Situé dans une petite vallée dans les collines du Chianti, cette ferme caractéristique, dont les origines remontent au début du XVe siècle, appartenait à l'origine à la famille Médicis.
Il fait 400 m2 et a été habilement restauré et transformé en une confortable maison de campagne.
La maison est confortable et meublée avec goût et entourée d'un jardin avec des plantes méditerranéennes où se trouve une grande piscine (17x7).
Casale Tagliafune est à 4 km de San Casciano Val di Pesa, à 22 km de Firenze, à 40 km de Sienne et de San Gimignano.

I have nothong but great things to say about the villa and hostess. Six of us stayed there for 7 days. We were greeted by the charming owner how showed us around the house-fire place, laundry area, tv, etc. It is very spacious with a well equipped and large kitchen where we often gaithered.It is remote with a bit of a rough road from the main road but well worth the bumppy ride. Wonderful views from several of the bedrooms.You won't be disappointed, staying at this marvelous villa.

Superb Villa

The villa was fantastic for our family (4 adults and 2 kids). It’s a huge place and the pool was used every day (17m long!). Drive is bumpy but not bad at all. If you’re thinking about booking, just do it and the place is a credit to its owner Loredana.

Our third stay at this villa

Our host Loredana welcomed us back as if we were old friends, it was our our third stay over a number of years and the property improvements made since our last visit 9 years ago have further enhanced what is a stunning property in a spectacular location. We had a lovely relaxed two week family vacation, with lots of pool time and enjoying home cooked family meals whilst looking at the magical Tuscan vistas.The only blemish we experienced was the access road to the property, which would benefit from some surface maintenance.

Perfect spot

The property is as good as it gets. Close to plenty of attractions or the perfect spot to stay and laze the day away. Excellent views and hot air balloons landing nearly in your yard every day. Loredana is fantastic host.

Casale Tagliafune is Superb!

This is our fourth time at Casale Tagliafune and we simply love the villa, the countryside and how close it is to Florence, Siena and the wineries across Tuscany. Loredana is a wonderful host. We had 9 friends and family with us on this trip and we know we will be back.

Absolutely amazing stay!

Loredana’s home was STUNNING and perfect for our group of 9! We loved the pool and all of the outdoor dining spots throughout the property. We used Loredana’s recommendations for a chef and driver and both were absolutely wonderful. Loredana has a real eye for design and every detail throughout the house was chosen intentionally and it created such a beautiful backdrop for our vacation. We are counting down the days until we can go back!!

wonderful villa

We had a wonderful stay at Casale Tagliafune. The location is wonderful near Florence and the many attractions of the Tuscan countryside. The Villa is very serene, and the hosts were very responsive to our questions. They were able to provide a meal the first night and arrange a cooking experience with Candida, who is a lovely person in her nearby home. I hope we can return in the future.

A Gem in Tuscany

We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary with our family at this absolutely amazing villa! It far exceeded our expectations! Loredana was a gracious host and very responsive to our needs. She did an incredible job restoring this 600 year old treasure. The views were breathtaking and the pics do not do it justice! A stunning villa with unprecedented views.

I cannot wait to visit this home again in the spring or fall, as our stay was quite warm. I wish we could have enjoyed the most beautiful home I’ve ever stayed in for longer hours during the day, but we visited during a heat wave. Still, every view, whether inside or out, is gorgeous. And the pool is magnificent. Loredana is the most gracious host. And all of her suggestions were very helpful. If, like me, you’ve had fantasies of staying in a Medici retreat in the hills or valleys of Tuscany, this home is for you.

Best Villa in the Tuscan region!

Upon arrival, we were greeted by the owner (our host). She gave us a very thorough tour of the house & instructed us on how to use everything. We were a party of 8 people (4 couples) & were very comfortable with each couple having their own bedroom & full bathroom. The villa, in addition to the location, is indescribable. The words we used on first sight were, stunning, breathtaking, unbelievable & WOW! My heart will forever be a part of this magnificent Villa. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Tuscany!!!

