Que ce soit pour venir pêcher (Bass Master Champions est resté avec nous) beau lac Guntersville ou tout simplement besoin de s'éloigner de tout, se détendre dans l'une de nos belles cabanes en face du lac sur Chalakee Ranch! Endroit paisible niché le long des bois et encore à seulement 5 minutes de la ville, des boutiques, des restaurants, et pour le pêcheur, la rampe de lancement et la plupart des pesées sont à moins d'un mile away. Un cadre idéal pour se frayer un chemin à partir d'un ranch de Paso Fino Horse. Cabines magnifiquement aménagées. Venez juste lire et vous détendre, pêcher, faire du bateau, profiter de la vie sauvage, et profiter des chevaux (Equine Experience disponible pour un supplément) Vous pouvez même apporter votre cheval et profiter de tous les merveilleux sentiers que Guntersville a à offrir.(et fido est la bienvenue aussi)

Great cabin for the perfect getaway on an active horse ranch, with lake and pond steps away. Felt quiet and secluded, yet just minutes from town and only 45 min from Huntsville. Host were fast to respond and gave great local recommendations. On site staff were also very friendly. Would highly recommend!

Anniversary trip

We wanted a cozy little getaway for our anniversary. It was very cozy and close to the water. Plenty of room for the pups to run and lots of local activities and great places to eat. It was a lovely trip.

Exactly what I needed.

Great location and cabin. It’s close enough to town that everything I needed to do was still convenient but still secluded enough that I didn’t have to worry about running out into the street or bothering anyone. Will def stay again.

Quite and convenient

Property is peaceful with convenience to water and places to eat as well as shop. Enjoy the fact that it is pet friendly. Pollen was heavy on the porch and seats but it is that time of the season. Did enjoy the quiet time and communication with the hostess. Will stay again.

Cozy Guntersville cabin on a Horse Ranch - Where the Mountains meet the Lake

This small cabin was beautiful on the inside with good enough A/C and comfortable beds. The parking was great for our truck and bass-boat. The host gave us great advice on nearby boat ramps, restaurants, and fun things to do. We will be back to stay again.

Country cottage

Cute cottage, needs some updates. Good for a couple or small family of 4. During our stay cottage was musty, no working wifi, and ceiling fans in need of a good dusting.

Peaceful

The definition of pastoral. Quaint 1BR cabin nestled in a tree lined valley on a horse farm with a goose-filled pond. If you need some peace and quiet this is a place for you. Oh, and Guntersville Lake is right across the street! Give it a try - Anita, the host is great!

Weekend girls getaway

The cabin was cozy and comfortable for an impromptu trip. The kitchen is compact but we knew that in advance and planned accordingly. We enjoyed the screened porch and the lovely peaceful view across the horse pasture. There is a bedroom, a sleeping nook and a pull- out couch, so we each had our own bed. We had a great time. Thank you!

Cozy Cottage

Pastoral setting. The screen porch and outdoor BBQ area overlooks horses grazing on the same property. Mike checked in on us as we were unpacking and gave us information and offered help if any need arose. For the 2 of us the cottage was the perfect size and had all the boxes checked for a comfortable 2 night stay (that was ours) or longer. We enjoy quiet and less crowds and this was the right place for us.

Tranquil Setting

What a wonderful place to unplug and unwind. We found the cabin clean and neat, but the location was the absolute selling point of this place. To look out the windows and see the pastures with horses, so quiet, and right across the street from the Lake. I enjoyed my morning walks across the street to watch the sun rise, and petting the horses that came the fence as I walked by. However, it's close to everything - we visited Cathedral Caverns, and went ziplining at Guntersville State Park. It's close to great places to eat like Craw-Mamas and Brick Bar and Grill. We would definitely stay here again if visiting Guntersville.

Pros: The outside views are wonderful. The cabin is nestled on the backside of a working horse farm. We had great views of the horses, pond with many Canadian Geese, and saw several deer. I'm sure there's a deer trail beside and behind the cabin. There was even a bit of a view of the lake across the road. Initial communication with the host was good and they were kind enough to accommodate an early check-in. We even enjoyed the window bed in the living room for afternoon naps and sitting to catch a view of the sun rising over the lake in the mornings.CONS:-There was an odor, maybe from the cabin being closed up and stuffy when not in use. There were air fresheners sitting about, but we found the need to use additional plugins.-The screened in porch was dirty with lots of cobwebs, holes in the screens and the door seemed to be falling apart. -The exterior side of all of the windows were very dirty and full of cobwebs, as well. We enjoyed the view so this was something very noticeable when we tried to look out. -There is no comfortable seating on the screened porch or outside, so I'd suggest bringing your own camp chairs. -The couch seemed worn and past its prime.-Communication with the host was great at first, but when we headed out to dinner we discovered the lock on the door did not work and my message regarding that was not returned. That being said, we would stay again. We would just know a little better how to prepare next time.

Like it but it needs to be cleared

Convenient, peaceful

Short stay due to volleyball tournament but was everything we needed! Very close to the sport courts, quiet, clean and comfy. Walked the property, visited with horses and walked across the street to the lake too. Wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy it more. Only minor complaint is to update the cabin window box A/C, as it took until about 5 am to finally get comfortable to need a blanket. Would definitely stay here again!

Wasn’t clean or functional

1. The cabin was musty and smelled 2. The little air conditioner didn’t cool enough 3. The beds were not comfortable and the headboard in the bedroom smelled like a rancid armpit 4. The stove was non functioning 5. Tons of cobwebs on the porch 6. Cabin manager did not answer phone and voicemail was full 7. Not enough toilet paper for our six night stay 8. It smelled like CAT We left 2 nights early
