My wife and I have traveled to Asia and Europe for decades but Studio San Pietro will forever hold a place in our hearts. The reason the home is so special is the host, Silvia. I have never had a warmer, more welcoming host in decades of travel. She provides details only a local Roman would know, someone who guides you and holds your hand as you learn the city, a personal restaurant critic who steers you away from tourist traps and towards the places locals dine. She is someone who is in love with the Eternal City and wants you to see the Great Beauty in all its glory. The studio itself is perfect for couples. Comfy bed, full kitchen, ample hot water and water pressure, very clean with everything you need for a stay. The washing machine alone was a godsend as we were staying in Italy for a month. The location is quiet but steps away from bus and train stops. Many wonderful local bistros and cafes to enjoy within walking distance. Some of our favorites, based in most cases on Silvia's recommendation, were the Squili Bistro, Casa Sceppa, Ristorante pizzeria Buona Forchetta, and Blu Mare. She also provided several gluten free options and other eateries we hope to try in the future. Silvia was always quick with suggestions, answers, and directions. I honestly feel like we would not have experienced Rome to its fullest without her help. Truly, the best host we have ever had and someone who is passionate about Roma. Grazie Silvia, sei una persona meravigliosa!
