This 2 bedroom 1 bathroom cottage has two queen size beds in each bedroom and one full bath. There is a full kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, stove, full size refrigerator, coffee pot, toaster and everything you need to cook except for the food. The living room has a full size sleeper sofa that can sleep up to 2 additional people. The cottage is approximately 950 sq ft.

This cottage is located just 2.5 miles east of Munising on M-28. It is close to all area attractions. It is part of the Alger Falls Motel so there is someone on site from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. if you need additional housekeeping items of any kind or area information.

Perfect location

This was perfect for our family getaway. It was in a great location so we could explore the shoreline and be close but yet have our own little space. It has all the essentials of a little cabin. For being close to the hwy, it was still quiet inside. We had no concerns.

Anniversary trip

My husband and I and my sister and brother in law spent three nights in our handicap accessible cabin. It was clean and comfy. My only suggestions would be a bar to assist getting the tub and ceiling fans in the bedrooms.

Fishing Trip

Stayed there with group of friends for fishing weekend in munising. Worked out well nice spot, plenty of room for boats, felt safe leaving gear in boats, plenty of close by amenities.

Our stay was wonderful! Everything was very clean. Beds were very comfy. Plenty of towels and bathroom amenities. Check in and out was easy at the front desk of the hotel. If we come back up this way we would def stay again.

Trip to the UP

This cabin was very convenient to all the Pictured Rocks sites as well as the town of Munising. The fact that it is near the Alger hotel assured that someone was always available should you need them. It is near a busy highway, but that didn't impact our stay. Plus, it assured we could get where we need to go quickly.

Great location

Location was great, close to town. Place was clean, except for ceiling fan, which had some dust and couch had some sand in it. Beds we’re comfortable. Could use some more chairs around kitchen table, we had 5 adults. We had to bring a chair in from the porch. Couch was not very comfy to sit on, so we mostly played games at table. Overall, good place, would stay again.

Pictured Rocks Adventure

Overall our stay here was good. The cabin was clean. Good space for 4 adults - nice size bedrooms, decent beds & bedding, good shower pressure, plenty of bath towels. Easy to find location & close to all the activities we had planned. We were not aware until a week or so before our trip that the cabin is 1 of 2 on a motel property. This was not a problem but caused a bit of confusion with check in. There was not any clear communication that we needed to go to the motel check office for our keys. The cabin listing also indicated that there was a hot tub but we didn't see one. We happened to be in the area during an unusually hot few days and the main room air conditioning unit had a hard time keeping the whole cabin cool. I would suggest having a few portable fans in the cabin to circulate the air. I would recommend this cabin to others staying in the area.

Overall good, slight issues addressed by manager

We enjoyed our stay in munising, location of cabin was right on the highway for easy access to all surrounding activities. There were some minor housekeeping and technical issues with the cabin including a doorknob that wouldn't work and some burnt out light bulbs, along with some candy wrappers and things in the fold out, and a mystery piece of wood with nails that must have come from somewhere in the couch when we opened it up as if it hadn't been used as a bed in a while, which makes sense as there are 4 queen sized beds in the two actual bedrooms. The manager was quick to answer questions and try to resolve the issues in a timely manner. We were thanked by the online manager as well as the on-site manager for bringing up the issues that they didn't even realize existed because the housekeeper was supposed to have done a thorough cleaning recently because she was looking for more hours, but unfortunately there were several fairly basic things she overlooked. Problems were noted, and adjustments to billing made to compensate for the issues.

This cabin was perfect for a long weekend. It is very conveniently located to many trails at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. The beds were cozy and the kitchen was stocked with everything you needed to cook. It was simple to check in and check out and very clean! We would absolutely stay here again.

This cottage is part of 2 cottages that are part of the motel. This particular one was built new in 2010. We also have a smaller one that has 2 bedrooms with one double bed in each room. This one was completely remodeled since we've been here.

With this rental, you will have front desk service that you expect from a motel. Upon arrival, you will be able to check in at the front desk and be able to talk to someone in person if you have any questions about the area. Also, if you have an issue with your unit or need any additional amenities, they will be available to you on site during office hours.
