The property is brilliant, everything you could need. It could do with updating inside but is great as a base for visiting the local area and the pool is brilliant for lazy days at the villa.

Villa Trotta has views to die for and an amazing pool complex

Villa Trotta has views to die for and an amazing pool complex. The support during our stay was excellent. We were welcomed by the villagers in Perdifumo and over our two weeks there we began to feel almost part of the community. An authentic rural Italy experience with a pool as well.

We were charmed by the villa and the surroundings were absolutely beautiful. The village of perdifumo is lovely. Secluded and peaceful I really enjoyed cooking meals for the family there. You can feel the generations of love in the kitchen. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We had a very enjoyable stay

We had a very enjoyable stay. The house is spacious, clean, and well maintained. Most of the bedrooms have air conditioning and are generously sized, with high ceilings that make the rooms feel bright and airy. The pool is lovely and much appreciated on hot days. The views of the surrounding hills and the sea are beautiful. The house is a great base for exploring the area, and we enjoyed several day trips during our stay. Having a car is recommended. We would be happy to stay here again.

We fell in love with the villa

We fell in love with the villa. It's such a lovely home and it's easy to feel in touch with the lives of generations of family. Working in the kitchen and cooking for my family created such lovely memories. I could feel the presence of Nonnas and mammas who showed their love through their cooking, smiling at the kitchen being alive again. We also loved the pizza oven and used it several times, not just for pizza but to roast meat, which was delicious. The villa is so obviously a family home and it's haunted by the most beautiful and happy ghosts. Summer In Italy is very helpful. I have to be honest, I booked with you because I found the villa on line and it matched everything we needed. But I found the company very attentive and very helpful, supplying lots of detail about our stay so thank you.

Villa Trotra exceeded all our expectations. It represents a little pice of Italian history equipped with all modern necessities. For those with teenagers the wi-fi is ecxcellent. Our stay was entirely positive. Excellent air-con, pool, beds, bathrooms, pizza oven all with so much space. Pool and bathroom towels in abundance. The local town has good restaurants and a bakery. Agropoli is 30 km away with great beaches, history and food. Villa trotda is absolutely fabulous. We cannot recommend it enough.

very cozy house where many can fit. If you don't like walking about 20 minutes into the village, I recommend a car. Or exchange numbers with someone driving a taxi as we did without any problems. Everything we needed was in the house. Something we reacted to was that clothes and towels did not dry inside the house, but otherwise everything was great!

Villa Trotta

Villa Trotta is a beautiful traditional style villa, high up on a mountainside with glorious views over the valley. Local village of Perdifumo just about walking distance with small shop and restuarants, quaint rustic buildings with a fresh water fount. Local people very welcoming. Villa Trotta in excellent order with 2 outside dining areas. The swimming pool was important to us and was fabulous, we used it every day. We had a small child in our group so had to supervise outside stone stairs and swimming pool, so I guess some safety guards would have been useful. A car is needed if you wish to travel to local beach or town. We throughly enjoyed our stay and Trotta Villa ranks amongst the top villas we have rented :-)

Marvelous views, nice size pool, wonderful outdoor areas

Marvelous views, nice size pool, wonderful outdoor areas. A lot of space for hanging out both inside and outdoors. Probably one of the worlds nicest outdoor showers with hot water and those wonderful views. The pizza oven makes great pizzas, it's great to have all those bathrooms when you are a large party. The surroundings are like a little piece of heaven: quiet, peaceful, lush with wild flowers, butterflies, singing birds and rippling streams. The sunsets with views over Capri and the Amalfi Coast is to die for. We even spotted the island of Ischia one clear evening! Summer In Italy gave a lot of great information and were easy to get in contact with. Also very generous that we could use a voucher from the period of Covid, even though we did not have that insurance when we booked Villa Trotta for 2020.

What a fantastic house Villa Trotta is

What a fantastic house Villa Trotta is. I had high expectation due to earlier reviews. But with that astonishing view we did not want to leave the house in the evenings. The pool was also much better than expected. We had also the best weather you can have during the week. And I thought it would be mosquitoes, but we did not notice any. The roads are a bit dangerous and it was dark when we came to Villa Trotta. It is no problem when it is light, but be careful. The service from you were excellent. I will recommend everybody your agency. I will be more than happy to contact you again.

Superb rustic villa surrounded by greenery, a 15 minutes walk from the town center and the minimarket. Luca, with the help of Gioconda, was a present and attentive host. The large house with swimming pool has vintage furniture in line with the structure and the location, bathrooms (recently rebuilt) and kitchen clean and equipped with every comfort. The terraces and the swimming pool are equipped with elegant wrought iron tables, deck chairs and sun loungers, towels and bathrobes for perfect relax, with views of both hills and sea. Well-kept garden with fruit trees and flowers.

Amazing

Amazing! It lives up to the expectations and more! The view is stunning and the house itself is rustic, functional and beautiful. The pool and the garden is also wonderful. An extra plus for the wood fired pizza oven and the outdoor showers. Summer In Italy and its staff have been gracious, responsible and very service minded from start to finish. Fast replies and good help!

Villa Trotta was easily found as it is close to the village of Perdifumo, within the Nature Reserve, and the directions supplied by the agent were easy to follow and very helpful. The property was in excellent condition, clean and well-presented, and the Housekeeper was friendly and attentive, showing us around all the rooms and pointing out the various features. Villa Trotta is not a new-build city-centre rental property. The property is quite old and traditional, and retains its authentic period charm and character. It is situated in a very rural location, and therefore some allowance has to be made for this. The agent's guide explains all this in helpful detail. Two major attractions are the superb illuminated swimming pool, which is of a very good size, and appears to have been very recently refurbished. There is an associated changing and shower block and plenty of good poolside recliners. The other attraction, which is hard to ignore, is the vast terrace which runs across the back of the building, giving wonderful, panoramic and unobstructed coastal views across towards Salerno. There is a large twelve-seater table on the terrace, where we had our meals and watched the fireflies in the evening. There is also a traditional wood-fired outdoor pizza oven, which we used one evening, and which worked very well. As a three-generation family, Villa Trotta was perfect for us all. The rooms were all huge, with high ceilings and plenty of space for everyone, and the situation is quiet and peaceful. We found Summer in Italy to be extraordinarily helpful, friendly and attentive. All correspondence was answered straight away, and the team were always available to answer questions or provide help if needed. We cannot praise them highly-enough, and this would be a prime reason for booking a property through them again in the future.

Villa Trotta

Villa Trotta - this place is so wonderful! Hard to find the words to describe how well we were there. The house is beautiful, has its own soul. All rooms - beautiful and super comfortable. Swimming pool and garden - divine. It is on a hill with a beautiful view (stunning!). Also, price versus quality - we thoroughly enjoyed! All contacts with Summer in Italy have been great. I have already recommended your site to my friends. I found your site by accident, but I am very pleased with your service.
