Great apartment, fantastic location

Very spacious and well maintained apartment. Had all the space and amenities we needed for our stay including a private garage for our hired scooter/moped. Highly recommend

Funchal Condo

The condominium that we stayed at in Funchal was very nice. It is an uphill hike of about 2 city blocks from the main street that runs down to the ocean. The location was great for foot travel to the main center of the city and most all of your needs are within a 2 kilometer walk.

Location a challenge for older people

We are very happy in the handling of the booking. The property was ideal but the hill & steps up to the property were challenging,not suitable for an older person unless you get a taxi

Clean and spacious

We stayed for 16 days in Verandas do Funchal. Apartment itself is on the ground floor and large and spacious. Pool is clean with staff cleaning every day. Security isn’t fantastic but this is down to owners not closing the gates properly. There is a very steep hill to walk to town. Anyone with mobility issues would struggle. We found it helped to keep us fit!

Great Funchal Property

My husband and I stayed in the Verandas do Funchal apartment for three weeks in February. It was very clean and comfortable and we especially enjoyed the balcony/patio space. An Island Apart made check in and check out very easy and communication with them was excellent. We also appreciated the weekly cleaning service. Our host, Decio, was extremely responsive when we had trouble with the oven; a new one was installed within a short time. This location is wonderful for exploring Funchal and was quiet at night. The steep hill up to the building could be an issue for those with lessened mobility but didn't bother us. Highly recommend this apartment!

Nice appartment, but we had bad luck

Nice appartment, good kitchen stuff, clean. Nice bathroom and sleeping room. We just had bad luck with some construction workers working on the building while our stay. We were not able to use the balcony, as there were falling dirt and stones on it due to the work. They also started at 8am, so we had no chance to sleep a little bit longer. Nevertheless, I would book it again, as the appartment itself was a great stay.

appartement très bien équipé à 2 pas du centre

côte d'accès à pied depuis le centre un peu raide, mais sinon, très bonne situation géographique. parking privé gratuit au sous-sol pour une voiture. Piscine non chauffée mais propre, appartement très grand avec terrasse pour manger dehors, tout équipé et très fonctionnel. Très calme et agréable.

Loved Madeira

A spacious apartment, some items were a little tired ( the oven) but very clean with a really comfortable bed. Close to shops and restaurants and the cable car to Monte. The staff at AIA were very friendly and accommodating with late check out allowed. They arranged our taxi transfer with a wonderful driver who had loads of local knowledge and provided some great tips for our trip to Madeira. All in all, a wonderful holiday.

Great apartment in a great location

This is my 3rd visit to Madeira and this apartment was spacious and comfortable with all the comforts of home. After 18 days in the apartment and enjoying the weather and the delights of Madeira and Porto Santo, I feel ready to take on the British winter.

Very pleasant stay

The apartment is very clean and comfortable, well located just ten minutes walk from the old town with a bit of a steep hill the last section. Pool area very nice and generally not busy. Apartment was pretty well equipped although kitchen could do with some plastic cups for around the pool and also perhaps some plastic pots for storage. Lounge and balcony very nice and comfy, bedroom had loads of storage space and the mattress was comfy but bed was horribly creaky which affected our sleep quite a lot. It was dreadful! But If there was a new bed we would definitely stay again as it was peaceful and great location!

Vacances réussies au soleil dans un super cadre.

On a passé de super bons moments dans notre aparthôtel de Varandas do Funchal avec un petit bémol cependant concernant le bruit des travaux en cours.

Gréât appartement for a long stay

We stayed here for 3 weeks. The apartment was very functional and clean, centrally located (5m from Funchal old Town and the sea) and has a pool that is cleaned daily. Would recommend!