Italian Paradise

Our group- 5 couples- stayed in this beautiful villa for two amazing weeks. Firstly, our host, Loredana, was wonderful! She communicated with us throughout our stay and ensured that everything was perfect. The house itself is simply beautiful and very spacious. Even though there were 10 of us, it was very easy to find a quiet place if you wanted some time to yourself, and so many places around the property where we could all come together to socialize. The exterior of the property simply can’t be described as it’s just breathtaking. The weather was a little cool throughout most of our stay, so we weren’t able to take advantage of the gorgeous pool, but if you’re going during warmer months, it would definitely be a great feature. As for the location, while it’s a little out of way, we were always glad to return to the beauty of the country after spending the day in nearby Florence or one of the other cities that we visited- most of which were an easy 45-60 minute drive away, so we found the location ideal. If you’re even considering this beautiful villa while visiting Tuscany, don’t hesitate to book it as you will not be disappointed!

A Little Piece of Heaven

Words can’t describe how beautiful this place is. It is everything you could imagine for a Tuscan villa and so much more. The house is beautiful and the scenery is breathtaking. The house is decorated beautifully with ever amenity you could need and outside the views are amazing with views of vineyards and even hot air balloons floating by in the morning. Our host Loredana was also fantastic. She met us at the property to show us around, explain everything, and make sure we had everything we needed. Loredana and her beautiful home made our stay here the highlight of our 3 week Italian vacation. We absolutely hated to leave and are now only thinking about when we can get back to stay here again. Thank you Loredana for the absolute privilege of being able to stay at your amazing home!

Amazing views and property

This was our first stop of many on our trip in Italy. Loredana was waiting for us upon our arrival, and was a pleasure to deal with. She provided recommendations of places to visit for both dinner and vineyards. Additionally, she helped us arrange a cooking class. There were 8 adults and a toddler staying here, and we had plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms with room to spare for us all. She had a pack and play for us to leverage for the toddler and a highchair which was extremely helpful. Additionally, we leveraged the washer and dryer. The pictures do not do the property justice. It was absolutely stunning, and we spent our nights outside on one of the many patios enjoying wine, conversation and food. There was easily parking for our two vehicles, and the place was easy to locate as well. We absolutely loved our stay, and when our travels bring us back to Italy this would be our first choice for a place to stay.

Amazing home perfectly located to explore all of Tuscany

This home was a dream come true—a perfect escape that was located so close to Florence and a good home base to take day trips to all of the Tuscan must-see towns. We would leave the villa around 10am and visit Pisa and Luca to then return home in the early evening to swim in the beautiful pool. We explored Siena, Montepulciano, San Gimignano, & Florence. The home was also beautifully decorated with antiques, but still livable and kid-friendly for our 5 and 7 year old kids. Our host, Loradona was exceptional & so friendly. WiFi was great in the house, but not as strong by the pool. She gave recommendations for antique shops nearby and put me in touch with the chef that she partnered with. Chef Paola was amazing and made the most delicious meals for my family and friends. She knew the villa kitchen well and provided the most detailed table setting—she’s very kind and thoughtful too! It was like living in a luxury boutique hotel, and was just best. The home is perfectly situated for wine, cheese, and olive oil tasting in Chianti. If there is anything to improve on, it would be paving the shared gravel road leading to the villa driveway and either mosquito nuts over the beds or screens in some of the bedroom windows that would allow for this (mosquitoes are aggressive). Make sure to drive through San Casciano, then to the Villa (google maps provides an inaccurate shorter option). I would return here & recommend this villa to colleagues and anyone else who asks.

Magical!!

This property is breathtaking and from the moment you drive the Cypress lined driveway you are transported into a surreal experience I can only describe as magical. Loredana met us at the gate upon arrival and from that moment on I was blown away by the beauty and charm of this 15th century paradise. The pictures online were great but they are nothing compared to seeing it in person. She gave us a tour of the house and all the amenities. Everything is provided. The views are out of this world and there isn't anyone around so my kids could play and run around without worry. There are two kittens on the property and they were one of the highlights! We loved watching them play. The pool was fantastic, the property was spotless, plenty of space for my family of 6. There is a beautiful vineyard just a few yards down the driveway where we got some great photos. We wanted to arrange for a chef to come in one night and cook for us and Loredana put us in contact with Lorenzo and Emilia and it was an out of this world amazing meal!! We are grateful for our time here and cannot wait to go back!

