Nice place with everything you need very close to the beach. The staff is very friendly & helpful. We will definitely stay here again when we come back.
They shut off the water 3 times while we were there with little notice that was just in the elevators instead of messaging me. The stovetop did not even cook my eggs that i bought so those went to waste. It could not even boil water after 15 minutes on high. Luckily there was a microwave. Place was not clean when we arrived. Floor turned out feet black within 20 minutes of being there
Nice place, a home away from home. Everything you need is available in this compact room. Friendly and helpful front desk team provided assistance and tips to enhance my travel experience. The high speed Wi-Fi didnât work, and the shower room, in special the ceiling needs some TLC. Overall it did provide value to me, so I would definitely book it again.
This property is in a great location. It's not in the middle of Waikiki, it's across the Zoo & fast access to the freeways. It was very easy to communicate with the property manager. I would stay here again.
We really enjoyed our stay! The apartment was within a block from Waikiki beach. Everything was well maintained and very clean. The owner was very responsive to the few questions we had. We will definitely go back!
It was clean and simple studio. No view, but a functional kitchen. Liked that it is near Monsarrat Ave which offers free parking (it's a little walk away)
Great location! 2 minute walk ro beach - easy enough to return to room for bathroom/supplies. Room as advertised. Beach chairs & umbrella are a nice touch. Pool area under construction and not very pleasant at this time - not an issue for us.
Tidy unit and short walk to beaches. Good size fridge. Enjoyed the 10th floor deck with the views to Diamond Head and sunsets. Very helpful reception staff. Tour desk operator booked our Pearl Harbour and Island tour. Both great tours.
This was our first time visiting so we had no idea of location etc. the hotel is close to the beach literally across the street however we found other hotels that are in a less income deprived location on the beach that we would like to check out the next time. The room was smaller than pictured but it served the purpose. The only flaw I would say is the hot water in the shower is mediocre at best. We did enjoy the stay and the staff is very helpful and friendly.
We had a lovely time. Location was good opposite the beach. View from room is car park and not easy to open the curtains. The view from the deck area on level 10 was great. Service was fantastic. No kettle in the room so hard to make a cup of tea. It is also down the zoo end of Waikiki so not exactly central. That suited us. Thank you very much Mark et al.
This place was great for our budget. Had a microwave, fridge, and sink to warm up leftovers. Teddyâs burgers is attached as well as a LGBTQ friendly bar on the second floor. Coffee, ABC store, souvenirs, and beach within walking distance. Beautiful view on the top floor overlooking ocean and mountains.
Lemon street where the parking is off of beside the hotel is a bit sketchy at night. For parking, had to have my spouse drive around while I went in and paid $30/day for parking. Luckily we got into the keypad entry gated lot.
Nice place near the beach, zoo, Diamond Head, etc. We spent time on the beach, walked along Kalakaua Ave past Fort Derussy, visited the zoo, and also hiked up Diamond Head (reservations required). Also took a day trip up the coast and around the North Shore. Saw some of the Billibong Surf Championship at The Banzai Pipeline and Waimea Valley (beautiful!).
Had a dinner at Teddy's Burgers right there in the building. Very good burgers and milkshakes. Also used the laundry downstairs which was clean and quiet.
No view from the windows - just a parking lot and other buildings.
The TV supported my Roku streaming stick (HDMI with USB) so we had access to all our shows.
Manager was friendly and responsive.
Thanks!
Broken elevator, running toilet wouldn't flush, loud exhaust fan, bathtub didn't drain and the cherry on top, no water for 4 hours for the entire building. Just too many things wrong all at the same time...
This suite is in an older hotel in a fabulous location. It is at the south end of the Waikiki strip, across the street from a park and the zoo, and a block from the quietest part of Waikiki Beach. The hotel itself, although older, is comfortable. There are a few stalls for parking available and a laundry room in the basement. The rooms themselves have been remodelled somewhat, but they are a bit tired feeling. This room did not have a door between the toilet/tub and sink - only a curtain, which didn't provide much privacy. The bed was comfortable but a bit on the small side (it's a double bed, not a Queen). The room has a nice kitchenette, with a full sized fridge. The air conditioner had to be on in order to sleep comfortably as the room did get a bit hot without it. It was a bit of a noisy air conditioner. The room overlooked the back area, down upon the pool, which is currently a renovation area. The pool was usable, although the water was a tad cold. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
We chose this unit because of the location, and the pictures looked cute. We loved how close to the beach we were! We got up most mornings and went for a walk on the beach, which is only a block away. There was a monk seal by the Natatorium one morning, hauled out on the beach! There's not much of a view from the window in the room, but the view from the 10th floor lanai can't be beat! I wish we had gotten up there more.
The room is small, but it had everything we needed. (My only complaint was that I kept running into the end of the bed while trying to pass between the sofa and the bed). The bed was super comfy, which was a blessing, there were lots of towels, and great water pressure in the shower. The lighting was good, and there were plenty of outlets to charge all of our devices. The room was very clean, and the AC worked well. What might bother some but didn't bother us is that there is no door between the toilet area and the sink, just a curtain.
The room was quiet - we never really heard others or much street noise. There's a vacuum under the bed, which is helpful when you don't quite get all of the sand off your feet when you leave the beach. And the closet area had lots of hangars.
We did call ahead and reserved a parking stall, since we needed a car to go visit friends and family. The parking area is very small, but we had a small car so it worked out. If you call to reserve a stall, let them know what kind of car you will have so they can be sure it will fit in an available stall. The price per day for parking is much more reasonable than some of the other places.
Overall, the room was just what we needed at the right price.
Suggestions:
1. Add a small cooler that can be used to take drinks and snacks to the beach.
2. Add a little 2 or 3 plastic storage bin in the area under the bathroom sink to put some toiletries in. The space on the counter fills up quickly with 2 people in the room.
Mahalo for your review, Jenny -- The property is, indeed, centrally located to everything you could want or need access to in Waikiki and we are happy to hear that you reaped the benefits of this during your stay :-) You are always welcome back, and hopefully you get to enjoy a longer visit the next time you're in Hawaii. Aloha - The Hawaii Americana Realty Team
Amazing location, short walking distance to the beach
This was a great experience. Super close to the beach, amazing view from the sundeck on the top floor, and listing looked just like it did in the pictures. The only complaint we had was that the hot water didn't work very well in the shower, it was lukewarm most of the time. Overall great stay :)
