Venez sĂ©journer dans notre charmant chalet au bord du lac, construit par Scott Bernard et Alan Williams, situĂ© sur Parker Pond; un lac limpide, 1500 acres, en eau profonde, calme et Ă  accĂšs limitĂ©. Nous appelons notre retraite Amani, un mot swahili qui signifie paix. Si vous aimez le kayak, les rivages isolĂ©s et les magnifiques sentiers de randonnĂ©e avec des vues Ă  couper le souffle, cet endroit est fait pour vous. Venez pagayer sur les rives tranquilles, explorez des Ăźles boisĂ©es avec des campings, une balançoire et un chalet rustique abandonnĂ©. Venez Ă  l'automne pour les couleurs d'automne les plus Ă©tonnantes dans le centre du Maine, avec des bleuets rouges Ă©clatants sur le littoral. Ce lac abrite des huards, des pygargues Ă  tĂȘte blanche, des truites, des achigan Ă  grande et Ă  petite bouche. Mieux encore, ce chalet bien Ă©quipĂ© a Ă©tĂ© construit sur mesure en 2015 et regorge de caractĂ©ristiques rustiques, d'une dĂ©coration intĂ©rieure exceptionnelle, de lits confortables, de deux cheminĂ©es et d'une vue spectaculaire sur le lac. Apportez votre bateau (jusqu'Ă  19 pieds) et utilisez l'accĂšs privĂ© au bateau, ou utilisez simplement nos 2 kayaks et votre chaloupe Ă  rames en aluminium de 12 pieds. Pros: Nice location! There is a short but rewarding hike right on same street. Lake is absolutely pristine with many islands to explore by kayak. Great house, no traditional heat but a propane fireplace and heater upstairs warmed the entire house. Overall house was very big but cozy and welcoming. Cleanliness also a plus!! I have very bad environmental sensitivities and when I saw this listing allowed dogs I was worried due to past experiences. I brought my personal air purifier for the bedroom but probably didn't even need it. As we were there for the Fall colors we did not get a chance to swim but we all agreed we would absolutely like to return in the summer. Cons: TV placement in living room a bit awkward. Very far away from couch - couldn't read the on screen descriptions etc. Only thing my family didn't like was the clear shower curtain in the tub downstairs - felt it was very "creepy," lol 9.8/10 final score.

Our stay at Parkers Pond

Enjoyed our stay. Interior was very nice. Railing on stairwell should be raised some at top of stairs. Our favorite place to hang out was the screened in porch. We were expecting a little more of a view of pond from house according to the photos on web site.

Summer vacation

The house was clean and beautiful. Water in the lake was clear but, a little shallow at the house but, a short walk down and an area to swim with a swim out dock. Pleasure overall. Great weather!

Spectacular fall getaway

We stayed 4-nights at Holly’s home and I wish we could have stayed longer. The home itself is so warm and welcoming, and architecturally gorgeous. Our first day we had the remnants of a tropical storm and sitting on the screened porch with a cup of coffee, my knitting -listening to the rain on the pond, the loons in the distance, and the smells of the fall air could not have been a better start. The storm cleared and we kayaked, used the outdoor fire pit, hiked at Vaughn woods in Hallowell, picked apples at the apple shed, played games, enjoyed morning coffee on the end of the dock and just really relaxed. It was a beautiful time of year to be in Maine and I would highly recommend a visit to Holly’s home. We hope to be able to stay again. We have rented a lot of homes on VRBO and this was one of our favorites. We all came home feeling so rested and rejuvenated! Thank you Holly for sharing your home!

Amazing experience

Beautiful house- I felt at home the moment I stepped through the door. Fully equipped kitchen, everything you could need on a vacation. Lake views were amazing. Neighbors were fantastic. Owners were super easy to contact. I will be returning in a few months.

A hidden gem!

What an absolute treat it was to stay at this beautiful and cozy cottage on the lake! The photos on VRBO truly don’t do it a justice, it’s just stunning! You have provided us with everything we could have possibly needed to kick back and enjoy quality time together as a family. This cottage will always hold a special place in our hearts. Enjoying a rainstorm while drinking a hot cup of coffee with the love of my life on the beautiful screened in porch. Watching the sunrise together on the dock. Roasting marshmallows over a bonfire. Watching our kids fishing off the dock and playing. Watching beautiful golden falling leaves fall all around us like confetti. Kayaking on the lake. Hiking the trails. This was our first time to Maine and it definitely will not be our last! We really enjoyed exploring the area. We went into Portland one day and visited tons of shops. We went apple picking at the adorable Apple Shed Farm. We relaxed and squeezed in as much family time in as possible. Thank you for sharing this little slice of heaven with us Holly. We’ll be back!

Relaxing Time

Beautiful property. The pond is very clean and offered great fishing. The kayaks and gear that are available to use were easily accessible. The house was very clean and offered most any amenity you would possibly need. My wife especially enjoyed the deep tub. The themed rooms were very nicely decorated with reddish tones throughout, which was very cool. Every day you would notice something really cool that you hadn't seen yet. We went during the week and we were pretty much the only ones on that end of the pond that week, so it was very peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed our stay very much!!

Relaxing Lakeside Vacation with Kids

Had a wonderful stay at this cozy-yet-modern cottage on Parker Pond. VERY kid friendly with high chair and baby gates provided. Saw more loons than people while we were there (mid-September). Beach and dock provide great water access (sandy bottom, not muddy unless you wade out a ways). Spent most of the time letting the kids (1 and 3) play in the water. Nice hiking trails at the headlands preserve at the end of the road. Overall great place, hope to come back again!

Great relaxing getaway

This place was just what the doctor ordered for a quiet getaway. The camp was beautiful ! We spent most of our time sitting on the dock reading and looking down the lake. The screened in porch was great too!

Great Pond front "Camp"

An interesting house with creative lighting and decorations. Having kayaks provided let us get on the very quiet pond on many days. The property manager was very helpful responding to a minor issue. Issue resolved quickly.

Relaxing lakefront vacation

We had a wonderful 2 weeks in this charming, we'll appointed, comfortable cottage on sparkling Parker Pond. As we had our morning coffee on the screened in porch we saw a loon family go by just about every day. Having kayaks to use made our stay even more fun!

Maine Paradise

We absolutely loved this cabin on Parker Pond. It is the quintessential Maine camp on the lake with the feel of old but with all the clean modern touches. The screened porch overlooking lake was my favorite place. Did some exploring of the neighboring area and some of the preserve trails. All in all, a great vacation.

Great week at the pond

Nice relaxing week at the pond. The grandchildren loved fishing and paddle boarding, visiting Dew Haven, and campfires. The cabin was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. We would definitely spend more time here!

Beautiful Fall Getaway

Quiet and restful Parker Pond

This was our second year at this lovely house. Everything was exceptionally clean and prepared for our stay. In these unusual times of COVID 19, we felt totally comfortable and safe in this home. The fishing and weather were great! We look forward to returning to Naine again next year!!
