À propos de cet hébergement

Stunning steading conversion

This stunningly beautiful Scottish holiday villa converted from a farm steading has bags of character along with modern home comforts. It’s all on one level for easy access and can accommodate up to six people in three en-suite bedrooms. The former mill house makes for a memorable master bedroom with its own four poster bed. Set on the breathtaking Logiealmond Estate in the Scottish Highlands with outstanding views over heather-clad hills. A host of fantastic sporting, recreational and cultural opportunities await guests including grouse shooting, deer stalking and salmon fishing.

Welcome to Laverockbank Steading!

Converted from a traditional stone-built farm steading, this property has been wonderfully refurbished into a luxury country cottage. There’s a light, bright and fully-equipped modern country kitchen, with Aga range cooker, induction hob and dining table for six people. With patio doors to the garden terrace and a wall adorned with lovely landscape paintings, this is wonderful space for casual entertaining. The living room has dramatic stone walls, antler pendant lights and comfortable leather sofas to relax into. With a wood burning stove, you can stay cosy on cold winter nights.

There are three beautifully appointed double bedrooms on the ground floor, two with super king-size beds and one with a king-size bed that can be split into two single beds. All the bedrooms have modern en-suite bathroom facilities (one has a fabulous freestanding rolltop bath). The master suite has wonderful circular walls from its former use as a mill house. An American-style four poster bed with dreamy barley twist spires and an impressive chandelier make for a memorable stay in this gorgeous room!

Flagstone floors in many parts of the property make it practical to live in and outside there is ample room for car parking. Equipment such as BBQs, garden furniture, cots, etc. are all available on request. Regretfully, dogs are not allowed in the property although we can provide kennels on the Estate for your four-legged friend.

Laverockbank Steading can be booked together with neighbouring Laverockbank Farmhouse to provide accommodation for up to 14 guests. Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate stag or hen parties at Laverockbank Steading.

Image de profil de l’hôte
Originally from the south coast of England, I relocated to Perthshire in 2019 to look after the Estate’s farming, forestry, shooting and property portfolio. In my leisure time I enjoy climbing Munros, hiking, shooting, gundog training and kayaking.

At Logiealmond Estate our mission is to make our guests’ stay as memorable as possible tailoring our service to their individual needs and expectations. Our luxury accommodation provides a sense of place, allowing our guests the opportunity to relax in the stunning Perthshire countryside, enjoy warm Scottish hospitality, take part in unique outdoor activities and experience the Estate’s rich history and heritage.

Our hospitality team will go the extra mile to personally welcome guests and orientate them into their holiday accommodation. We pay attention to the smallest details, providing lovely touches such as complimentary refreshments, fresh flowers, decanters filled with Scottish spirits, luxury toiletries, fluffy towels and bathrobes, and making sure our properties are immaculately cleaned between visitors.

Our properties have been renovated and built in ways sympathetic to the original Estate buildings, following our ecological philosophy. All utilise the latest renewable energy technologies with ground source heat pumps taking natural energy from the earth to provide heat and hot water for all our holiday and staff accommodation. We have biomass generators and are currently installing photovoltaics with battery storage for all properties. Thermally efficient insulation makes sure that energy isn’t wasted.

With a focus on protecting and enhancing the rich local biodiversity and landscape, there is ongoing large-scale replanting of over 300,000 mixed native Scottish broadleaf trees. The Estate is home to a vast number of red-listed birds and the highest number of registered birds in Scotland including a golden eagle, ospreys, red kites, buzzards and has 54 breeding pairs of curlews. We are also restoring peatland areas to enhance carbon capture.

By providing an abundance of natural, economic and social opportunities, Logiealmond Estate is committed to creating a sustainable environment and to eventually becoming carbon neutral.
