Luxuary Chalet at the bottom of the Eiger in Grindelwald with amazing views !

The elegant and at the same time cozy chalet is located above Grindelwald and impresses with its amazing location. From here you can enjoy a spectacular unobstructed view of the surrounding mountains , the Eiger North Face and the valley of Grindelwald. Completed at the end of 2014, the chalet is connected to a small former stable by an external corridor that was completely renovated in 2016. Experienced skiers can go from the house to the slopes - 800m away!

The space
At the interior design, woods were stylishly combined with natural stones and contemporary furniture. This is how a comfortable feel-good atmosphere was created.
On three floors with approx. 230 mÂČ of living space, there are a total of five bedrooms, the TV room and the beautiful open living and dining area with fireplace as well as the large and fully equipped kitchen.
In the small house, on about 30 m ÂČ, there is a wellness area with a panoramic sauna and wood-burning stove.

The house sleeps up to 8 adults and two children. Houses are heated with air heat pump and equipped with Wi-Fi.

Whether romantic hours for two, a holiday with the whole family or a business trip - alpine ambiance, stylish interior design and contemporary luxury combine to make it an ideal place for any type of nature vacation.

    This property was better than shown. The house is stunning and delight to stay in. The location is spectacular. Stay here is you want to have a fabulous view of the valley, get away from the crowds, listen to cow bells, see how the farmers mow the grass on steep hills, view the mountains and enjoy the best of Switzerland. We spent lots of time sitting out front and taking it all in. This location is good for short trips to all that the region has to offer. Does not get better than this. I am letting all my Swiss relatives know about it and hope to return again. Host was perfect.

    Fantastic chalet in the hills looking down onto Grindelwald and up into the mountains. We are an American family of six (kids ages 9 to 16) and traveled in July. The host was excellent at communicating in advance, helping us find appropriate activities and restaurant recommendations, he even found a French song on YouTube for us that we heard played on our travels. For those of you that use Google Maps—do not trust the final kilometer or so. It tries to take you through a shortcut that is really a paved walking/biking path. Follow the host’s instructions and stay on the road with the home’s address the whole way. The last few kilometers are narrow, but cars work through way through as you go up and down. A note on the area in general in summer—on good weather days, the better weather is in the morning and early afternoon. If clouds and rain come in, it will be in the afternoon. Get your hiking and views in earlier, just in case. Also, the gondolas generally end around 5:30p even though the sun doesn’t set for hours. Plan ahead. We absolutely loved the place, would highly recommend and would visit again.

    Grindewald Chalet

    This is a beautiful home with a magnificent view of the mountains. The drive is a little tricky but worth the effort. The time of year we were visiting was pretty warm requiring us to open windows which brought many flies inside. We believe this was just a seasonal anomaly and truly enjoyed our stay.

    I built the house myself, it was completed in 2014 for the main place and 2016 for the small house. I felt in love with the place because of the spectaculars views it offers ver the mountain and the valley of Grindelwald. It is very quiet ...

    Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

    The setting and the views are what make my place a very special one.
    This property has not been designed for rental purposes but to host my family and friends. That is why it is so personal and unique ... I always hope my guests will understand this as soon as they enter the place and will handle it as if it were their own.
    So far, I have been very lucky, but I must admit too that I do not let every body come in :-)
