If we could give Poderi La Rocchetta more than five stars, we absolutely would.My wife and I rented the villa for a week to host our destination wedding, and it exceeded every expectation. We had 16 family members and friends travel from across the United States, and every guest agreed it was one of the most beautiful places they had ever stayed.From the moment we booked, Giulia was an exceptional host. Planning a wedding from another country could have been stressful, but she made the entire process seamless. She was responsive, thoughtful, patient with our many questions, and always willing to help with recommendations and logistics. Her hospitality went far beyond simply renting us a villa.The property is breathtaking. Although it’s only 10 minutes from town, the 50-acre estate feels completely secluded, with stunning views overlooking Lake Garda. The villa is beautifully maintained, and the peaceful setting gave everyone the chance to truly relax and enjoy time together.Spending an entire week with our closest family and friends created memories that simply wouldn’t have been possible at a traditional wedding venue. If you’re considering Poderi La Rocchetta for a family vacation, special celebration, or destination wedding, don’t hesitate. It’s even more beautiful in person than in the photos. This is one of the most beautiful properties I’ve ever visited. It is rare that the real thing is more beautiful than the professional photos. That is the case with this Villa! Our host, Guilia, was very responsive, extremely helpful, and she went out of her way to make this a wonderful vacation for us. This is also one of the cleanest houses I’ve ever stayed in in my life, you could literally eat off the floors. The midweek cleaning was amazing, it was almost like staying in a five star hotel. They have all the basic amenities and then some. From the AC in every single bedroom, to the hot water working perfectly with 11 people using it all the time, to all the little personal touches. You feel like you are staying in someone’s familiar old family home. It is rare that the actual house that you stay in for a vacation enhances the vacation to the point where you don’t want to leave it. I want to go back to this town because of home. That said, we loved the little town of Salo. It was quiet, loaded with amenities and good restaurants, and a 5 minute drive from the house our host recommended a wonderful chef to come to the house. Jo from Jo Cooking, came to our house to do a pasta making session with 11 of us and then again to cook us a special dinner for my mother‘s birthday.Do ask for her information if you are going to stay here, even if it’s just for one meal! We spent one entire day on the lake with Taxi Boat Salo.Party of 11 with kids 7,11,13,17,19.Very easy to drive to!

wonderful setting, beautifully appointed villa

Exquisitely restored villa. Comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms, great pool and beautiful grounds. Quiet , private but not too far from lake Garda and it’s sights. Giulia was very responsive and helpful . I hope we can come back sometime!

Perfection!

Our group of nine loved everything about this property. The grounds were beautiful and very well maintained, and we used the pool every day. The kitchen was very modern and well appointed and everything was extremely clean and well maintained. With a organic winery and a great olive oil producer on the same road, and easy access to local markets and restaurants the location couldn’t have been better. It is also a very peaceful environment, perfect for enjoying a morning coffee of afternoon aperitivo relaxing and taking in the great views and sounds of church bells from the nearby towns.

Amazing Lake Garda house

Our extended family (7 adults, 4 children) spent an amazing week at this beautiful house near Lake Garda. The house itself had everything we could ever need with 6 nice bedrooms with bathrooms either ensuite or very close. The outdoor areas were truly remarkable with 2 spaces for outdoor seating, a great outdoor grill, beautiful/new large pool, soccer field, and expansive grounds. The house served as our base for exploring the towns of Lake Garda (including a great day on the lake with Taxi Boat Salo thanks to another reviewer) and Verona. Nearby the house are numerous stores (supermarkets and specialty shops) and endless vineyards with very nice/cheap wines and oil oils. Lastly Giulia was a fantastic host who was responsive to all of my (numerous) requests, including pairing us up with a cook who conducted a cooking class at the house - it was a real highlight for the kids. All in all a great trip - I highly recommend!

Absolutely perfect vacation!

I just returned from a week long stay at Poderi La Rocchetta, it was absolutely wonderful! The home surpassed all of our expectations. The pictures do not do the property justice. The pool is spectacular, the olive groves are beautiful, the bocci court is great, the landscaping is meticulous and there is even a soccer field! We had ten people in our group, two different families, and the house worked great. The kitchen is stocked with every dish/pan/glass you could need, there are so many special places throughout the home and the property to enjoy an espresso in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening, and the a/c was very cold:) Having a car is ideal in this location as the road is narrow for walks in to town (but it is possible). If you have a car, you can access absolutely anything you need within 10 minutes. Within a mile or so you can access grocery stores and countless restaurants, vineyards, etc. In about 10 minutes you can be into the town of Salo which is stunning and the perfect place to enjoy great shopping, restaurants, and strolls along Lake Garda. We hired a boat through Taxi Boat Salo and had a spectacular day on the water with Marco. From this location, you can easily drive to the northern or southern end of the lake. We had visited Garda once before and we found this to be the perfect location to venture to multiple towns around the lake. The owners are so warm and welcoming and they were incredibly helpful. We'll be back!!

Wir haben als Familie wunderschöne Ferien in dieser grosszügigen Villa verbracht und können sie uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Das Haus bietet viel Platz und der Pool war das absolute Highlight – besonders für die Kinder, die dort jeden Tag grossen Spass hatten.Die Gastgeber waren ausgesprochen offen, herzlich und jederzeit hilfsbereit. Man hat sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen gefühlt. Vielen Dank liebe Giulia! Auch die Sauberkeit war hervorragend, alles war bestens gepflegt und sehr sauber. Die Lage ist ideal, mit guten Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe und einem perfekten Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge.Es waren rundum gelungene Ferien, die wir jederzeit gerne wiederholen möchten. Beautiful property

The house, grounds and pool were all stunning, couldn’t ask for more. Good location to explore Lake Garda area. Giulia was a very good host, easy to communicate with and so helpful. The house was easily big enough to accommodate our family of 13 with 5 children under five. The property surpassed our expectations from the details given. Absolutely wonderful stay.

Eine sehr schöne Villa, der Empfang durch Giulia war sehr herzlich, es wurden uns Getränke angeboten, wir fühlten uns von Anfang an sehr wohl. Der Garten und der Pool war ein Traum, es war ein sehr , sehr schöner Urlaub, wir werden bestimmt wiederkommen.
