Fab Stay

We had a lovely weekend in Brixham topped off by staying in the marina which was quiet and in an excellent location. Liam was a great host and we really appreciated the personal touches.

Boat was cute and compact

It was like glamping on water. It had everything we needed, lovely shower/toilet facilities about 5 minutes away and free parking near by.

A great experience

We enjoyed our stay at the Inspiration. Barbara is a great host , very friendly. It’s located at the secure place in a private marina with lots of nice boats/yachts around. We parked our car at the private car park. The airboat itself has everything you need, it is cozy and warm. I would like to experience something like that again. My love to Barbara, Liam and Pam.

Snug boat pod

The boat pod was very cute and snug. I'm not very tall so the bed size was fine, loved the porthole window there was a cushion to put over it at night and blackout blind for the patio doors so it was dark and amazingly the sound proofing was great. No shower in there had to use the ones in the marina but they were good and very clean. There is a toilet & wash basin but empty soap dispenser. The water pump stopped but was quickly sorted. Same for the toilet I think they forgot to empty it the one day. Didnt use the cooking facilities (microwave & toaster). It was nice to have the small outside with table and 2 chairs to sit outside on to enjoy the sun and have a drink. Fridge inside. Small things could be done to make this better and i sent suggestions to the owner Pam who was lovely and very responsive.

Fantastic short break

The Inspiration is amazing, so cosy and comfortable. Myself and my daughter had a short break over half term and it was great. The place is clean and comfy, and communication was great all the way from booking to check out. Would highly recommend

Unique and fun experience

We really enjoyed our stay on the Insiration, it is very bijou but we soon aclimatised to living in a tiny house. Fortunately we had not taken too much with us, it is not a 'take a suitcase' type of holiday - space is very limited. The location was brilliant, with cormerants fishing outside our door, watching the hussle and bustle of the marina from the window and deck and having the marina facilities so close by. Communication with Liam, the concierge, was excellent and the few small issues we had, such as using the Inspirations water pump system were immediately explained or resolved. The 4* for 'accuracy of listing' was given for the kitchenette area which infact only has a microwave, so cooking is much more limited than description suggests. The 4* for cleanliness is purely for the bedding , the linen was well worn and the actual duvet definately needs replacing. Otherwise we were satisfied with the cleanliness of the pod. The few other little glitches with the interior and facilities are more than made up for by the unique and fun experience of staying on a pod houseboat in an amazing location!

Amazing short break

Came here for a 3 nights break for my partners birthday it was fantastic just the break we needed. Pam and Liam were so helpful and on the ball constantly replied to any messages I had. Did have a slight hiccup when we arrived which wasn't able to be rectified due to it being bank holiday weekend and getting an engineer. But Pam more than made up for it and again Liam too. Thank you for the bottle of wine and a return stay for our inconvenience it is very much appreciated. And the cream tea on arrival was spot on. In a great location with plenty of bars pubs restaurants and cafes. Both lovely lovely people. I would highly recommend the inspiration to anyone as we had such a beautiful relaxing stay and made the best memories here . Thank you for letting us stay Kerry & Richard xxxx

Beautiful unique stay

Owners and staff could not do anymore to make this a fabulous place to stay. Location to Brixham harbour is ideal. Clean and tidy with beautiful views. You don’t want to miss a stay here 😄
