Magnifique maison de vacances d'été de luxe ou chalet de ski à Mürren - 5 étoiles

Le chalet Candamo est un luxueux chalet de 5 chambres dans le centre de Mürren, un village sans circulation; rénové en 2010 pour offrir un hébergement spacieux et luxueux pour 10 personnes, élégamment décoré et meublé, et intelligemment conçu pour la commodité et le confort pratiques.

Le dernier étage du chalet est consacré à un magnifique espace de vie ouvert sur l'avant-toit dans la salle à manger / salon où deux ensembles de portes-fenêtres s'ouvrent sur un balcon donnant sur l'une des vues les plus célèbres des Alpes suisses: l'Eiger, Montagnes Monch et Jungfrau. La lourde table à manger en chêne peut accueillir 10 personnes avec un coude et 3 canapés confortables sont regroupés autour du feu de bois vitré.

Pour l'été, il y a un jardin sécurisé avec un barbecue et des meubles d'extérieur afin que vous puissiez vous détendre et profiter de la vue imprenable.

Les clients remarqueront de nombreuses touches personnelles et chaleureuses dans le chalet et ceux qui s'intéressent à l'histoire du ski remarqueront de nombreux détails décoratifs

Disposition du chalet:

Le rez-de-chaussée a une porte d'entrée qui mène à un hall d'entrée avec des crochets à vêtements et des porte-chaussures.

Il y a deux grandes chambres, avec des lits jumeaux qui se rejoignent si nécessaire et beaucoup d'espace de rangement; une salle de bain avec douche et baignoire individuelles, une buanderie et un coffre à chaussures avec chauffe-chaussures et un porte-skis avec une porte extérieure ouvrant presque sur la piste.

Le premier étage comprend deux grandes chambres avec lits superking, un grand placard et un balcon; encore une chambre double avec une grande armoire; une salle de bain / douche, une salle de douche / WC et un WC.

Le dernier étage, le salon principal, est ouvert sur l'avant-toit, un aspect principalement vitré plein sud avec un grand balcon. Il a également une salle de douche / WC, une cuisine semi-ouverte et une salle de télévision avec un canapé-lit et une commode qui pourrait également servir de chambre à coucher si nécessaire.

Chalet Candamo really is the idyllic location to base your Swiss alps adventure from. The location in the village is perfect. Our family stayed there the end of May and had great weather and loved going back to beautiful Candamo at the end of each day. It is well appointed and the beds are so comfortable. We had an incredible stay in Murren!! It was such a luxurious but cozy property with literally every single thing we would need, and so close to train stations that brought us around the stunning Swiss alps. The views from the property itself for unbelievable. Highly highly recommend!

Outstanding vacation

8 adults (4 couples) stayed in the chalet for 3 days during our 10 day tour of Switzerland. The chalet is a beautiful, comfortable home and well-kept. Murren was our favorite location in all of Switzerland- a small village with incredible views, enough restaurants and shops to make a stay interesting, and almost no vehicles. The combination of this very comfortable home in an incredible location make for a highly recommended vacation spot.

Beautiful Murren

The property was very well cared for and in excellent condition. While we were only 2 couples it had ample room for more. Everything was first class. The location is in the center of the village and about a 3 minute walk from the Coop. Great balconies with wonderful views. We love Mürren and wish we could have stayed longer.

Perfect stay in Mürren!

We took the whole family (2 parents, 4 adult kids plus their partners) to Mürren for a week. It was wonderful. Mürren is a perfect destination to really explore the whole area. The travel to/from sounds intimidating, but it’s so easy to navigate, and worth being away from the crowds of other towns. The house was fully equipped with everything we needed. And oh that view. Hope to return someday!

Bliss in the Swiss Alps

Our stay at Chalet Candamo was unforgettable! The Chalet is nicely located in the heart of the car free village of Mürren. Chalet Candamo is pure luxury. It is a home with personality. High end decoration. Large bedrooms with luxury bedding and bathrooms. The kitchen is equiped for the most demanding cook !. It snowed at the end of May and we where delighted to sit near the fire place in the spacious sitting room with the breathtaking view on the mountains. It was hard to leave after 3 weeks of pure indulgence! We spent at Chalet Candamo the most lovely family reunion. Thank you so much !

Incredible in Every Way

Our stay at Chateau Candamo was perfect for our group of 6 adults. The location is truly awesome and the facilities were everything we could have hoped for. The kitchen was well-equipped, the bedrooms were very comfortable and the living room was great for relaxing after a hard day of hiking and sight-seeing. The Coop was just down the street and we enjoyed several great meals at restaurants close by. Mürren is the perfect place to be based for a visit to the Bern Oberland. There is easy transportation connections to surrounding villages and sights. Edwina was very easy to communicate with and her instructions and suggestions were greatly appreciated. The onsite property managers were very helpful as well. All said, we would go back to Chateau Candamo tomorrow if we could. I recommend it without hesitation.

