This is a luxury one-bedroom self-contained apartment with an open plan kitchen, bedroom and bathroom (30 sqm) on the second floor of the Alum Chine Beach House.

The kitchen is fully equipped including an oven, hob, microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster. The bedroom has a double-sized bed with feather duvet & pillows. Fresh towels are provided.

This apartment runs from one side of the building to the other on the second floor with a view onto a quiet residential road from the bedroom while the open plan lounge opens onto the leafy chine.

The ensuite bathroom has a walk-in rain-style shower. Fresh towels and linen are provided and for stays longer than 7 days the towels will be replaced.

Pets are allowed although you must notify us in advance and there is £20 additional fee, per pet

Foldaway Bed provided at a £15 additional fee

Alum Chine Beach House is a collection of 6 luxury apartments located moments from the Bournemouth Beach and its glorious 7 miles of Golden Sand. Each apartment is finished to a very high standard with high quality furnishings throughout, en-suite shower rooms with rain-head showers and kitchens including all the facilities to prepare anything for a light breakfast through to a full evening meal.

I called it the Alum Chine Beach House as it sums up how I feel about the place, it's super close to the beach, it has the feel of a big Victorian house and we try to make our guests feel relaxed and at home the moment they check in. Leticia is the Reservation Manager and will be your first point of contact throughout your stay. She has been at Alum Chine Beach House now for a while and knows the place inside out and is always more than happy to help with any questions or queries.

The properties are located in Westbourne, just to the west of Bournemouth, which is one of the most elegant and fashionable parts of Bournemouth with an urban village feel. It is definitely not your usual high-street; there is a vast selection of independent stores, cafes and restaurants and is truly a unique shopping experience. Of course the best attraction of the area is the gorgeous golden sands! Alum Chine beach is far quieter than the beaches closer to Bournemouth town centre although is equally as sandy and inviting

Short stay for a leisure break. Flat 5 is a large one bedroom self catering flat at the top of the building (care two flights of stairs, no lift) with everything you'll need for a short stay including free wifi.

Stayed for 2 night with my teenage daughters for a cheer competition at the BIC. Lovey well run self catering accommodation spotlessly clean and in very convenient location for the alum chine beach. Had friends staying in one of the other rooms.

We arrived on a Friday afternoon after a busy week and found the apartment to be very well equipped with tea, coffee etc and even a couple of beers in the fridge. The towels and bed linen were spotless and of good quality and there was a feeling of generosity on the part of the owners.

Very good facilities and thoughtful approach to furnishings and fittings.

Two night stay in apartment 5. A member of staff saw us arrive and whilst it was not her primary duty to do so, she escorted us to our room and made sure we knew everything. She was cheerful and a great help.

A quiet location ,with good accommodation and excellent,efficient service and administration.

The initial admin was easy to complete. There was a friendly welcome and viewing of the apartment.The communal areas were well maintained and carefully thought out.It was quiet and close to the beach. The owner was easy to contact and quick to respond to queries. Michael looked after my cat for three days during a short break from my stay. The complementary drinks in the fridge was a nice touch.The cleaning provided by Monica was very good.

Hi, I'm Michael. Welcome to the Alum Chine Beach House, Bournemouth. I have many years of experience in the hotel industry so have an eye for detail and what guests expect from their accommodation experience. I live in the building in the garden apartment so am often on hand to offer a warm welcome to out-of-town guests or offer advice on the best restaurants and fun things to do in the area if you should need some guidance. We are keen to respect your security and privacy and each apartment is self-contained with its door entry system. We also have CCTV throughout the building and surrounding the property, just to give you peace of mind, Alum Chine is a very safe area.
