Check in was suuuper easy. Apartment was super cute. Nice and clean. Kitchen was the perfect size for one. WiFi was good. The only potential down side is that it was a little loud being right next to a busy street, but that doesn’t really bother me. It’s a great location so worth it.Thanks!

Great location very noisy, loud nights.

Location close to Waikiki beach is great. The unit we stayed has a great balcony and view of the ocean. The problem for us was the street noise. The windows in the unit are old single Payne. They don’t stop any noise so we didn’t sleep much at night.

The best prepared room I have stayed in at the Waikīkī Grand. Plenty of towels which made you feel like you were at home. A very nice touch. We will be back.

Wonderful stay

We loved the location of the hotel-across from the zoo and the beach is ideal. The views from the room are fantastic. We like to keep the windows open but there is traffic noise and you can hear people talking in front of the building at all hours. Otherwise very wonderful stay.

The View!!!

Wake up to an amazing view of the sun coming up to the left behind Diamond Head with the ocean to right. The view never gets old!!! Room ls exactly as advertised, comfortable bed & decor same as pictures. Windows & floors need a good cleaning & a/c squealed really loud one evening but stopped. It is very loud, most coming from daily/nightly traffic, it’s a high traffic area foot & vehicles even on the 7th floor. Most nights I was too tired & it didn’t keep me from sleeping. And make peace with the roosters across the street they will be a vocal part of your vacation, lol. If you anticipate the noise you will enjoy your stay here!!! It’s a little older hotel but I liked it & I picked it for the view & would consider staying here again. The staff was always friendly, approachable & ready to assist you.

Our fabulous stay @ Waikiki Grand the BEST!!

My family and I recently went on a planned trip to Waikiki. Prior to our trip, I asked the family what to their interests were. Everyone wanted to be as close to the beach, local attractions, transportation, and the little ones wanted a pool, most importantly we all wanted a place as safe as possible & economically affordable! I came upon Waikiki Grand Hotel, it has all the above mentioned plus the zoo & a park is across the street, a variety of food restaurants are all around, a locally owned bar onsite,(which is great!) & a burger place. We rented 4 condo’s at the Waikiki Grand, We LOVED Our Stay, it was everything we were looking for, everything was in walking distance! The Staff is Remarkably Friendly, the entire place is clean including the laundry room, security cameras make you feel safe! (Felt like home!) We had a Wonderful time in Waikiki

Thank you WGH/VRBO for your hospitality, & thank you to (our host David for our Condo’s is exceptionally awesome, & attentive to our needs.) We Definitely & Highly Recommend Waikiki Grand Hotel. Exceeded expectation

Location was good to everything. The view of sunrises and sunsets never let us down from the lanai. Only option that would be nice is a juice jug that we could fill with water to put in the fridge.

Great view from balcony!

Great location and beautiful view of Diamond Head to the beach. Had an issue with the sliding door however, the manager had someone come out quickly to fix. Street noise is loud, but otherwise no big issues. Had a great stay!

Too loud!

We had mixed feelings about this one. The location of this unit was good as it was really close to the beach. The bathroom and kitchenette were pretty updated and bed was comfortable. While I expected this unit to be small, the professional photos somehow made it look bigger and brighter than it was. The air conditioner unit is so close to the bed. And the level of noise in this unit was awful. I thought we had accidentally left windows open as you can hear absolutely everything from the very busy street below. There is also a nightclub on the 2nd floor and all the noise from it carries. I was prepared for that with ear plugs, however sleep was really tough even with ear plugs on the busy club nights. We wouldn’t stay here again.

Enjoyed our stay, just a few issues

The studio was as listed. Nice updated kitchen, bathroom and wardrobe. Super close to the beach and lots of shops, restaurants. Bus stop a few steps away. Gorgeous views of the Diamond Head Volcano, beach, sunrises and sunsets! AC was super cool when we arrived but hardly cooling the last night. The street noise was very loud during the night and made it difficult to sleep. They have a original sliding door and old florida louver windows. Sound comes into the building as if you have a window open. The slider is very difficult to operate. If these were replaced, it would make a huge difference. We came back from the beach one day and found standing water in the kitchen sink. Contacted the hotel main desk and owners. The hotel maintenance guy tried to clear the drain but was unable to do so. It was the main vertical drain line for the sinks, affecting the multiple floors. They were unable to get a plumber on-site to clear the drain. (Mostly because of the weekend) It was clogged our last 2 days of our stay.

Great location!

The unit worked out really well for us. The bed was comfortable. The ceiling fan provided air movement and the window air conditioner provided some cool air when needed. Kitchenette was just enough of what we needed. Hopefully some work will be done on the sliding door to the balcony. It is old and when we arrived it DIDN'T move very easily. We could only open it about a foot and would have to slide through it sideways. It was reported to management but they were unable to make it better during our stay. The 2nd floor bar wasn't so much a noise problem, but when patrons would come and go, the street noise was as if they were right outside the window. Street noise is a LOT from 9pm-11/12 (the parking lot across the street has people coming and gong all day long) and then quiet until the bar closed and patrons would leave at 2am and again would be noisy for a short period of time. This also wasn't a problem for us..my spouse slept through it all and I would fall back asleep easily if awakened. Our stay would have been great if the slider worked properly!

PERFECT LOCATION

Location...Location! Right across from the Zoo and the most gorgeous beach!! Perfect for a couple. There were issues in the room though such as lanai door was hard to open and shut...shower water never gets "hot" and the noise from the street at night is not filtered at all..we were woke up a LOT! Overall..its a cute little setting for a week stay.

First time in Waikiki

Access to the Waikiki beach was great. Great view from 7th floor balcony as we could see the ocean, the zoo and Diamond Head. The room was smaller than it looks in the VRBO pics. I was also very noisy at all hours. There is a bar on the second floor that stays open very late. The parking lot across the street is a gathering place for loud cars and mopeds. While we never felt unsafe, it was hard to get a good night's sleep.

Great location - great value

Yes it's small, yes it's noisy at night, but it quietens down after midnight, however location is ideal, and you really can't beat the price. Bring ear plugs if you go to bed early.

Perfect trip

What a wonderful property and location. It was perfect for a short trip with family. The location was right off the beach and it was a quiet area with walking distance to so many things. Right across from the zoo and the beach. The parking that we got was perfect! Highly recommend this little gem for 1-2 people.

Great little place!

Room was small but perfect for a couple weeks and Price was good. Windows were falling apart and patio door worn out hard to open and close. Would have been nice with a few cleaning products so we could clean up as we stayed two weeks. We bought a swifter and some spray cleaner. Over all stayed at this facility 5 times know and is nice and close to everything. Not the ritz but works could use some upgrades!!