Lovely chalet in Murren

First the good: Murren is a lovely town and a great base for hiking. The chalet is large with comfortable beds, a well stocked kitchen, amazing views, and very responsive property managers. My only warnings: 1) We tried to bring my parents for a multigenerational vacation and neither the town of Murren or the chalet are good choices for people with any mobility issues. 2) There Is a tourism tax that is not included in the Vrbo rate. We were only told about it 48 hours before our departure and it amounted to almost $200. I feel strongly that this should be disclosed in the listing or covered by the owner. When I emailed her both directly and through Vrbo, she never responded after being very responsive throughout the entire process until then. Unfortunately, this left a bad feeling on otherwise wonderful vacation.

My favorite VRBO of all time

Chalet Candamo is over the top wonderful. It truly is luxerious in every way. Our family of 10 spent 5 days here. It honestly is perfect in every way. My wife and I (and sometimes family) have stayed in Murren or Wengen at least 15 times over the past 30 years and without a doubt this home is our favorite. The location is perfect...as my son said: "just 86 steps to the COOP". The view is awe inspiring; it truthfully took my breath away. Beds are comfortable and with 5 bathrooms there was never a wait. The kitchen is better stocked with dishes, silverware and pots and pans than any I've experienced. We never were wanting in spite of cooking in for dinner.....rosti, sausages and fondue... every night. My only disappointment is that it is too big (and expensive) for just my wife and I to rent when we return.....and we will return. As my daughter just told me: "I'm ready to go back today". By the way, for the first time we did paragliding which should not be missed. We enjoyed it so much, we all did it a second time. Thank you, Edwina, for letting us rent your wonderful home!

Wonderful 8 nights at Chalet Candamo!

Chalet Candamo provided a memorable week for our family reunion! The views right from our balcony were incredible and the weather cooperated the entire time! The kitchen was well stocked to cook all our meals. The store was a 2 minute walk away and provided everything needed including a delicious GF bread. AnneMarie was most helpful in helping to solve the mystery of our lost luggage after 3 days not appearing! We loved the Northface Trail(with the playground at the top of the Allemhuebel Lift!), Mountain View, Adventure Trail for the kids, the panoramic view from Schilthorn was superb! Plenty of walks to keep us happy. Our favorite restaurant was the Bellevue where we could sit out on their patio for our evening meal and they could cater to our gluten free needs. The only reason I didn't give this a 5 star rating is that I was disappointed in the owner's response in not giving us a discount for the horrible nauseating odor that emanated from the kitchen most of our stay. Granted it was beyond her control but I believe one was in order! She offered one for our NEXT stay but as this was a large family get together, it would be impossible to all come back the following year.

It was very disappointing for this lovely family to have their holiday ruined by the odour. Although we did everything in our power to sort it out whilst they were there. We finally found the source of the smell after taking the kitchen apart but it was too late. I would have offered a further discount on the week but they had already purchased the week at a very preferential rate.

Beautiful home and stunning views.

We spent a great week in the chalet in July/August. The chalet is absolutely perfect: well equipped kitchen, very clean, lots of space, comfortable furniture, and breathtaking views of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. Additionally, the chalet is located close to the Coop which makes grocery shopping very easy. The booking process was straight forward and the owner was pleasant to work with.

Wonderful chalet in beautiful Murren

Our family of five thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Chalet Candamo. It was a truly luxurious experience, with lots of space and plenty of bathrooms for everyone. Beautiful views from every room, fully equipped and expertly organized kitchen. Central location, just steps from the supermarket, and an easy walk to the train and lift stations. We would absolutely stay here again next time we vacation in the area.

July 2019 hiking week

Chalet Candamo worked perfectly for us, as a very comfortable base for a week of hiking and biking and relaxing in the most beautiful of all Swiss mountain resorts. Ideal location, terrific view, lots of bath/shower rooms ... and equipped with all we needed (once we found the well hidden knife drawer). At the end of a hot day on the hoof it was a great treat to come back and watch Wimbledon on TV. We came to the chalet via word of mouth so my non-committal rating for the online listing is meaningless.

I have a busy family life with two nearly grown up children. I am a keen skier, horse rider and I generally lead a very active life. My husband fell in love with Murren when he was a boy, as did I when we married in 1984. Chalet 'Candamo', my maiden name, is our second home which we enjoy both in Winter and Summer.

Candamo is perfectly located in the middle of the village, therefore no walking in ski boots with heavy skis and the supermarket is just 50 yards down the hill. The chalet is ideally located both for winter use and capitalises from the amazing views and beautiful walks during the summer.
