We had a lovely holiday. The accommodation was superb. It is situated in a very beautiful place, and the owners were very welcoming. We didn't want to leave.

A lovely comfortable holiday accommodation.

A lovely comfortable holiday accommodation. All the facilities were first class and in excellent condition. Sadly during our stay the rain was continuous which limited exploration of the countryside. Hopefully the sun shines next time.

Wonderful cottage

The cottage was amazing and very well equipped, spotlessly clean and modern but very comfortable, with a very welcome selection of treats waiting for us. We know the area well so it was the perfect location for us to do a bit more discovering of Dumfries and Galloway. Would certainly recommend the cottage and we hope to get there again.

We had a lovely long weekend at The Swallows.

We had a lovely long weekend at The Swallows. The barn has been beautifully renovated and was very well equipped and furnished with a lovely modern cottage feel. The owners were extremely helpful and their welcome gift was an extra surprise, and very much enjoyed. The dogs loved curling up in front of the log fire and sniffing around in the garden, as well as watching all the birds who visited the garden. We went away to relax and de-stress and The Swallows was the perfect location ☺️

Spacious welcoming cottage

The property is much more spacious than described and is well appointed for an extended stay. The fixtures and fittings are of good quality and there is everything provided that you could need.It is located in a very quiet area, you do need transport to move around but local amenities are only a short drive away. Stunning area with lots to see.

Wonderful

Lovely cottage, very clean and comfortable, with everything you need. Friendly owners who left some absolutely delicious treats for us. Did some walks in the area with the dog, amazing scenery and a visit to the nearby ice cream farm finished it very nicely. We loved Kirkcudbright and also called at Castle Douglas on the way home, both small towns with lots of individual shops.

This is a very comfortable and well equipped rental home.

This is a very comfortable and well equipped rental home. The owners, Graham and Penny, are very helpful and thoughtful - but never intrusive. The location is, of course, off the beaten track but if this is the area you are exploring then it is ideal. There is plenty of the great outdoors to explore. But you will also be very snug if staying indoors.

Highly recommend Swallows

Simply one of the best cottages we have stayed in. Spotlessly clean. High quality furnishings including THE most comfortable bed!! Everything you might need has been provided. The lovely hosts who live in main house are unobtrusive but there if you need them. Very generous welcome pack. Dogs made very welcome. Lovely countryside with Brighouse Bay not too far away for beach walks.
