Beautiful quiet neighborhood, the house was super clean. My kids loved the bunk beds and sandy beach area in backyard. I would definitely stay again!!

Very nice vacation home

The house was lovely, clean, and was exactly as pictured. The huge kitchen was definitely an asset. The best part for the kids was the pool. The only negative was the mosquitos were horrible in the afternoon and early evening.

We were in town for a concert on the boardwalk. Location was good for ubers back and forth at a reasonable rate. The property was great! Loved having the deck and pool. Living area was very spacious

My family stayed at this house over Labor Day. It’s a very nice house and the location was great for us. Level of cleanliness is to be desired and bricks around pool were loose.

Great vacation home

The house was a beautiful layout. Bedrooms were good size to fit our family of 6. Quiet location, yet close to everything. Just a short drive to anything you want or need. House appeared clean. But the kitchen floor was not. Could use some touching up of paint, and such.Pool was great and my daughters kayaked in the canal! We will return.

This is a nice house, context, we rent 5 to 6 x a year. It has the essentials for sure, but hubby and I both agreed that it was the views that stole our hearts! During our stay there it was too cold for the pool but he did jump in once! Lol I’d recommend this house to friends

Great great property. Spectacular backyard. Lots of privacy. Quiet street. Good views.Quiet.

We loved staying at Doug's house despite the potential hurricane that was or was not coming to OCMD. Despite the not so great weather, we thoroughly enjoyed the time at his house. It is well maintained and everything was spelled out w/ labels on lights, remotes, etc. The stay was great for our family and our little one who enjoyed playing in the sand and relaxing in the pool. Unlike other reviews, we did not notice an abudance of food or clothes in the house from which I believe that is no longer a concern. We hope to stay again in the foreseeable future.

This was our 13th annual trip to OCMD and it was an experience with Hurricane Erin. The house is beautiful. We loved the backyard with the pool. We used it every day (when it wasn’t raining). The house is waterfront and because of the hurricane the flooding was crazy. People were kayaking down the road. The vibe that I got from the neighbors was that they don’t like renters/ out of towners. They were so unfriendly and did not seem like dog people. Overall I would recommend this house. Doug was easy to talk to and easy to get in touch with.

Overall pleased with the rental. Pool was not clean and had not been cleaned prior to our arrival. Contacted Doug and he said he would contact the pool co. It was a holiday weekend and they did not show. Disappointing because the pool was one of the reasons for the rental. House towels were very small and no kitchen towels. Location was perfect

Best Mother’s Day weekend ever!

Doug’s place was exactly as described. It’s like a little oasis. The outdoor space was perfect. We floated in the pool, relaxed by the fire pit, grilled up some local seafood on the grill, and enjoyed meals out on the deck. The area was clean and everything functioned as it should. Doug was very friendly, responsive and accommodating. I was so impressed with his swift responses. The beds and pillows were very comfy. And the living space was clean and comfortable as well. This house was the perfect stay for Mother’s Day weekend. Even Luna the dog loved it. Met some friendly neighbors as the were floating past us on the canal. We even got to see some fun wildlife including great horned owl that visited us the first night.

Great house, great yard/outside area, great location!

We spend some time in OCMD every summer and this was our first staying in West OCMD. The location is great. Everything we needed was within a very short 5min drive. Nice quiet neighborhood on the canals. The house was great. Clean, well maintained. The back yard is really impressive. An in-ground pool, large deck, a dock, sand area with fire-pit, and a lounging area with hammock swings. The front porch looks over the bay and into OC. Great views! Quick and easy contact with the owner. If you want to drive over the bridge to the main part of OC, it's only a short 5-10 min drive. But really, almost everything you need (excluding the boardwalk) is also located in West OCMD. Great restaurants, go-carts, breweries, shopping, The Fractured Prune.... all just a very short drive from the house. Lots of mosquitoes on the canals so be sure to pack plenty of Off spray and citronella candles. We definitely plan on staying here again!

Lovely Private Pool

The good points of the home: - private pool is awesome. It’s not heated but that didn’t bother the kids. Nice to have pool towels provided. - sheets and towels come with the rental - tp and pt came with the rental - close to shopping and restaurants - quiet neighborhood Areas of improvement: - the AC does not work , like at all. Luckily we were there Memorial Day so the outside temp wasn’t too high but it was cooler outside than in. I had to run out and purchase fans. The owner didn’t seem surprised by this or all that concerned. - bath towels are tiny - not enough tp was supplied for long weekend with 5 people using the bathrooms. Had to go purchase some. - not everything in the description of the home was true to life

The AC issue was resolved -- This was one of the first weekends with warmer weather, and the first time the AC was used....I had the HVAC company come out and fix it as soon as they could, this was on the day of departure

This property served my family well during our stay in Ocean City. It was clean and the host was very responsive to our needs. We had a young child with us, and there was much for us to do together right there where we stayed - a pool to use, a sand area to play in, plenty of outdoor gathering spaces, and a waterway at the back of the property that allowed us to do some fishing and crabbing. Indoor spaces were comfortable and accommodating. I would highly recommend this lovely site as a lovely vacation getaway.

Nice place but cleanliness was an issue.

The house is nicely laid out, pool is nice to have. There were not enough sheets for the beds, blankets/comforters missing from almost every bed, ants in kitchen, dishwasher had dirty dishes in it, garbage full with recycling and garbage mixed in from previous renter. The cleaning crew did NOT clean the toilets. It was quite disgusting!!! Generally speaking the cleaning was not good. Dog hair all over the couch. The neighbors are not fans of renters. Apparently the house was a big party house and pissed off the whole neighborhood. Oh. And a leftover cake was in the freezer. Not worth what I paid !!!! Will not rent again.

OC gem

We just stayed for the 3rd year. The house is great for 4-6 people. The pool is definitely the highlight. Also, my boys love crabbing and fishing off the dock. They don't catch much but fills the time. Beach/San area with chairs if also great. Make sure you bring bug spray, though, because the mosquitoes are vicious in the afternoon/eve. The only non ideal thing is the TV. It is a Roku (?) system and we've yet to really figure out how to watch what we want. The owner is great to work with and very responsive.

Fantastic house!

House is fantastic for spending time with family and friends. The pool, fire pit, and decks allow for great gathering places outside with canal out back ( even caught a few crabs) and open kitchen/ family room for hanging out indoors and making meals. Even my dog loved laying on the deck and watching the ducks swim in the canal. Very close to beach/ boardwalk and restaurants/ shops, while also being removed from the crowds. We will definitely be making this VRBO a regular stay!

Relaxing Oasis

NOT worth the $

Check in was easy, the place was not clean. Comforters dirty. We walked into wet clothes in the dryer, a full load of dishes in the dishwasher to put away on our off season $4k for 10 days. Stains on rugs, couch. Kitchen is ill equipped. 4 mugs, just large plates, no small bowls/plates . 2 wine glasses. The cookware was so disgusting it had flakes falling off it. No knifes that work. This is NOT a working kitchen. In your invite PDF, tje grille is “tricky” NO it’s not tricky, it does not work. Two burners at best work, and you’ll need to buy your own thermometer as they don’t have one and the grille is does not actually work. SO, we end up buying cookware/knives from home goods to get buy. No dish drain… so you Jane to run the dishwasher for. I reason because they do t stock the house wotj what they should at this price point. This is a definite skip until they make the proper changes. Oh.. I failed to mention. When it rains, it floods. We couldn’t get out for two days. Thank goodness we had had food we didn’t need to cook on the grille.
