Fantastic location, super cute row house

We stayed here over Christmas holiday. The property is wonderful and very well appointed. Close to everything. 5 stars!!

Unusual, interesting, excellent property

An unusual, interesting, excellent property, ideal for short stays but no parking facility for longer. Condition was very clean, new appliances in kitchen and bathroom. Furniture modern and basement snug ideal for teenagers and pool lovers. The lobby with original Maltings equipment was especially interesting.

Quirky place in great location

Loved the space and the location, so close to the centre and super quirky. Beds were comfy and linen and towels nice quality and clean. A few niggles - the whole place needs a lick of paint and carpets cleaning now. We stayed in summer so it was SUPER hot, fans would be nice in the rooms. No parking (but that’s what you sign up for when you book and get the fantastic location in return, but it is a niggle). Half a toilet roll left and 3 dishwasher tablets for 5 people for 1 week along with utensils in the kitchen that really need replacing. Just niggles but with these improved it would be a definite 5/5 not 4/5!

Just perfect

A wonderful find very close to the centre extremely clean and very good use of space in a wonderful building The Maltings that has been turned into apartments . A lovely three storey apartment that has a pool table and tv in the basement and three very generous bedrooms . Parking close by does add extra cost but you can park all the time you are there over night we parked for three days and didn’t move the car once. Communication with stays of York was wonderful very clear information and a lovely welcome bad of essentials. Can’t wait to revisit just wonderful . We visited with three teens who each loved it also.

This was a "fun" place to stay. Nice place overall and I would definitely stay here again on a visit. Enjoyed the pool table room and thankful for the washer/dryer. It's not too close to the shambles/ wall so expect some walking. Also there are lot's of stairs, and it can get really hot without air conditioning (when it's actually warm in York). There's no designated parking so we did have to use the overnight parking about 5 minutes away. Overall, our family enjoyed the home.

Great for familes

The property is a fun conversion of an old malt factory. It is split over four floors, each level is small. Lots of walking up and down. The ceilings are low so anyone over 6' will have to be very careful. The kids loved the mini pool table. The location is perfect - just a short walk into town but outside of it so very quiet. Just a block away from the Slip Inn pub, a charming place with a ton of history. For families, the real star of the show is the full size washer and separate dryer - rare for the area. The dryer has a little water tank you have to empty but works well.

Lovely but warm

Mostly perfect my only suggestion would be to find a way of cooling the upper floors in high summer… otherwise a lovely experience all round.

Pre-Christmas trip

Really fantastic place, great location. My boys and I loved the pool table. The kitchen was well-equipped and the place had lots of original features from when it was a Maltings. Would recommend!
