The Pines At Mayhill

Notre cabine est une escapade tranquille, dans un petit quartier derriÚre le célÚbre Mayhill Cafe sur l'autoroute 82. Une chambre avec un canapé-lit supplémentaire et un futon dans le salon. Nous avons un grand pont couvert, il offre une vue agréable et une salle de vie extérieure pour manger en plein air et barbecue. Mayhill est une escapade fraßche de la chaleur de l'été dans la montagne. Nous offrons un excellent endroit pour partir de tout. Détendez-vous, profitez de la faune, regardez les étoiles la nuit. Nous sommes un paradis pour les stargazers Nous sommes loin de toutes les lumiÚres de la ville, les étoiles ont l'air de pouvoir les atteindre et les toucher. Détendez-vous sur les hamacs, dßnez sur le patio, débranchez-vous et détendez-vous. Nous sommes à 17 miles de Cloudcroft et à environ une heure d'Artesia, un peu plus loin de Carlsbad et Roswell. Pour arriver à notre cabine, prenez l'autoroute 82 est de Cloudcroft, entrez dans Mayhill, passez devant le Mayhill Cafe, tournez à droite sur South Pine, suivez la courbe, passez Cedar, passez l'allée sur votre droite, tournez à droite sur Juniper, la route se sépare, prenez le cÎté droit de la fourche, nous sommes la troisiÚme maison à droite sur Juniper. Tournez à droite dans l'allée. Garez-vous dans l'allée ou dans l'aire de stationnement sous le pont. Sortir de la propriété au fond du lot, à travers l'allée. Ceci est une zone de chasse de choix pour Elk, Deer, Turquie.

This place is rural and rustic. If you like quiet and sitting on a nice deck in cool temperatures and seeing quite a few deer up close this place is great. Very relaxing. Best to bring your own food closest grocery about 25 mi. This is our second time to stay here so we already knew all this.

Hunting trip stay

Great value! Just need a place to eat, sleep and cleanup during our hunt. Quiet location. Close to Mayhill store and restaurant.

We loved how quiet and peaceful this property is! It was so pleasant. The pullout sofa & futon were more comfortable than expected. And the cabin is such a nice size. When staying here, if you have the opportunity, stop into the Mayhill Cafe. Overall, if we were back in the area, we'd definitely stay here again.

Great stay

We were here to hunt, and we had a wonderful time up and down the mountains chasing turkeys; a couple of the turkeys even came back to stay with us. It was nice to come back to a place that met all our needs. We like people and met some neighbors. Nice folks in the area; I felt like we were at home. If you are looking for a place to stay for hunting, trail running, hiking, etc., I recommend this property.

Another Wonderful Stay

This was our 2nd Annual Fourth of July stay at The Pines. It's absolutely perfect for us. Has everything we need! The large front porch is just the best!...for meals, games, and coffee in the morning. Mike was great and very helpful. Can't wait until next year!!

The perfect place!

We couldn’t have asked for a better place to be. The cabin was exactly what we needed. We loved sitting on the covered porch watching the wildlife and enjoying the peace & quiet. The cabin has everything you need. We’ll definitely be coming back!! Thank you for being so accommodating!!

Perfect for us

We needed place close to be with friends. A place to sleep. If you need a place to hang out, might not fit ur needs, but it did fit ours. Only problem we had was the coffee pot, lol. We brought coffee, filters and bottled water. 1st pot was undrinkable. Ran 3 pots with just water, better, but not the best. IMO if the only thing ya find wrong is coffee pot
..? You want bells & whistles, look elsewhere. You need a place to sleep & shower, fit our needs!

Cabin was very spacious and comfortable. Access was a little challenging. Knew we needed to arrive in daylight from other comments. Even after finding it OK first time, we missed the fork that evening and had to back way down narrow gravel road to make the turn. Door pad was also a little challenging. Need to tap it very hard to make the keypad show up. Also, we had to message host on next to last day to reactivate our code as it was saying ours was invalid. Again cabin itself was fine and overall we enjoyed our stay.

Did not stay when I saw the place

I did not stay at the cabin due to having a hard time finding it and when I did find it the area did not appear safe. I took my daughter's back to it and took the wrong road, we were on the next road close to the cabin and a man come out telling us we best get out of there. I was staying alone so I just did not feel safe staying there. The area around it was very junkie and not pretty what so ever at least it wasn't to us. I lost my money but I would have been very nervous staying there alone. I had no service so I couldn't get to the code to even go in and look at the cabin. The cabin itself did appear clean.

Comfortable to rent for a short period of time .

I wish property had TV . Better internet. The place needs a new bed in bedroom very uncomfortable. The inside was clean . The kitchen had enough cookware and dinnerware very appreciative of that. I didn’t try the fold outs in the living room but I thought they looked good and were comfortable setting on them. The decor was nice hunting atmosphere. The deck was great enjoyed it over a beer and cocktail in the evenings. Overall a good stay .

Can't recommend

The little house is in a run down neighborhood. The bed, sleeper sofa and futon are old & hard to sleep on. The house & towels smelled dirty. I had to reclean the floors because they had been cleaned with a dirty mop & w were sticky. Only 1 partial roll of TP for a week's stay. All the cabinets & doorknobs were sticky from not being cleaned. The host is very nice and accessible. I had to cancel the 1st time we booked and received a full refund. Unfortunately, we can't recommend the house.

Relaxing porch swings

The cabin was nice, bed was comfortable, and owner was very helpful. There were wonderful porch swinging chairs. We enjoyed sitting on the porch reading and watching deer.

Spring Turkey base camp

A great quiet place to relax. Me, my dad and a close friend of mine rented this cabin to stay in while Turkey hunting. Priceless memories made. Lord willing, We will definitely be back!

Peace and Quiet

I was looking for some peace and quiet away from home and pandemic life. I found it at this property in Mayhill. The property was clean and plenty of space for just me. There was WiFi and a TV with Netflix, but I mostly enjoyed having coffee and reading on the deck. I arrived in the middle of a horrible wind storm that had knocked the power out, but Mike was available when I called and he reached out to the power company immediately, and they were able to restore power within an hour or so. I would definitely stay again.

I purchased this property because of the peaceful and tranquil location. I found a cabin that needed some work and envisioned what it would look like with a nice big deck to enjoy the view outside. I thought it would be a perfect place for hunters and outdoor enthusiasts or just a great place to get away from it all.

Peaceful and tranquil. Get place to get away from it all and unwind. Close to many hiking, atv and hunting trails in the Lincoln National forest.
