cosy after highland walks. Super king size bed so comfortable. Will return as soon as.

Beautiful location

Cottage was well equipped and cleaned to high Covid-19 specification. Location was beautiful and peaceful - on a private estate road with no public traffic. Plenty of fabulous walks on the estate and the surrounding area. Totally recommend the host's home-made flapjack.

A lovely cottage in a beautiful area

The cottage was exactly what we expected. It was a good size particularly the bedroom and plenty big enough for the two of us and our two dogs. It has everything you need, and being able to light a fire when you have been out walking all day in the cold is just the best thing and it really does warm the whole cottage. It is located in a beautiful area and we enjoyed some great walks around the estate seeing some amazing wildlife. The area has a beautiful coastline and plenty of places to visit. Kilmory Knap Chapel is a must to see along with Kilmory beach. Our dogs love the sea! We didn't eat out but we did see quite a few dog friendly pubs and cafes while we were travelling around. We would definitely recommend this cottage and the surrounding area.

Sweet cottage surrounded by flowers with all amenities

We had a wonderful week. The location is perfect - so much to do and see close by and very dog friendly. Our West Highland White Terrier loved rediscovering her roots. Willa was welcoming and available to resolve any issues. We hope to return!

Our stay in paradise

5 star accommodation. The perfect place to gdt away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. My husband, myself and our 2 cocker spaniels love this little cottage and by the end of this year we will have been 6 times in the past 2 years. Willa and her family are very welcoming and are on hand to help you have a wonderful stay on the estate. Cottage is exactly as advertised and we absolutely love sitting in front of the wood burning stove. My husband's biggest catch came from the loch even although we couldnt keep the dogs out of the water! We love this estate so much we can't stay away! Lots of beautiful walks and lovely places to eat listed in the visitors information book in the cottage. We will be staying again in July and we can't wait!

Great cottage, beautiful place.

A wonderful cottage on a peaceful spot. It is great to walk on the estate and enjoy nature and see some deer. We were invited to drive the sheep one day with the owner and his dogs. There are many hiking possibilities in the nearby woods or along the coast. The Horse Shoe Inn is a fine pub and Oban a nice place to visit.

What a lovely location and so peaceful overlooking Loch Ederline. Willa and Angus on hand if required. A great centre for touring and would definitely return for a second visit.

I was born in Lochgilphead and have spent a large part of my childhood in Argyll. I am married to Angus and have three children. We took over the estate from my father in 2003. It is a fantastic way of life which we love to share with our guests and help them to see the best of the area. There is too much to do and see in a week but once you have been you will want to return!

I took over the estate from my father ten years ago and count myself so lucky to have the opportunity to care for the cottages and farming business in the most stunning part of the world. A perfect retreat to get away from the busy life that most of us lead. Ederline is a tonic to be consumed regardless of season.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

South Lodge is nestled into the side of a wood. The cottage is in an elevated position looking over to the main estate house and the loch and hills beyond.This charming cottage has its own garden laid mostly to lawn, an open shed which is ideal for storing the bikes or roof box. A large log shed and room for off road parking.
A porch on entry for boots and coats. A large bedroom with a super-king or twin beds with electric blankets and crisp white linen sheets and large fluffy towels. A fitted wardrobe, separate chest of drawers and a dressing table. Windows on two sides looking over the woodland and across the lawn. The sitting room with a clear view log burner, large sofa and arm chair, a full book case. TV, DVD, docking station. A large shower room, basin, WC, heated towel rail and underfloor heating. Fully equipped kitchen with microwave, fan oven, ceramic hob and washing machine. A true 'Home from Home'.
