Tous les yeux seront rivés sur l'océan quand vous entrerez dans Kauhale Makai 506. Les portes coulissantes en verre de votre balcon permettent une vue spectaculaire sur le Pacifique. The condo was in a great location with easy access to the beach and surrounding activities. It was in beautiful shape with anything and everything you might need to enjoy time in Hawaii. We also enjoyed the binoculars to see the whales and boat just out in front of us.
We enjoyed a glorious sunset on the beach in front of our condo.

Beautiful condo

The condo was very comfortable and well taken care of. The walk to the beach was farther than I expected so we didn’t spend much time there.

Nice property

The condo was in good shape and stocked well with beach chairs, beach towels and plenty of miscellaneous items such as coffee, spices and baggie! Great location! The only negatives were, the gas grills wouldn’t start burning in the wind and the inside of the condo didn’t appear to be cleaned thoroughly. Other than that it was great! We would stay there again.

Pleasant Stay

The condo was clean and well appointed and had most items we needed. There were sufficient towels for two but no wash clothes. The ocean view was pleasant from the lanai but there was a parking lot below us which took away from a perfect view. The management company accomodated our late check out request by offering us a time of 1:00PM. Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay.

5 days on Maui

Overall, this is a really nice property. Its location was central enough to do the different activities we had planned for Maui. There was construction around the first floor elevators and sidewalks which blocked off some of the walkways. There was some noise from the construction but we were usually gone all day exploring Maui so it really didn’t affect us. The unit itself was very clean and the views of the ocean were beautiful. We spent some time at the property’s beach which was very relaxing - great hot tub and pool, too.

Great with minor issues

Wonderful place! Did not know how to get to the unit and there were no maps on site but we figured it out. Also did not receive the correct gate code to the pool. Called to get it and did not get a callback.

Kihei condo

We are outdoorsy people and spent very little time in the condo, so all in all it was a good place to stay. Location was central to everything we planned to do. The AC worked. Management was easy to contact to clarify unit location and where we were actually allowed to park. The front desk clerk was super friendly. Cons: Walls were pretty dirty, balcony doors drag badly, we didn’t even get to sit outside because the doors were so hard to open and close. Curtains covering the balcony doors were falling off the wall.

What a place!

The place was amazing! Second to the top floor with an amazing view of the beach that had a clear view of the mountain range. We made use of all the amenities such as, the pool, BBQ and even the beach volleyball court! If you're a golfer that brought your clubs be sure to make your way down the the BBQ area! They have a neat little chipping area to practice your short game!! The location is perfect and only 20 min from the airport. Your basically in the middle of all the areas you would want to explore and the restaurants and bars did not disappoint!

Kauhale Makai 506

As you can tell from above we were very happy with our stay in all ways. Thank you. I thank you for the opportunity to include a review. As a fellow landlord myself, I know the importance and appreciate feedback. With that there are items: 1. When we removed the bedding, we noted very large old brownish stains on both the mattress and bottom of mattress pad. 2. The sliding kitchen trash cabinet door when opening, goes out of alignment. 3. The over the bed lighting: the light closet to the door flickers and doesn't stop unless the light on the other side is on and at it's highest brightness. Thats good if both want the lights on really bright and at the same time. 4. The way the lighting is set up in both the bathroom sink area (very bright) and IN the bathroom, the lights automatically come on per motion detection throughout the 24 hr period and stays on quite awhile before going off. I'm wondering if the owners realize this? We thank you again for a lovely visit and would like to return some day.

Beautiful Place

The condo was clean, orderly, well supplied, and comfortable. It felt so close to home. Hours were spent relaxing on the lanai with the beautiful view in front of us. It was everything we hoped for and we highly recommend this place and it would be our number one pick if we were to return to Maui.

It's kind of noisy

There was construction waking up to ;close to main road so can't open a window when sleeping. Place is ok for the price. Some minor details inside the unit like: not enough towels and toilet paper (we stayed for 10days soo), automatic lights that turn on in middle of the night was annoying a bit...

Booked last minute, nice and comfortable

4-stars for not exceeding our expectations; however, it was very clean and comfortable. Has a nice location, close to everything you would want to do in Kihei. Other popular beaches got rained out during our stay but this stretch of beach stayed a little sunnier than the rest so we got to enjoy that quite a bit. Rockier sand beaches here but very enjoyable/relaxing while being close to our rental.

Kauhale Makai complex was great. Did not stay in 506.

We were emailed by the Maui Rental Group, whilst en-route to the Kauhale Makai, that our initial booking for room 506 could be not honored as it was undergoing renovations to the Lanai area (The North building was undergoing some major renovations we discovered) and we were to be relocated to 434. Sadly 434 had not been used for a while and was very dirty. After some difficulties, the room was cleaned and we were able to have access around 7pm (we arrived at 3) Full credit to the cleaning team as they did a fantastic job in limited time. 434 was an upgrade to 506 as it was 2 x bedroom, 2 x bathroom with pool and ocean view and we were very happy with the condo. In general we were very happy with the Kauhale Makai complex. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The grounds and facilities were very clean and great to use. The location (on the beach) was fantastic. There was a bit of a walk to shopping centres but not too far. Overall we were very happy. A bit disappointed with the Maui Rental Group as: - we received very late notice of the change when clearly renovations were happening for a while. - The delay in getting our room was difficult on our 18 month old baby - we were offered a dinner or some sort of compensation for the inconvenience, around our initial check in, that was never followed up from MRG So in summary... difficulties checking in and settling, happy with the upgrade to 434, very happy with the Kauhale Makai, a bit disappointed with our dealings with Maui Rental Group.
