Upper Alta est un appartement au bord de l'eau accueillant avec des vues spectaculaires sur la mer sur les Kyles de Bute et au-delà. Situé dans le village pittoresque de Tighnabruaich, l'appartement de vacances dispose de deux chambres, idéales pour les familles ou les couples qui recherchent le confort moderne, et une vue sur la mer dans un charmant emplacement côtier.

Intérieur
Chaleureux et accueillant avec une touche moderne, l'appartement récemment rénové dispose d'un coin salon avec des canapés confortables et de grandes fenêtres pour profiter de la vue imprenable sur la mer. De plus, à partir de ce salon et salle à manger décloisonné, profitez du balcon et des vues en constante évolution. Comprend tous vos équipements modernes avec une connexion Wi-Fi gratuite et une télévision connectée avec TNT.

La cuisine bien équipée comprend des appareils modernes, dont une plaque de cuisson à 4 feux, un four, un réfrigérateur / congélateur, un four micro-ondes et un grille-pain. Idéal pour préparer un festin avec de délicieux produits locaux.

Il y a deux chambres spacieuses et bien meublées. Une chambre double principale et une chambre king pouvant être convertie en lits jumeaux. Veuillez demander si vous avez besoin de lits jumeaux. La salle de bains familiale dispose d'une baignoire, d'une douche dans la baignoire et de toilettes.

Il y a un espace de stationnement désigné sur le côté de la propriété, en face de notre garage et un parking gratuit sur la route au bout de l'allée.

Situé dans une position idéale sur le front de mer à Tighnabruaich, fabuleux pour des promenades le long de l'esplanade pour profiter de la vue. À seulement 15 minutes à pied se trouve la rue principale de Tighnabruaich où vous trouverez des artisanats locaux, des cafés et des pubs accueillants.

La côte secrète d'Argyll est riche en histoire des Highlands, parsemée de ruines et d'anciens sites et châteaux. Débordant de lieux à visiter et de choses à faire, promeneurs, cyclistes, marins et artistes sont tous attirés par cette région.

Un peu plus de 6 km se trouve Portavadie, la marina bien connue, avec un spa de loisirs, une piscine intérieure, une piscine extérieure à débordement, un jacuzzi et 3 restaurants. En outre, vous pouvez prendre le court trajet en ferry de Colintraive à l'île de Bute avec sa maison historique et ses jardins, le mont Stuart.

Stunning location

Location was great for visiting the area. Views were stunning. Comfortable sofas and beds. Some dog hair left from previous guest mostly on entrance rug.

Amazing views. Very comfortable, fabulous lounge, dining area and main bedroom. Can't understand why it's not fully booked over the summer. Very quiet area, great to really switch off and spend time walking or with the binoculars.

Apartment with stunning views!

First impression was a light and airy feel to the apartment. Every room was very clean and comfortable with everything we needed for us to self cater in the kitchen and entertain in the sitting room with games and jigsaws for rainy days. The apartment was on the first floor with stunning views across of the Kyles of Bute and beyond, and even binoculars to look at the otter and porpoises that we spotted from the window! Walking along to Tighnabuiach village was an easy 20 mins on the flat seaside road, with access to shops, cafes and an Indian restaurant. Fyne Raja was excellent if you like Indian food. The Premier grocery shop was not so premier though and if you have a car it is worth going to the Kames Store! On Saturday we were able to stop and watch a shinty match too. Highly recommend this lovely apartment.

Felt perfectly at home

We had a wonderful time staying at Upper Alta and were sad to leave. The stunning view left us speechless. A very tranquil, relaxing and homely environment to stay in. If we ever get the chance, we'd love to come back.

Stunning views

A very comfortable holiday home. Stunning views. Great place for walks and exploring, e.g. the arch and giant chair. Great to watch herons and oyster catchers at the water edge. Lovely cakes from Wild Kitchen and locally roasted coffee. Would definitely recommend.

A high quality apartment in a stunning location

Upper Alta is a very comfortable, clean and well equipped apartment, ideally located for exploring the delights of southern Argyll and Bute. The property overlooks the Kyles of Bute and we spent many hours watching the sea, scenery and wildlife. There is plenty of information on places to visit and walks to enjoy in the region which was very helpful. The Isle of Bute is easily reached by a short ferry crossing and is well worth a visit. We would definitely recommend Upper Alta and we hope to return on a future holiday.

Upper Alta, Tighnabruaich

We spent the first week of September 2023 in Upper Alta and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Upper Alta is a lovely apartment in a beautiful location and has stunning views. The apartment is very comfortable, thoughtfully organised, well-equipped, nicely decorated, and impeccably clean. We especially appreciated the fact that we were able to bring our little dog, who had a wonderful time. We wouldn’t hesitate to make a return booking.

