Rhubarb North - Downtown Anchorage historic restored home

Thank you so much for your feedback. I’ll review the description, but it does mention that it’s a historic duplex built in 1944 with two separate units. I also double-checked the photo—you can see the door to access the unit clearly, while the old front door, which is no longer in use, is partially blocked by a tree. While I restored the duplex with a lot of care, trying to preserve its charm, and added a lot of Alaska Native art, it’s still an older home; I'm really glad you appreciated the location—being so close to everything, including a grocery store and a cozy coffee shop around the corner, which is unique in Anchorage. We are glad you enjoyed the location of our home, and we're sorry that some elements did not match your expectations. We would like to provide some clarification on a few points in your review that were not particularly fair: It’s true, this isn’t a hotel but it is a sweet place that we take great pride in, especially the Alaska artwork which is why we have a security system. The notification system on our doors are set to protect our possessions and artwork. There are no cameras, and we are not monitoring guests, simply trying to keep our home safe. We messaged you because we we're able to tell whether or not you had successfully been able to check in. You mentioned the laundry being open, which it shouldn’t have been. My apologies; it was simple enough for you to turn the key to lock it. We made it clear that this is our home we are renting, and that we have some of our personal possessions in closets; the dressers we empty and there was plenty of available space for your personal effects. Also, I leave items in the pantry and some essentials like milk, eggs and condiments for guest use. After you left your comments, I confirmed that while a couple items had expired, they we still fine for consumption. I try not to waste food. Lastly, you had my contact information and were welcome to reach out to me if you had questions or concerns.
