Our family had an amazing time at Villa Virginia

Our family had an amazing time at Villa Virginia. The photos do not capture the breathtaking views. There was plenty of room for our big family to enjoy this property. I’m so glad Carmela [the caretaker] was there every morning to clean the pool and whatever else was needed also to help with questions we had about the villa. Carmela did a great job! We decided to book with you because we needed a large property to accommodate us and also the fact that Summer In Italy and his team were very professional and responded to our inquiries in a timely manner. Overall a great experience!!!

We loved our stay in Villa Virginia. It was everything we wanted and more. The space, the rooms, the view and the pool were all perfect. It was also great to escape the heat in the efficient air conditioning. The host was very commutative and we were well looked after by Carmela. The town of Santa Maria del Castellabate was a lovely little town to walk round and we found many different beaches to visit. Thank you for an amazing holiday.

This was our second stay at Villa Virginia. We returned due to the amazing location, wonderful property and the amazing Carmela who ensures that guests stays are stress free and enjoyable. We'll be heading back for a third stay soon! Very smooth and easy

We absolutely loved our stay at Villa Virginia

We absolutely loved our stay at Villa Virginia. It was everything we needed for our holiday with extended family. We loved the pool, the view, the space and also really appreciated the efficient air conditioning to escape the heat. There were different spaces for people to chill out but great areas for us all to be together. Carmela [the caretaker] was lovely and came in most days to sort the pool, the recycling and change towels etc. Summer in Italy were very communicative from booking and throughout our stay and answered all our questions. We would thoroughly recommend both Villa Virginia and Summer in Italy. Summer in Italy were great. I had no knowledge of the company so booked through Vrbo but should I should have gone direct. They answered all questions quickly and efficiently and contacted regularly with information and details about the booking. I would certainly recommend them and would use them again.

This villa was absolutely amazing

This villa was absolutely amazing. It was clean, very comfortable, and communication was clear and easy. Not to mention the incredible view and pool. We were very sad to have to leave. Working with Summer In Italy was so smooth and easy. We will absolutely be using them again!

Our family loved our stay at Villa Virginia

Our family loved our stay at Villa Virginia! The house was beautiful, the view amazing and the caretaker Carmela made sure our stay was perfect. Carmela prepared an amazing breakfast for us every morning and made sure we had all we needed to make our stay comfortable. The road up to the house is definitely both beautiful and a bit of a nail bitter as one who is not a fan of heights. However it is so worth it!! We went into town several days and others traveled by train for day trips into Naples and Amalfi. You will for sure need a car while there and Summer in Italy was able to recommend a place for that. We used Franco to pick us up at the train station and for other outings when we did not want to take cars down the hill. He was fantastic and knowledgeable. We would 100% use Summer in Italy again when we travel back to Italy.

Villa Virginia is amazing and wonderful

Villa Virginia is amazing and wonderful! We were a group of 12 that enjoyed every minute of our stay there. The view is spectacular, the rooms spacious and very comfortable, the pool divine! Villa Virginia is a little piece of heaven in a magical Italian location. I just booked my third villa with Summer In Italy! I cannot say enough about how great you are: the support, recommendations, communication, patience... I've recommended you to many friends! Santa Maria di Castellabate is a major discovery... I just worry it will be "discovered" by too many people!! I cannot praise and thank you enough for the gift you've given my family of magical trips to our beloved Italy!

This was our second stay in Villa Virginia, twelve years after the first one

This was our second stay in Villa Virginia, twelve years after the first one. Not much has changed, except maybe some electrical improvements. It is still the wonderful place we remembered, and I am very glad that we chose it for our family and friends. Santa Maria di Castellabate is wonderful, the villa is incredibly comfortable, and the views are amazing. I want to thank Carmela [the caretaker] especially, for taking great care of the villa and of all of us, and for cooking absolutely delicious meals when requested ahead. I hope we won't wait as long to come back again. It was a magical experience. Communication with Summer In Italy was always easy, and their responses were prompt and informative. They took care of all our requests with a great customer service spirit. Having rented more than one property from them, I am confident of their quality, and I would not hesitate to rent from them again.

We returned to Villa Virginia and have to say that it has held up very well through the years

We returned to Villa Virginia and have to say that it has held up very well through the years. It has been impeccably maintained, is comfortable and offers everything a group or family needs to have a great stay. The views are stunning (we always make sure we are home for sunset!) and having the pool right outside the door is convenient (no levels of terraces and steps to navigate, just out and plunge!). There is plenty of outdoor space that includes terraces around the pool and upstairs off the two front bedrooms (the best views are from those rooms!). There is a nice gazebo with arbor for shady space (just use some mosquito spray or one of the citronella spirals you light). Everything is still in great shape and the caretaker was kind and attentive. I use Summer In Italy regularly and as always, the descriptions matched perfectly, the service was available and Luca answered all our questions, made sure we were happy, and when I left two items behind, he contacted the caretaker to locate them and send them to me. That's service! :)

This is the nicest villa we have rented as three families for some years

This is the nicest villa we have rented as three families for some years. Group ranged from 17 to 54 years. Lots of space and bathrooms for everyone, immaculately clean and kept so by Elvira [the caretaker] all week. She was lovely and so helpful as well as keeping everything clean and tidy. The view is spectacular and the villa is a 13 min walk to the supermarket, 20 min or so into town. It is a steep walk back up the hill so not for the unfit (you cannot get that view without it) but we walked into town for dinner several nights and found the walk back did us good. We did get Marco to take us out and pick us up one evening as well. The food in the area is superb and everyone is very friendly and helpful. It is such a pretty place with a friendly family buzzy vibe to it, lots of super shops and great choice of places to eat. We loved it and would like to come back and do more exploring. Thoroughly recommend this villa as a place to stay. Nothing to improve - great service and good contact from Summer In Italy. Thank you.

Our month in Villa Virginia, with family and friends visiting throughout our stay, was superb

Our month in Villa Virginia, with family and friends visiting throughout our stay, was superb. The quality of the property, the high standard of all the fittings and furniture, the thoughtful way the rooms are decorated, the cleaning and laundry service provided, the spectacular views and the ease of access to Castellabate, Santa Maria di Castellabate and coastal areas and towns north and south made it a great trip for everyone. There are excellent restaurants to explore nearby and the proximity of the very good shops in Santa Maria made all our dining experiences terrific. Most of all our visit was supported and enhanced by the lovely Carmela [the caretaker] , who looked after every issue that arose (there were very few), was a pleasure to greet every morning and cooked us several wonderful meals including a lesson in making fusilli thrown in, which was a lot of fun for everyone. When we had a crisis - my friend fell on the last day of her stay and broke her arm - Carmela gave up hours of her time to accompany us to the hospital, which was a 45 minutes drive away. She was a Cilentana tigress on our behalf, ensuring that we were admitted quickly and into X-ray in less than 45 minutes. She stayed with us for a couple of hours, in spite of our pleading that she leave as she had a special family lunch that day, to celebrate her 93 year old mother's birthday. To anyone considering renting Villa Virginia, we would say, consider no longer and do it! You will not regret it. We will remember our visit there for a very long time. I am so glad that Summer In Italy popped up to make contact while I was trying yet again to find a villa in the Cilento area that fitted our requirements. He was efficient, helpful and he or one of his colleagues answered all of my queries immediately in the period leading to our visit.