Peaceful stay at Upper Alta

We had a wonderful few nights here. The view and location are magnificent! The owners have done a brilliant job. The apartment just felt like home from home and so comfortable. I must congratulate them on buying such a comfortable mattress in the front bedroom. So many rental properties are let down by poor quality mattresses and I think it’s such an important part of a holiday break. It made a real difference and I came away feeling totally rested. Thank you. One thing you could do with is a separate chopping board for onions and garlic as I don’t like to use the wooden boards as it leaves the smell. Apart from that this place is just the best and we hope to return one day. Also a shame lots of places locally were shut but the Kames grocery shop saved the day!

Excellent accomodation in a quiet and peaceful location.

We stayed at Upper Alta a couple of weeks ago and enjoyed all aspects of our 5 night stay (apart from the varible weather!) As previously, the accomodation was clean throughout and everything we needed was provided. Access to the accomodation is up an outside flight of steps to the first floor so may not be suitable for those with limited mobility. Also note that parts of the driveway can be quite slippery in places when wet. Although we stayed as a couple, the second bedroom will comfortably accomodate two adults or children. A travel cot fora very young child would probably fit in the second bedroom but it would more easily fit in the main bedroom. Views from the loung/dining of the west kyle and upper Bute are excellent and the small balcony is a very pleasant place to sit and watch the boats go by! Surrounding area is good for walking athough car transport is the only realistic option to travel further afield since the bus service is infrequent.

wundervoller Ausblick

Wir waren 3 Erwachsene die eine Woche in der Ferienwohnung waren um diese Region Schottlands zu erkunden. Einige Wanderungen und Besuche von Sehenswürdigkeiten waren geplant. Leider machte uns das Wetter einen gewaltigen Strich durch unsere Rechnung. Die Wanderungen fielen buchstäblich ins Wasser. Trotz dieser Unannehmlichkeiten habe wir uns in Tighnabruaich und der Region sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Wohnung war angenehm hell und sauber. An die fehlende Steckdose in vielen schottischen Badezimmern werde ich mich auch noch irgendwann gewöhnen. Alles in Allem ein schöner Aufenthalt. Unbedingt Mount Stuart House auf der Insel Bute besuchen, es lohnt sich.

A comfortable week in the Kyles of Bute

We stayed at Upper Alta as a couple and found the accomodation to be clean and comfortable. Although the lounge and front bedroom window overlooking the Kyles provided excellent views, the addion of the liitle balcony was a delight especially as we had good weather all week. The central heating control took some getting used to although we only needed to warm the towel rail in the bedroom since the weather was warm enough without turning on the radiators. The flat was spacious for two but could have accomodated four adults providing the bathroom rota was well organised! Arrival info could be modified to indicate that the gatepost is the one at the back of the house at the bottom of the stairs leading up to the flat. Drive quite steep and might be rather slippery in some conditions and/or with some vehicles. Overall, a comfortable and enyoyable break in a quiet and peaceful location - we will definitely book again.

Alles was wir für einen erholsamen Urlaub brauchten haben wir in Tighnabruaich gefunden. Einen wunderschönen Blick vom Balkon über den Kyles of Bute. Jeden Tag hat uns das Licht unterschiedlichste Farbnuancen beschert. Ein kleiner Spaziergang von 20 Minuten entfernt läßt sich ein kleiner Supermarkt und zwei liebevoll gestaltete Cafe's finden. Ein paar Schritte den Hang hinauf kann lecker im Hotel des Ortes gespeist werden mit Blick auf die Bucht. Ein paar Mailen durchs Land mit dem Auto und ein zwanzig Minütiger Walk entfernt kann Strandleben genossen werden in der Kilbride bay. Hier geht das Ufer sanft ins Meer so dass das Wasser an der Oberfläche warm genug ist um ohne Neopren Anzug schwimmen zu gehen. Auf dem Rückweg können kleine Snacks an einer Hütte am Bauernhof genossen werden. Zurück in der Ferienwohnung Upper Alta finden wir alles was wir zum Kochen benötigen um uns selbst zu versorgen. Sogar eine Waschmaschine steht bereit. Neben dem Haus kann eine Holzterasse genutzt werden mit Blick auf den Kyle. Die Betten sind angenehm und die Einrichtung schön aufeinander abgestimmt. Wer mag setzt sich an kühlen Abenden an das Kaminfeuer(mit Feuerimitat u Heizlüfter). Auf dem Kyle ist immer etwas zu beobachten, der Wassersport, die Seevögel... ein Fernglas liegt ebenfalls bereit. Hier wurde an wirklich alles gedacht. Es lohnt sich einen Ausflug nach Tabert oder auf die Insel Bute zu unternehmen. Schön sind auch die Wege im Ort in Richtung Leuchturm oder hoch zur Straße.

Beautiful view in very quiet location

As above- tucked away near the end of dead end road by the shore, gorgeous views. Apartment was clean, light, spacious, well appointed with for instance all the kitchen utensils you might need. Easy to walk to local bus service and to access walks and ferries.
