Stay in Catania

Very spacious and airy. Bathrooms are quite small but manageable.The WiFi didn’t work which was a huge disappointment as some in our group needed to work. Our stay was short and it was never resolved. Easy walking distance to restaurants and markets

The property is huge. We were a party of three single friends. There are 3 large bedrooms each with an en-suite which suited our needs. The company Wonderful Italy were aware of our situation but only made up 2 of the rooms and not all 3. The check in process was not easy as despite informing the company that 1 person would be there at 3pm, no-one was there to meet her. I had given them her details as I was still in Munich at that time. Trying to co-ordinate this was not convenient as I was heading for a flight to Catania.The property is a little tired and needs some renovation. The shutters are in a bad state of repair and don't close properly. The dishwasher would not work and had a nasty smell. An error message appeared but there were no instructions to help us solve the issue. The utensils are in a bad state and the pots and pans need replacing. There were only three tumblers and 4 mismatched wine glasses which is appalling for a property that accommodates 8 people. There were insufficient bowls and plates for 8 people,The worst aspect was no internet. The host site did not appear as available. We contacted Wonderful Italy immediately. They gave us the instructions but that did not help as the host site was inaccessible. On our 3rd day and engineer came and fixed it. The host site was now available but none of us could connect to it as the connection failed. That was an issue given that 1 of my friends was out of data and then could not check in for her flight home.

Visiting family

The apt was nice when I booked it they said there was AC there wasn't they said there was a coffee pot there wasn't the person who let us in knew nothing about the apt for the money I spent they should figure how to get AC there were using an old cell phone for the WiFi the only way we could charge that phone is if the tv was on we turned the TV it wouldn't turn off with the remote we bought batteries that didn't work so we left the tv on for 5 days when we left we disconnected the tv or it would not have shut off plus they need to make the tv in more then just Italian I'm sure Italians are not the only ones staying there

Lovely apartment in catania

We stayed as a family, 6 adults 1 infant. The place is spacious and clean, the views from the balconies were exceptional One of our bathrooms the light didn't work and the shower head did not hang from the wall. The other bathrooms were all great. Bedrooms were all big and clean. There were safes but we couldn't figure out how to use them. Check in/check out was easy There is an elevator which was very important it is the top floor Only a few minutes walk to everything. No parking but we Parked our car a few blocks away at a lovely family owned car park, pollina park. Would stay here again

Great location!

This flat is great. The bedrooms are big and the views from the balconies are really nice. The kitchen and living area are also really nice. A couple of issues: the third bathroom toilet had no water in it so it would not flush and therefore was not usable. That was frustrating for the guest in that bedroom. Also, it was very cold in the flat when we arrived and it took a long time to warm up. It finally did, but the temperature that the thermostats are programmed for (25) is far too hot. I tried to override it like I do at home but it just kept resetting. The WiFi in the flat is simply a cell phone hotspot. It would, on occasion, allow me to connect my cell phone to the Internet, but it never once connected my computer to the Internet. Just an FYI that if you are depending on access to the Internet, you may not have it with this flat. There are so many amazing restaurants around this area. It really is a perfect location. If we find ourselves in Catania again, we will rent this flat again!