A Dream Come True!

I knew that this was going to be a beautiful property, but I didn’t anticipate just how surreal it would be to stay there. It is absolutely stunning and while the pictures are nice, it’s somehow even better in person - quintessential Tuscany. To recap: (1) The villa – each room is unique, tastefully decorated and complete with every comfort that you may need. For each meal we were eager to choose a new location (there are 7 options!) and afterwards we could select from various seating areas. (2) The property – is carefully maintained and landscaped and oh my the pool! We were lucky to enjoy incredible summer weather and nothing was better than coming back after a day of exploration and jumping in the pool. The home is fabulously located, under an hour’s drive (or much less) to any of the region’s main attractions. (3) The host – receives my utmost compliments! Loredana was so lovely and welcoming and was incredibly responsive to anything we might have needed. She helped us arrange transportation and a chef and everything worked out perfectly. She also helped me with my planning, offering various suggestions in the weeks leading up to our travel. This was a family trip to celebrate a milestone birthday and it exceeded expectations in every way. We are still on cloud nine; it was an experience we will never forget (and hope to repeat before long!). If you have the opportunity to book this amazing place, do not hesitate! And our sincere gratitude to Loredana!

A Villa That Exceeds In Every Way

This was my 4th year at the Casale Tagliafune with our guests and each year our tour is better and better with the villa and the service that Loredana provides her guests. The home now has 5 bathrooms to go with its 5 bedrooms, which provides privacy and comfort for all of my guests. The kitchen is perfect for preparing multi-coarse meals for our guests to enjoy and served by a view that is one of the best views in all of Chianti. The grapes in the vineyard below provide wine which we enjoy with our meals, which makes for a very special dining experience for our guests. The villa is very charming, fully remodel with great country taste, making our visits relaxing and peaceful. The pool is always crystal clear and maintained everyday. The grounds create opportunities for beautiful and peaceful walks, you may even see a hot air balloon go by in the valley. The location is very close to town, making it easy to find all you need to create wonderful meals and quick access to motorways to make your touring day more efficient, providing more time for touring and less time in the car. Finally, it's Loredana and Stefeno that makes this villa the most enjoyable I've every visited, which have been many for my touring business, Italian Culinary Tours. Mixed Feelings

The property is beautiful and in that way matched expectations. The host, Loredana, is wonderful. Easy to get into Florence, just a twenty minute drive to the parking lot at Costanza and a quick tram ride in. Unfortunately, the week we stayed the temperatures were 95 - 100 degrees every day, cooling down to the low 70s at night. The villa is made of stone and thus it retained the heat. The villa has no air conditioning and the first floor interior temperatures reached the low 80s during the day. The second floor, where the bedrooms are, was even warmer. We kept the windows closed during the day and kept the lights off to try and keep it cool. Around 8:30pm we opened the second floor windows to begin to get some cooler air in; this helped, but it took several hours to get down to the low seventies....and, mosquitoes had a field day on arms and legs. Again, the property is lovely, but given the weekly cost I would have expected the host to have several portable wheeled air conditioning units available to help keep the indoor temperatures, especially for sleeping at night, bearable. Electricity costs for the week are passed on to the renters anyway (98 euro for our week....seems high given we used lighting very little?), so increased electrical consumption wouldn't adversely affect the host. I very rarely post anything other than positive reviews, but wanted to present the possible challenging conditions you might encounter if you are considering booking in summer.

C’est une maison extraordinaire dans un environnement magnifique et préservé. Le jardin est propice au repos, la piscine est très grande, belle et agréable et la vue sur les collines toscanes imbattable ! La maison est spacieuse, parfaitement équipée, décorée avec goût et authenticité et Loredana nous a donné de très nombreuses bonnes idées d’activités, restaurants et balades alentour. Bref, une semaine enchanteuse qui donne envie de revenir !

Maison exceptionnelle

Merci et bravo à Loredana pour ce havre de paix. Tout était parfait et de qualité (literie,salle de bain,piscine extraordinaire...etc) Maison très fonctionnelle pour les groupes.
